Very relaxing
We had a wonderful relaxing trip , the dock is amazing. The house is nice and comfy. The pool table could use an update , but everything else was great .

Wonderful Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Papa’s Paradise! The house was nice and stocked with all the necessities and clean! The owner was very responsive and kind! Would definitely stay here again for another family trip.

Great Vacation!
The house was immaculate and tastefully decorated. Everything you could possibly think of is provided; all you need to bring is food. Of course, you could catch your own from the dock. :-) We caught many fish from the beautiful, covered dock. As lovely as the house is, we spent most of our time enjoying nature from the dock or the screened porch. We certainly intend to go back to Papa's Paradise!!!

Great times in cozy house by the lake
My brother's family along with my husband and I had a great stay in this house. It was a great location close to Lake Blackshear where other family was camping. I just wish it wasnt so called so we could take advantage of the outdoor living more. Great screened porch to have morning coffee and dock to fish on if there was fish. Family even played soccer in the big backyard. Thank you Georgia!

Great Family Weekend
We enjoyed our stay. The house is perfect for a small family get together. The yards were also very well kept and we loved having the fenced in backyard. It gave our 2 year old grandson a place to play. It was very clean and just as described. We are wanting to return in the future.

44th Anniversary trip!
Papa’s Paradise was perfect for our anniversary stay. We had everything we needed and the place was maintained very well. I loved the swing by the water for coffee in the mornings and the boat dock was nice and very accommodating. We will be back! Thanks for answering all of our questions prior to our arrival. We will be back.

It was indeed all of what I wanted and needed in my stay. One - I wanted to rent a boat for two days, but there policy is, I had to turn the boat in by 5:30pm. Perhaps, if the marine could change that - that would or will have me coming back and it will also have my family coming there.

Paradise
My family and I have stayed here several times in the past and each time gets better than the last. There are SO many memories here for our family. Its perfectly cozy and extremly relaxing. We enjoyed four days of relaxation and the fishing, of course! Speaking to Ms. Georgia was like speaking with a friend you've known for years! Thank you for graciously opening up your home for others to enjoy. We cant wait to come back!

Wonderful little house on Lake Blackshear. It had everything we needed and then some. Great location and great dock to relax on. The owner was so sweet and easy to talk with. We would definitely stay again.

Quiet, spacious yard
We were visiting in January so couldn’t take full advantage of the location. Pros: new linens and towels, spacious front and back yard, screened in porch, local channels on Dish, quiet, secluded, good (we travel with a water tester!) and hot water. Cons: uncomfortable sleeping (the “bigger” bed technically qualifies as a ‘small queen’), outdated appliances (e.g., it took over an hour for the drip coffee maker to produce 8 cups), some minor maintenance is needed. The water seemed murky but other reviewers have noted swimming in this channel off of the lake. This might be a seasonal thing.

Wonderful, quiet location off the lake. Close to state park, restaurants and local grocery. Very well provisioned! We cooked and grilled daily without need for anything. The family enjoyed fishing, swimming and table tennis. Large screened porch and covered dock extend opportunity to be outdoors when weather doesn't exactly cooperate. Ms. Georgia provided check in details and was available for any questions or concerns. We would happily return.

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Papa’s Paradise. The house is clean and quaint. The yard is so plush and the deck is perfect for fellowship. Playing pool was definitely a highlight for all of us.

Family Time
Although I didn’t end up getting to go, my daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren were able to go and enjoy this beautiful lake house. We have rented several houses at Lake Blackshear, and my daughter said this was the best place yet. The owners were so kind. Highly recommended.

Enjoying the lake!
If anyone is looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay on the lake papa's place is it. We enjoyed are stay very much. Everything was spot on and property owners were great to work with. Hope to return in the future.

Nice lakeside getaway
A group of adult girlfriends wanted a quiet short getaway, this was perfect. Georgia was very nice and responsive. New bedding and fully stocked kitchen. We would have loved a little outdoor fire pit but just a personal preference. We would love to come again in the summer.

Relaxing Vacation
This home was just perfect for us to get away for a week and relax. We enjoyed the covered dock so much. Great place to just go sit, read, fish etc to disconnect from the world. The home was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the screened in porch as well. Loved the bird feeders hung just outside the big window in the back of the house. The owners were great to communicate with. We really enjoyed our week there.

Our Quarantine Getaway
Our girls needed a vacation during a summer of not being able to see friends or family. During a time of worrying about viruses, it was so nice to check into a super clean place and enjoy the lake without having to worry about social distancing or anything else. The kids (6 and 9) donned their life vests and loved swimming off the dock (8ft. deep) and we brought an inflatable boat for fishing. The front and back lawns are huge, but we didn't get to utilize them, since we spent all of our time on the lake or under the fans on the boat dock. Enjoyed our stay. Thanks for the respite.

Peaceful relaxation! Papa paradise definitely lived up to our expectations. Clean and inviting.
It was so easy reserving papa paradise and the owner was exceptional in making sure we had the check in information in a timely manner. Everything was as described and very comfortable I might add. Will definitely be visiting again soon. God bless!!

Fun filled family weekend 💗
We certainly enjoyed our weekend getaway to Papas Paradise! From the very first moment we arrived we felt the warmth of love and memories that have made and shared here. This beautiful home was so very clean and well stocked. The kids certainly enjoyed the ping-pong/pool table inside. Our family enjoyed the beautiful boat dock from swimming and jumping in to fishing, hanging out and relaxing. Mrs. Barber made our trip extra special! July 4th decorations were all around the dock and inside the home. Mr & Mrs Barber are awesome people! My family and I cannot wait to plan another trip to Papas Paradise! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Lovely Lake Cottage
The accommodations were perfect for our stay. We were able to have our granddaughters over several times while we were there. The views of the lake from the family room were wonderful and relaxing. Too cold to swim, but we could look at the lake all day. Kitchen was well stocked; nice dining area; ping pong for the kids. Georgia was easy to reach. Only small complaint was no wi/fi, which gave us more time to relax and not be infrom of our electronics.

Perfect location! House had everything we needed!
Our group of friends stayed here celebrating our friend's engagement. Perfect location! We were only a 10-minute drive from the Cypress Grill and a couple of minutes from the big water by boat. The house had everything we needed for our weekend. We spent most of our time on the dock or swimming by it and enjoyed every minute of it!
