Dear mrs. Skuta, sorry to hear about your troubled stay. To respond to some of your claims, we advertise the view of the lake, not immediate proximity. It is true that Hotel Triglav lies on top of the hill above lake Bled. Walk up is quite steep, but then again the walk down takes only about 5 minutes. Regarding the poor service, we are truly sorry you felt this way. In all honesty, we do send 2 messages to every guest before arrival, explaining how the restaurant works, reservations are mandatory for hotel guests too, even though they are treated with priority. Like you said yourself, you arrived at 7PM which is already 1 hour into dinner service. We are not keeping tables open "just in case" during peak season. We believe everyone can understand that. We always recommend nearby places to eat and room service for those that don't feel like going out. Late arrivals are offered snacks, upon advanced notice... We understand you might felt disappointed, because we couldn't get you a table on a fully booked night. But to say there were no smiles, no friendliness etc. is kind of hard to believe. We take great pride in our hospitality and service. Tourism has been one of the main economy sectors of the region. Our standards are far from a low point you are trying to imply. Every now and then we might get nothing from a guest and it is hard to respond otherwise than in kind. We'd gladly welcome you again to improve your firsts impression. Feel free to contact us again. Dear mr. Murray, thank you for your review. While we prune the spruces in springtime, please keep in mind that the three tall trees in front of the hotel have been there since before the building. We do not plan on cutting them down. Island can be seen from the restaurant, terrace and most of the rooms. Sorry for your trouble & all the best, Jurij, Hotel Triglav Bled
