Great place for a short stay

President's Day Weekend
Just the quiet getaway we needed. Well-appointed kitchen and comfortable living area. My husband assisted Mark in feeding the horses - the little Shetland pony was so sweet!

Hinkley Horsefarm
We had a last minute change of plans (we’re melting!) and decided to head to Cleveland for some Ray’s MTB Park action. Susan and her family were gracious and accommodating hosts. It was a little challenging to get the temperature evened out in the place, but all of the amenities we needed for 4 were readily available, and we were OK making the kitchen, bathroom and entryway relatively hot to keep the bedrooms and living room at a livable temperature. The outside area was great. Close to Cleveland but not in the city was what we were looking for and this place fit the bill. There were trails on the property that we didn’t even get to check out because we were minutes from Whipp’s Ledges and the Cuyahoga Valley Natural Recreation Area as well, and we only stayed two nights. We’ll almost certainly visit again when we are in the area and probably try out one of the other two air bnb’s on the property: the cabin or the farmhouse. Thanks for the hospitality!

Thank you for your input, it's much appreciated. After receiving your response, we adjusted the heat registers in the kitchen and entryway by closing them a touch so more air would be forced into the living room and bedroom areas. Additionally, we fully opened the registers in the bedrooms and living room to allow more warm air from the gas forced air furnace. We also purchased a window wrap pad for the living room window. This should prevent cool air from entering around the window on colder days. We also purchased and installed a threshold pad for the bottom of the exterior door. That should assist with preventing cold air from entering at the base of the door. You and your family are always welcome. We are glad you enjoyed your stay, hope to see you again soon... Private 30 Acre Horse ranch
We travel for work often and rent a lot of VRBO properties. This property sets itself apart from all other experiences. The pictures don't do the property itself justice, they don't show the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. You are close to the city, but set back in a private oasis, surrounded by nature and breathtaking views. The owners immediately respond to all inquiries and go above and beyond to make their little paradise exceed expectations to give you the ultimate vacation experience. We would strongly recommend this location and we will be renting it again in the future.

Mark and Tiffany were fantastic guests and they are welcome to any of our Airbnb’s any time without hesitation. In lieu of staying in the bunkhouse, they opted to stay in the cabin on the same property. They seem to thoroughly enjoy the property and the trails behind the cabin, which they took advantage of on their daily walks. They mentioned that if they return they may bring their grandchildren. That would be a real treat for us as Mark and Tiffany seem to be such a wonderful family.

Super Relaxing
Very cool place to stay. The pool/patio were great. We loved the woods and the meadow. Very convenient to Cuyahoga Falls NP and to Cleveland, but far away from anyone else.

Vacation in Cleveland area
The Cottage is awesome and the owners were amazing. They were very nice and made our stay very comfortable. There is a ton to do locally near the cottage - but we were able to travel three times to Cleveland during the 5 day stay to visit the city - which we loved. Overall - a very relaxing 5 days and so much fun!

Wonderful stay
My family and I had a magical stay. We were greeted by Susan and received a tour around the property. We enjoyed the horses, the sweet farm cats, and the pool! The house was comfortable and clean. Highly recommend.

Best trip ever!
My family stayed at River Road Farmhouse to visit family in the area and now, we will never stay anywhere else! The rental home and farm were breathtaking and picturesque. Susan and Mark were gracious and helpful hosts. My kids love horses and were beyond excited to help feed and care for the three horse that live at River Road Farmhouse. We spent our time exploring the wooded trails along the river, cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, swimming in the huge in-ground heated pool, and relaxing on the enormous comfy patio. I can’t say enough about how magical this place is. Thank you, Susan and Mark!

Cabin in the Woods
My Wife and I have stayed in a lot of VRBO’s and this by far was our most favorite! The house: there are 3 rentals available on this property, each of them professionally decorated, super clean and equipped with everything that is needed. We stayed in the house at the back of the property for the privacy and beautiful setting. The property: 30 beautiful acres loaded with nature galore! We watched the deer move around the property in the evening. We walked the trails all over the property and along the river. We purchased apples and fed the horses daily. The location: Hinkley Park entrance less than 2 miles from driveway. CVNP within 10 minutes. Grocery Store, restaurants, shops, etc 10 mins. Major interstates 5 mins. Awesome location to get to Akron and Cleveland. The hosts: Susan and Mark were amazing hosts. We felt and were treated like family during our stay. The entire property is truly a reflection of their hard work and passion. We concluded that we felt like we were staying on the “Dutton Ranch” in Yellowstone. We are looking forward to returning this fall!

Perfect stay for a family getaway
We had a terrific stay here! We spent the mornings exploring the national park and spent the afternoons hanging around the pool. The kids loved the barn cats, watching the horses and exploring the surrounding land. The hosts are super nice and welcoming. Highly recommend.

The Perfect Getaway
Our hosts were amazing. Susan brought the kids for rides on her golf cart to explore the pond, cabin, woods, and river. She even left it for us to go out ourselves. We enjoyed the quiet and serene location.. pet and fed the horses.. had a nice camp fire our last evening complete with S'mores. When I'm back that way this will be where I stay. Best kept secret.

Awesome property with excellent hosts!
This was the perfect stop for us on our way to Niagara Falls from Northern Kentucky. The location was perfect for hitting the trails in Cuyahoga National Park as well as taking in some of the local attractions. The pool was a great place to hang out and relax. Our kids fed the 3 horses one night which they really enjoyed. The house was also just as advertised. We cooked at "home" both nights and the cookware worked well for feeding our family of four. We will definitely be back if we find ourselves in the area again!

Fun weekend getaway
We recently stayed at Susan’s place and had such a nice time! Traveled with my husband and our young kids, ages 4 and 6. They absolutely loved the cowboy decor and felt like they were living in the wild wild west. We visited cuyahoga falls Np and had a great time but all of our daughter wanted to do was get back so she could pet those cats :) the check in process was easy, the house was clean, and the location was great, close to the park and felt very secluded in the country, but a ton of restaurants and stores within a 10 minute drive

Beautiful getaway
We had a last minute weekend trip with our two young boys. They had a blast and so did we. The house set up was perfect and amenities were great. We had a fire in the fire pit one night, checked out CVNP one day, explored Cleveland, fed horses, played with sweet barn kitties. I could go on and on. My boys already want to go back here.

The perfect location.
We had plans in Medina and Cleveland on this trip. This house was located right in the middle and made for a short drive to both directions. It was nice and quiet, and beautiful scenery. My daughter enjoyed petting the horses. Everything in the house was top-notch.

Awesome Getaway
The property was clean and comfortable. It was the perfect location for our trip to CVNP! Sitting at the outside fire pit on Saturday evening was the perfect end to a day of hiking! The host provided all of the details we needed to access the property well in advance. This made our trip even more enjoyable knowing we had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing weekend away!

Close to nature
We stayed so we could hike various trails in the National Park, which were all close. It was a nice property: pool access, internet, washer/dryer, and able to see horses in the gated fields. Only downside was the barn cats, as they were too friendly and tried to come into the house and jumped in our car.

Lovely stay, especially the outside space and pool
We loved our stay here. We were able to travel to various hiking trails in Cuyahoga Valley National Park from this location. Our girls loved playing in the pool, and the patio space and lounge chairs felt like a luxury vacation. The home was as described and had amenities like a dishwasher and washing machine, which made the trip easier. The internet was in and out, but that didn't bother us, we were there to be outdoors. At dusk we could watch their horses, deer grazing in the field, and so many fireflies. Lovely little vacation. Thank you!

Relaxing Getaway
I recently stayed here with my husband and 2 kids. The house was the perfect size, well stocked, and clean. Our kids loved the fun decor. The property was beyond beautiful and our host was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The location was great for getting to Cuyahoga Forest easily for hiking. I would highly recommend this stay for a family looking to get away, enjoy nature, and some swimming. Susan is a wonderful host and made sure we had a great time!

Hinckley Horse Farm
My sister and I took our mom for a hiking trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park and surrounding areas and chose this location for our stay. Susan was a fantastic communicator, and also told us about the hiking trails right on their property and a local reservation with more gorgeous hikes. We loved the decor, and had fun petting the horses and cats as well! Would definitely recommend for a nice, quiet stay in nature!

Perfect weekend getaway for Easter
We came Friday night and there was a problem where the thermostat was not working properly and the house felt like 95 degrees when we arrived. The owners were very responsive and available. They accommodated us quickly to another house on their property that they have recently turned into a VRBO. Everything was brand new. It was peaceful and comfortable. Our girls loved their room and said their twin beds were the most comfortable beds ever. It felt like we were at home. The location was perfect for us to visit the National Park and take a day trip to the Cleveland Zoo, Guardians game and see Lake Erie. We were greeted by a friendly black cat as well. Thank you for your hospitality.

Loved this place!
My husband, two daughters and I stayed here for 2 nights during our Spring Break and loved the property. The horses, cats, etc., were a huge hit with my daughters and the owners were so kind in allowing us to feed/meet the horses on our first morning. The home is very comfortable and nicely appointed. I can't imagine you will need anything, but if you do just contact the owners and they will help out right away. The property is very close the all the parks have to offer. It is a special place and we hope to come back over the summer to visit the owners, animals, and hopefully use the the pool!

Great Thanksgiving Getaway
We planned to stay at the Country house for our Thanksgiving getaway but ended up staying in the Farm house, which is located on the same property. They just finished remodeling the house and it's simply beautiful. So tastefully decorated and the best quality amenities. It had everything we needed and was so cozy and comfortable We enjoyed the relaxing country side. Our 9 yrs old daughter loves horses and she had a great time visiting the horses in the barn and helping to feed them. She also made friends with their three little kittens. Susan, the owner was especially responsive and accommodating. She made sure that we had a great time staying at her place. Bob, her brother is also friendly and helpful. He gave us the tour to the river behind the property and it was fun! This was the perfect getaway place for us.

Peaceful, quiet setting in the country, but close to town, only a short distance.
Ranch house was very comfortable for 4 adults. The only comment I have is that the smaller second bedroom with the double beds, it is very difficult to short the door, the one bed is very close to the bed. Needed to place the bed on an angle to open and close room. Not having a closet in this room to place our bags and things made the room seem even smaller. Loved the setting and the accomodations overall.

BEST VRBO RENTAL EVER!
This was our 2nd yearly “girls’ trip” at this home and we can’t say enough wonderful things about the home, hosts, location, amenities and responsiveness. Favorite things: the heated pool we enjoyed every day, the gorgeous and well-maintained patio, lounging area, gas grill, grounds, and trails; the firewood for our evening fires at the relaxing firepit; being able to help feed the horses and barn kittens, the gorgeous sunsets and a very special thanks to Bob and Shirley, who graciously tolerated our many questions, our never-ending presence while feeding the animals and the all-around friendliness, helpfulness and kindness they showed us during our stay. We loved the remoteness of our accommodations but the close proximity to world-class parks and recreation. The home is beautifully decorated and very well stocked…laundry facilities are a plus! It was exceptionally clean and welcoming. Our host Susan was especially responsive and accommodating. We truly enjoyed every second of our stay and can’t wait to return.

Perfect gateway!
What a wonderful time we had at Susan’s guest house! The scenery, the location, the pool, the barn and the horses were just perfect! Susan’s responsiveness and kindness made our stay carefree. We visited Cleveland, the Hinckley Reservation, the Cuyahoga National Park, the Cleveland zoo, Chagrin Falls… everything is close! The three little kittens became our 10 year old best friends.
