Exceeded all expectations
On walking into the property it was breathtaking. Amazing styling, beautiful collection of books and fantastic artwork. We were instantly drawn to the pool and swam in it every day, as we were lucky enough to have warm and sunny weather. Carcassonne as a town is lovely, only a short stroll to the best boulangerie, the square, and a beautiful shop called Ferme. We enjoyed a couple of trips to the Cite de Carcassonne as our sons loved playing Knights but for the most part we didn’t want to leave the house! Such a wonderful relaxing time with many great memories. Cathra was an amazing host, offering plenty of local tips and always happy to help if we needed anything. She has carefully equipped the house with everything you could need. Nothing is missing or out of place. We all felt incredibly lucky to have found and stayed this amazing place with an equally fantastic host! Thank you Cathra.

Truly amazing house in a wonderful location
The property was just outstanding. The house itself is just beautiful, so wonderfully modernized by Cathra and her family with such attention to detail and quality. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable, each with lovely features and character. The cellar cave with TV and games was a blessing in the 40+ heat wave, and the kids loved spending some private time down there. The kitchen has everything you need and more. The backyard and pool are so private and you truly do feel like you are in the middle of the countryside! The pictures make the pool look smaller than it actually is, we found it to be a great size and you get all the sun into the garden that you want, with shade also easy to find. The location is right in the middle of the cite, a 2min walk to cafes, bakeries and restaurants. Parking is nearby (3min walk) and is included in the property. Cathra and family were great hosts and made us so welcome. They also shared some great ideas for things to do and places to go. If you want to spend some time in this beautiful area, you will never regret booking here. We hope to come back with the rest of the family in the near future!!
