I made this reservation two months prior to my trip. The reservation confirmation notice stated that: “There is no front desk at this property. To make arrangements for check-in contact the property 24 hours in advance using the information on the booking confirmation.” The booking confirmation provided a local Thailand number and another telephone number that appeared to be from the United States. No email address was provided for the property. Neither of the telephone numbers provided were functional. I called both numbers numerous times during the two days prior to the reservation but both numbers simply provided error messages. I attempted to call hotels.com but their agents were not available. I attempted to reach an agent via the hotels.com
app but there were no agents available using the chat function and the direct message function was deactivated. They have no email address listed on the app that I could write to. I was on my way to Chiang Mai and, after spending hours attempting to call the property (per their own instructions) and calling hotels.com numerous times, I had no way to confirm if I would be able to check in at the hotel. I arrived in Chiang Mai and, as I suspected, once I reached the hotel there was no-one at the front desk, I had no room number or key available and therefore the hotel room I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IN FULL was not available. My wife and I ended up walking with all of my luggage up and down the street looking for a hotel that was not full
