“If you are traveling for history and historic beauty this is the place, but like a very old Jaguar, even when restored is going to be a bit...unreliable. The hot water, once you turned on all the taps to get it, lasted three minutes...if you are old or disabled, the stairs are a challenge, the AC struggles to keep the room cool and this is when we are not in a heat wave...no refrigerator to keep your food cool, either. It is a beautiful hotel, but not a practical place...like an old Jaguar.”

“As soon as I walked into my room, I could tell it had not been cleaned. Floors had dirt all over, and what looked like coffee spills on the floor that would have simply come off with an easy sweep and mop, which had clearly not have been done. The bathrooms were at best, tidy. Bathtub and toilet were dirty and hadn't been wiped or cleaned, as well as garbage was still in the garbage can. I left immediately, and when I called to ask for some sort of partial refund, all they could do was offer me...

“Didn't stay there. Websight said vacancies, i booked. When i got there they said they were full. They shuffled me off to their friends motel that i had stayed at before and did want to stay again because of mould. Exhausted, I stayed. Got sick, went to hospital. All arrangements between friends carried out in language i did not know. I felt ' managed' and basicaly an inconvenience to these men. ”

“I booked for my mom as were relocating her down, the owners are lovely and you can see where they are doing renovations, I do believe the other rooms are renovated to what the photos look but the room we ended up with was at the starting stages of renovations, patchwork on the walls and minor aesthetic issues, but for the price and the care of my mom's wellbeing from the staff I can't really complain about the room not being like the photo. Would book again”
