Hotel a Granton

“Check in was a bit unusual: no one at front desk, but a note from the management with a phone number to call to check in. Call went through, and the hotel keeper texted our room number, the door code, and the wifi password. Room was on the second floor (no elevator that we could see), and was very cold (-8 C outside). We cranked up the heater and still pretty cold after an hour or so, but by the time we returned from dinner several hours later, the room was very warm. We did think that, since...

“I was in room 4, Queen main floor. It had two windows that opened to a inner wall which was perfect for me. I could have the windows open, fresh air and no worries of people. The room was bright and very comfortable for my week stay. The staff checked in everyday but other than that I saw no one. Perfect for the antisocial/ want to be left alone type traveler. “The room was clean, the staff was wonderful and offered me a free room upgrade as i was travelling alone and they originally wanted to put me on the 1st floor, i asked for a higher level for saefty they were happy to provide no questions asked!”

“There was lots of parking. The room was clean, although it did smell a bit Smokey. There was no coffee maker in the room which I thought there was supposed to be. I could be wrong. The bed was comfy and it was quiet. We made use of the jacuzzi tub which was nice.”

“I was placed in a small room when the hotel was not overly booked. Online, booked a room with standing shower and was given a room with shower/tub. Very average experience. Nothing worth returning for. It was a room for the night. Nothing more.”

“Didnt use the laundry. The exterior was being renovated so they appear to be putting mo ey back into the place. Staff were friendly. It was winter when I stayed there. The heater worked very well. Lots of parking. Food places, mostly fast food, in the area seem to close around 11pm-12am. ”

“Called and asked for an early check in, was rudley told no. And then a friend called and asked and was told they could. So I’m not sure why that option was not available to me. Couldn’t use my credit card to leave a deposit so I had to use debit and have it returned before I left. Room also had a slight old cigarette smell ”

“Would definitely recommend! Charming and comfortable room. Nice touches like coffee and honour bar and locally sourced snacks. Bathroom was fully equipped down to qtips and a mini toothpaste. All the extra touches like a welcome note made it a place to return to. Restaurant and happy hour downstairs a plus. Apple Pie Sangria was a stand out.”

“Clean, comfortably lit, comfortable bed, stairs in room sized and laid out perfectly. Restaurant and food amazing. Parking access the street was heated and very secure! Didn’t want to leave.”
