Perfect place to stay in Colombo!
Moss was perfect for our 2 night stay in Colombo before travelling around Sri Lanka. Simple stylish decor. The room was nice, clean, had a great shower and comfortable bed. All the staff are so friendly, and offered great tips for where to eat and visit and are so good to chat to. The breakfast which costs extra was delicious and definitely worth it! Free filtered water. Highly recommend.

This is my second stay at Moss Colombo, and again it was perfect. We arrived at 1am and welcomed and looked after with beautiful rooms, cold drinking water and early breakfast as we were leaving for Trinco at 7.45 am. It’s very central and away from traffic noise. We stay for another 2 nights on our way home.

検索した住所と実際の住所が違う(400と出るが、150？)&大通りから少し入った所にあり、見つけられずに苦労しました。 Googleマップで見ると、Bauddhaloka Mawatha通りのVoc Cafeの方の大きな木のある横道の奥です。 また、最初は部屋のドアをうまく開閉できなかったです。(ドアをカチっと音が鳴るまで力いっぱい押す) 初めは大変でしたが、立地も良く、部屋も綺麗、チェックイン時に貰える周辺マップがとても便利で、帰る頃にはまたここに泊まりたいと思いました。 ベアフットやスパセイロン の大きな路面店も歩いて行けます。 近くのパラダイスロードのギャラリーカフェでの夕食はとても美味しく素敵でした！

If you are stayimg in Colombo for a few days this hotel is great. The very informative staff gave us a map with all the close by restaurants and attractions. The room was clean and had free tea and coffee.

Moss Colombo - Clean & comfortable. Friendly staff. Nice to be outside of central Colombo, but only a fifteen minute tuk tuk to the fort. Some noise from building work next door, but not too bad. Thank You.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED MOSS!!!
PERFECTION!! We have zero cons, only positives! Great central location in the city and easy to Uber to our destinations close by. Loved the building and rooms which were super trendy, clean, minimal and aesthetically pleasing. Find cute little quotes hidden throughout. Beautiful interior design. Surprisingly quiet despite just off a very busy main road. Private feeling, we were able to go about our day with no hassle or disturbances. Security on premises 24/7. Lovely staff. Breakfast options at an added cost which we unfortunately didn't get a chance to try but the smoothie bowls sounded delish! Loved our room ... it was simple but well thought out with everything we needed. Spacious bathroom and the best rain shower we experienced in Sri Lanka over all our other hotel stays (which included some pretty fancy places). Aircon was left on for our arrival which was a thoughtful detail. Definitely would stay here again on our next trip and have already recommended to all our friends and family. Thanx MOSS team :)

An aesthetically pleasing hotel - with friendly staff but it’s let down on the details and the feeling that the owners are squeezing out the profit - breakfast is crazily overpriced and no reception staff first thing a.m. or pm - at times you might just need them (come on we’re paying decent room rates - create employment opps for great hospitality staff in Colombo!) Plus the beautifully designed hotel is looking tired - it’s a tropical island after all so wear and tear inevitable - nothing a regular repaint and a bit of fixing can’t amend. There is also building works going on in the adjacent building - this isn’t mentioned so be prepared for some noise in some rooms. Staff friendly, warm and helpful and dealt with my complaint kindly - moving me to another room without a fuss.

Great place to stay. It has a wonderful design that emphasises nature and open ventilation, rather than an intense air conditioned environment. Close to important areas of Colombo but down a little street making it quiet.

シナモン・ガーデンズ地区にあり、38番バス停もすぐそばなので、市内観光やゴール行きのハイウェイバスが出発するバスターミナルへの移動にも便利。室内も清潔で快適。フロントスタッフもこちらからの色々なリクエストに的確に対応していただきました。次回も利用したいと思います。

Decent hotel. Great service and friendly employees. The hotel itself looks very modern and has a nice hangout area once you enter. My room was okay but a bit small, had some ants, and the mattress pad on my bed was pretty disgusting. Would I stay here again? Unlikely.

Deux nuits passées dans cet îlot de calme au milieu de la tumultueuse ville de Colombo. Jolie chambre sobre, grande et confortable. Un personnel impeccable, aidant au possible pour régler des questions de transport, restaurants, blanchisserie...Vraiment très bonne prestation incluant un petit déjeuner 5 US$ tout à fait correct.

Rent och fräscht BnB i central Colombo.
Riktigt prisvärt och bra boende. Det ligger centralt med gångavstånd till exempelvis Barefoot och The Gallery. Mycket rena rum med ordentlig dusch och bra vattentryck. Mysig känsla och smakfullt inrett BnB. Kan absolut rekomendera detta och kommer utan tvekan bo här igen. Dock kan det vara lite svårt att hitta pga att det ligger på en liten privat gata bredvid huvudgatan bakom ett stort träd!

Hotel is difficult to find the first time. It is down an alley. It is located on the fringe of the main parts of the city. Staff were OK, the room was clean and the breakfast was good.

Spacious room with good working AC
The Moss was hard to find initially (should have a sign posted) because it’s in an alley & both Google & Apple maps places it somewhere else. The shared spaces are nice with minimalist but functional furniture. My room was a queen with a comfortable bed, area for luggage, TV & table/chair. There’s a few hangers air dry your damp clothes (it’s very humid outside). The A/C & fan work great but power is controlled by a key. The room can get hot after a full day being out. The rain shower was def a highlight esp when a whole day of exploring. It’s about 20 mins tuk tuk ride to Colombo Fort station to head else where. But location is fairly good. Tuk tuk is very affordable if u used the pickme app. The staff were fine. I arrived around 9pm but the main staff were gone so the security guard helped me (with a phone call to one of the staff). He was a bit intrusive but harmless. So I was still able to get my room. Checkout was fine too. Moss allows luggage to be stored after checkout (I had a late flight) & kindly gave me one of the dorms to shower in. That was a much appreciated gesture. Again it’s very humid in Colombo.

Nice hotel for the money
The hotel itself is nice- nothing super fancy, but you don't need anything super fancy. It is not close to the airport AT ALL, so unless you are staying in Colombo, I would recommend another location. We were planning to use it as a base for day trips to Kandy and Bentota, but the drive time is outrageous, so we ended up staying the night elsewhere and keeping this hotel for the night we departed. Nice facility, huge bathroom and the shower was excellent! Minimal staff onsite, so if you need anything, it's hit or miss as to whether anyone will be at the desk. My room had a few cosmetic issues- hole in the bathroom door, but nothing that affected the quality of my stay. I would recommend this hotel if you plan to spend time in Colombo.

Ce fut notre premier arrêt à Colombo avant le début de notre séjour. Ce fut aussi le dernier car cette auberge /hôtel est simplement ce dont on a besoin. Tout à dispo autour (magasins et resto...). Un personnel ultra à l'écoute, wifi rapide et niveau logement la clim avec un bon lit et une douche extra. Propreté impeccable. Vraiment notre coup de coeur de la capitale. Nous recommandons vivement.

Great quiet place to stay
Quiet location, friendly staff, clean and spacious room with great shower. Walking distance from some cafes/restaurants but need a tuk tuk to get to the centre. Check out time was 12.00 but they let us leave our packs and hang around until we needed to leave at 18.00. Would definitely recommend.

This place is fine.
We had three days here. It had all we needed. Close to good cafes, sights, local buses and the sea. Delightful staff, particularly the young female reception worker on our first couple of days. Yes I had one big beef and that was with Expedia, not the hotel. We joined Expedia when comparing costs while in Sri Lanka on holiday and booked this hotel. Natural as we were in Sri Lanka we assumed the rupees quoted were Sri Lankan rupees. In fact they were Indian Rupees and I could see nothing that reasonably indicated this. Cost of hotel was therefore over twice what I expected.
