Lovely country hotel
We had a lovely time in the Eype Mouth Country Hotel. We upgraded to a sea view room, which was really nice and comfy. The bar meals and the breakfast were nice and tasty and very filling. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and a big thumbs up goes especially to Abbie. We even had nice, yummy cake waiting for us in our room. Thanks Abbie and team, from Rob and Sue, room number 6.

Overall a pleasant stay, have to say not the best for value... the evening meal was good but having to pay a premium for adding mushrooms on a basic steak meal was a little suprising tho' in comparison my wife's fish dish was very nice I was told...breakfast was good and fresh too.. The young team staff were pleasant and attentive which was good but it would have been better if the Manager/Owner had actually spoken to us on arrival as he was behind the reception desk at the time.. Many may think I am being 'pickie' here but when you are paying £250+ for a 1 night stop it has to be right...

Very comfortable with beautiful view. Staff were delightful...so polite and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Slight issue with carpet but that is being replaced soon.

Small room
Acceptable have stayed in better hotels for same /less money room very small decor is dated looked out on house being renovated one radiator not working staff were amazing very helpful and friendly breakfast menu was OK there was no vegetarian option but was able to ask for specific items on last evening we asked for sandwiches to be made so we could eat them later after kitchen had closed They were very disappointing a cheese and pickle sandwich was my option and lots of cheese fell out and when I removed pickle there was hardly any cheese left very poor quality sandwiches

A delightful find
We enjoyed two very pleasant nights at this hotel. Nothing to complain about whatsoever. Should mention that the meals were very good, both to eat, and value for money. Hats off to the kitchen brigade!

Amazing friendly staff, good choice of food and breakfast was fantastic. One thing I will say, the roads leading to the hotel are very tight, so be careful.

Turned us away saying they didn’t have our booking. This resulted in ruining our entire weekend, as we were attending a wedding in which we had to leave early to get back home instead of enjoying the celebrations all evening and staying locally like planned.

Location, location, location
Excellent location, minutes from the sea and coast path, with stunning views. Hotel itself a little dated, though lounge nicely updated and terrace with sea views. Breakfast excellent, dinner ok. Limited bar and service overall clearly affected by low staffing levels, though the staff actually present were really friendly and helpful at all times.

Clean, classic style rooms, spacious, lovely views, tea coffee making facilities, plus other facilities. Staff superb, super helpful. Made our stay really nice.

Would reccomend for a weekend away.
A really nice stay, beautiful location with great sea views. The breakfast was great with a nice selection, i had milk poached haddock and my partner smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, both cooked perfectly. Plenty of free parking on site, rooms and bathrooms were clean and nice enough. Really friendly staff and a decent bar too.

The property is walking distance to the shoreline and there are various walking trails in the area. They have a nice bar, terrace and breakfast area. This seems like the perfect location for a wedding. What I did not like was the one car width road to access the property that had heavy traffic. It is completely impractical and dangerous for that volume of traffic. The staff is comprised of slackers and those picking up the slack and it's fairly evident who is who. It would be nice to see everyone pulling their weight instead of some standing around aloof and others running around like crazy to pick up the slack.

Relaxed, welcoming hotel in beautiful location
We loved the unpretentious, relaxed feel of this hotel. Lovely manager and staff who went out of their way for us. And it's in a wonderful spot, with beautiful sea and countryside views and a short walk to the beach.

Beautiful,quiet spot,yet accessible.Comfortable hotel,friendly,helpful staff. Food good.Access to quiet beach. Excellent walking opportunities.5 min Leisure Centre. I enjoyed my short stay.

Great spot
Staff were super friendly, food was lovely and the room was well clean. Short walk to a stoney beach with a lovely little hidden cafe on the way down. Perfect for a couple! The only thing that we had to complaina about is that the room tea facilities didnt have sweetners only sugar.

A pleasant old-fashioned sea-side hotel on the headland. Short walk on nice paths down to the waterfront. Quite large rooms for an English hotel.

Wonderful warm welcome
I was down in Bridport for the Jurassic Coast Challenge and booked a night here to recover. Proved to be an excellent decision. The hotel is easy to locate with a large carpark. Sadly the weather and my feet were in no state to explore the area or the beach so I will definitely be back. The team at checkin were wonderfully warm and had time for a chat about the event. Ordering breakfast the day before meant it was cooked to order and ready to go. Both the breakfast and the sirloin steak I had in the bar were superb. The dining area has fantastic vies of the surrounding area and the sea so can imagine having a beer on a warm summers night on the patio. The room was just up a small flight of stairs. Room had everything i needed and the bed was perfect for me (almost too perfect when i had a lie down after breakfast and had to force myself to get up to checkout). The staff are superb and nothing is too much trouble. I will be back!

Excellent location. Visited before. Very friendly , warm and helpful staff. Accommodation slightly tired looking. The hotel rate however is reasonable with breakfast included, which was well cooked. The bad note was the bar meal. The steak (a little chewy) was okay but presentation, especially the chips could havd been better. The curry was very disappointing. The sauce with no texture or sign of vegetables i.e. onions a basic ingredient or taste of spices and herbs. The sauce tasted straight from a bottle/jar of Jarfrezi orTikka Masala heated with the chicken. I mentioned this to the very atttentive waitress who said she would mention my comments to the kichen. This was an expensive bar meal so hence these detailed observations I'm highlighting here. .

A few restful nights
Good, once I found the hotel, which is along a country lane. Sign posting is a little small & easy to miss but it is quite straightforward after one drive to and from hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good and there was a very good selection for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
