We enjoyed our stay! Loved the decor style and colors, it was very warm and inviting. The cottage, patio, garden, and she shed were all so welcoming.
The bed was comfortable for me but a little short for anyone over 6' tall.
The kitchen included everything for a light breakfast of tea/coffee and porridge. The electric kettle could not be used as it was quite full of limescale crust that flaked out into the water, but the microwave worked just fine for heating water for tea. If you plan to do any cooking, you'll need to bring your own oil, pepper, etc. We used the hob and it worked well for making eggs, cheese toasties, etc.
FYI the fridge is noisy, it bothered my wife at night but didn't bother me. Apparently others have complained, too, because the workaround offered is a cooler bag with cold packs. This wasn't necessary for us, we used the fridge. The freezer needed defrosting and couldn't be used.
This location is very tranquil and the cottage is quiet. A neighbor had guests outdoors one evening and I didn't hear them at all until I went outside.
I appreciate the eco friendly approach in the cottage such as bamboo toilet paper, eco bath products, composting, recycling, etc. Paper towels are not provided so do bring your own roll.
During our stay we let our host know there were a lot of bees getting in the cottage somehow, even with windows and doors closed. We expect and tolerate typical bugs like spiders, flies, etc. as a fact of life in the country, but the needs were excessive.
The rain shower was roomy and refreshing. I liked the towel warming rack.
Overall a good stay and we would stay here again.
