Beautiful apartment stay with lovely views
Lovely property with great views of Calais and Dunkirk across the channel from the front room,bedroom and patio.Greeted by Tim who gave us a tour of the property and shared his local knowledge.The apartment overall was cosy,spacious and comfortable,extremely clean and well equipped in every room.Good selection of dvds for a rainy day or night in.Greeted everyday by a Robin on the patio and it was lovely to have a drink out there on a sunny afternoon day with the view.Able to walk to Dover and deal over the cliffs and many historic towns within 30 minutes drive.Great pub on the beach with a restaurant and also in the village.Have already recommended this to friends and will be sure to visit again

A truly great experience.
We were met by the very friendly and delightful proud owner, Jennifer. She showed us around and invited us to just relax and enjoy our stay. The views over the Channel are inspiring, as is the bay itself. There are many coastal walks and a terrific pub on the beach. The property itself is first class, comfortable lounge, spacious kitchen and roomy bedroom. The patio was hard to leave even when it got cold. This is a quality property looked after by people who care about it. Highly recommend.

Perfect Dover Coast Escape
Everything about Calais View is perfect. The view is breathtaking from the terrace and the bedroom. The apartment is attractively furnished and full of thoughtful touches, and Jenny could not be nicer. If you want to cook, the kitchen is well stocked.

Beautiful apartment
Stunning apartment, beautifully decorated and clean throughout and the views are just amazing. Didn't want to go home - could have definitely stayed for longer. The apartment has everything you need and more - the owners have obviously put a lot of thought into making this a home from home and as comfortable as possible for guests. The owners were so friendly, provided lots of local information and the welcome pack was very much appreciated - a really nice touch.

Breathtaking views and experience!
What a lovely pastoral sea view experience we had! The house itself is lovely with emphasis on the smallest details - so homely and cosy :) Jenny and Tim were so kind, warm and helpful. The views from the bedroom and the balcony is priceless. On clear days, you can actually see some French land :) We hope to come back again. Highly recommended!

Return Visit
Calais View is one of the nicest holiday rentals that we have ever stayed in and we were delighted to make a return visit last week. The property is in a great location and the views are spectacular, it is stylish and comfortable with high quality fixtures and fittings, lots of thoughtful touches and every home comfort. Jenny and Tim are excellent hosts; friendly, helpful and approachable but never obtrusive. Highly recommended.

A fantastic place, everything you could want and more. Superb stay
Calais View was absolutely perfect. From the moment we booked Jenny and Tim were the perfect hosts, the apartment is superbly located, very tastefully decorated and is immaculate - really cannot recommend it highly enough. The attention to detail on everything from pre-arrival info to new changes that have had to be brought in due to Covid is just incredible. We already can't wait to return!

A break from reality
We decided to take a working break away and base ourselves at the Calais View apartment for a week. What a great place, we took cliff walks, time on the beach, dinners in and out and just sitting back and admiring the view. It was perfect. One of the best locations possible and a very high quality apartment. Jenny and Tim were very good hosts and took extra care to make sure everything was perfect. The internet works very well and easily supported our constant video calls and email demands. We’ll be back as soon as we can!

Most special holiday home on the south coast
What a gem we found in Calais View we are already talking about going back. Immediately we felt at home and relaxed. Jenny & Tim the owners really have thought of everything from those little cooking extras, a lovely welcome pack to those extra special bathroom products so you don't have to worry about anything. We arrived late due to car trouble but Tim still went through everything with us so we felt at home straight away and really welcome. Even though it was February we had a couple of sunny mornings sat on the terrace watching the world (on ferries!) go by and we also had the fun of a couple of storms. Go right and you can walk West to Dover and sit as we did watching the sun go down and the port in action and go left and you get to the lovely Deal (we recommend Wellington's for an all day breakfast). Just a wonderful week away all in all, we are coming back most definitely. Lying in bed listening to the sea and watching the sunrise we already miss, and a drink watching the waves down at The Coastguard pub on the beach.

Simply stunning accommodation in an excellent location over looking St Margarets Bay.
This beautifully decorated cottage is the best accommodation we have stayed in whilst travelling around Europe and the UK for eight months. The attention to detail is beyond words and Jenny and Tim are wonderful hosts who have thought of everything to make your stay first class. Einfach traumhaft

Eine tolle Ferienwohnung und sehr nette Vermieter.
Super Aussicht und eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft. Kann man rundum empfehlen. Irgendwann kommen wir noch einmal dorthin. Es fehlte uns an nichts und das Wetter hat auch meistens mitgespielt. Allerdings ist ein Auto unverzichtbar. Unvergessen bleibt auch die nächtliche Aussicht auf den Ärmelkanal, wenn die Schiffe toll erleuchtet sind - für uns - einmalig!!!

Lovely apartment with stunning views
We had a most relaxing break in this beautiful apartment. It has the best views we’ve ever had from self catering accommodation in Britain and is without doubt the most luxurious, comfortable and well appointed we’ve ever stayed in. Everything we could have needed and more was provided and Jenny and Tim were so kind. The welcome pack was lovely and such a kind touch. We’d love to return one day, am missing that morning cup of tea in bed looking at the beautiful sea view! Thank you for everything, Jenny and Tim!

Jenny and Tim are gems. They appointed this flat impeccably. Everything you may want or need including a very generous welcome package. Lots to do in the area and we took full advantage. Take short hike to the top of the white cliffs for some incredible views. We’ll be back.

A beautifully decorated, tastefully furnished property. Excellently situated,overlooking the bay.
We were greeted, warmly, by the host, Jenny as we arrived. She showed us around her lovely property, explaining how things worked and a little about the area. We loved everything about the property. All the furniturings were high quality and there was everything you could wish for to make your stay enjoyiable. There was a very welcome basket of goodies awaiting us in the kitchen, including wine, bread and biscuits, along with lots of other thoughtful additions, such as binoculars, dvds and a cosy blanket in the living room. We went on a couple of bracing walks following the Saxon Shore path along the cliff tops, stopping for tea and cake in the lighthouse tea shop. Had a very nice meal in St Margaret’s village and one at the Smugglars pub. Look forward to revisiting the property and area again.

The most beautiful place!

Calais View Cottage was excellent
I am single, 70, love the sea and wanted to get away from London for a few nights early in the new year. Calais View Cottage was excellent. The views from the apartment are fabulous. Because everything about the apartment is so good I hesitate to point out that there is a steep and narrow path leading to the apartment and a steep and narrow staircase to the bedroom and bathroom.

A delightful apartment by the sea.
Tim and Jenny are generous and thoughtful hosts who make their guests feel welcome. The apartment has a relaxing aesthetic and beautiful views of The Channel from the windows. We loved looking through the sea mist at the ships lights at night from our bedroom and the sound of the waves lapping the shore each morning. A short walk down the road takes you to a quaint museum and tea house. Great service, delicious home made food and reasonable prices made this a daily event for us. The history of the area is fascinating and well documented at the museum. If you walk a bit further past the museum and tea room to the lighthouse, you can take in the spectacular views of the White Cliffs. (I sang the song as we walked - Vera Lynne eat your heart out!) A trip to Canterbury is worth the twenty minute drive as is the drive to the Michellan star restaurant at Seasalter. This accomodation is great value and if we're ever in the area of St Margaret's Bay again it would be our choice of accomodation. A great stay for those interested in history, ship spotting, walks along sea cliffs and relaxation.

Es war die wirklich schönste und zauberhafteste Ferienwohnung, die wir je hatten. sehr freundlich !!
Die Ferienwohnung ist ein Traum. Es fehlt an nichts und man bemerkt die liebevolle Gestaltung. Die Vermieter sind super nett und außerordentlich freundlich. Der Blick und die Lage sind atemberaubend - wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen. Eine Reise lohnt sich dorthin auf jeden Fall.

Simply the best!
After staying in countless self-catering accommodations in many different parts of the world over a number of years, we believe that Calais View ranks as the best ever. The location overlooking the English Channel toward France is simply stunning, providing an ever changing seascape. The apartment interior is thoughtfully decorated to a high standard and all the many amenities are designed for comfort as well as efficiency. Jenny and Tim are extremely thoughtful hosts who are committed to making visitors feel at home in a beautiful part of the world where they have been longtime residents. Immaculate property, excellent hosts, breathtaking views.
This property is a real home from home, it is beautifully furnished and very well appointed with lots of thoughtful extra touches which make it a really comfortable place to stay. The hosts, Jenny and Tim, are very friendly and helpful. The location is stunning with spectacular views of the English Channel and the White Cliffs of Dover from the patio, sitting room and bedroom. There are several pubs, restaurants, cafes and a convenience store within five to twenty minutes walking distance and there are also lots of places to eat in the surrounding area and Dover or Deal town centres which are both a short drive away.

Besser geht nicht
Nach einem herzlichen Empfang, sind wir durch die unglaublich saubere Wohnung geführt worden (so hygienisch sauber haben wir eine Ferienwohnung noch nie erlebt). Jenny hat uns alles Nötige ausführlich erklärt und hat dabei auf unsere mageren Englischkenntnisse Rücksicht genommen. Wir haben uns sofort wie zuhause gefühlt - wie auf Besuch bei der Familie, nur ohne das anstrengende Drumherum. Jenny und Tim waren nie aufdringlich, aber stets hilfsbereit. Ihre Ausflugstipps haben wir gerne angenommen. Eine Wohnung für diejenigen, die Abschalten und die Ruhe geniessen wollen. Eine Küche die nichts vermissen lässt. Besonders haben wir uns über das grosszügige "Willkommenspacket" gefreut (sogar meine Lieblingscookies und eine Flasche guter Wein waren dabei). Wir hätten damit gut das Wochenende und länger überleben können, aber da die Ladenöffnungszeiten in Dover 8:00-20.00 und am Sonntag 10:00-16:00 sind, kann nach Lust und Laune geshoppt werden. Im übrigen haben die beiden Gastgeber auch alles in einem Buch zusammengefasst, was es an Informationen braucht - sie haben wirklich an alles gedacht und es ist ganz angenehm nochmals nachlesen zu können, was man glaubt verstanden zuhaben. Genial ist natürlich, dass Seife, Shampoo, etc.in Küche und Bad, in ausreichender Menge zur Verfügung steht. Für Reisende nur mit Handgepäck praktisch. Eingerichtet ist alles sehr geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail - schade, war das Wetter so toll - ich wäre auch gerne mehr "daheim" geblieben. Obwohl alles etwas kleiner ist, als auf den Bildern vermuten lässt, ist die Grösse ausreichend und sehr gemütlich. Mein Favorit ist jedoch das Schlafzimmer. Der unglaubliche Blick aufs Meer beim aufwachen, hätte ich am liebsten mitgenommen. Gerne kommen wir wieder und wieder und ...

Traumhafte Unterkunft
Wirklich sehr schön mit Meerblick gelegen. Zu Fuß ist man in wenigen Minuten am Meer. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Geschirr, Gläser, Besteck sind in großer Anzahl vorhanden. Sehr geschmackvoll mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet!!!! Es war die schönste und sauberste Unterkunft, die wir bisher hatten. Nur zu empfehlen! Vielen Dank noch einmal an die netten Vermieter!!! Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub für uns.

Our birthday retreat
What a charming place to stay. A sympathetic conversation in touch with the surrounding culture and heritage, decorated and kept at a very high standard. We were made very welcome at Calais View especially in light of my partners birthday. If you appreciate quality and style it will not be wasted on you. The hosts are accommodating and welcoming. I would highly recommend this property as a weekend stay or longer, it is very comfortable. We are returning soon.....

Perfect equipped apartment and good service
Well located apartment with luxurious furniture, nice equipment and a wonderful view at the sea. There was a good service and helpfulness in advance and throughout the whole week with lots of kind advice and many tips. The location is quiet with lots of opportunities to explore the british countryside by foot or visit cities like cantebrury by car. All in all the accomodation leaves nothing to be desired!

Best stay ever!
Calais View Garden is the perfect stay for two. The sea view from the patio and the bedroom is stunning, the equipmpent of the apartment is perfect and the rooms are furnished exclusively. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. This stay leaves nothing to be desired.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dieser hervorragend eingerichteten, sehr gemütlichen Wohnung. Die Einrichtung und auch die Ausstattung ließen keine Wünsche offen. Man kann von hier aus tolle Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung machen. Trotzdem wohnt man sehr ruhig mit einem wunderschönen Blick von der Höhe der Klippen aus auf den Ärmelkanal.

A high end luxury apartment within a really attractive Victorian villa with beautiful sea views.
The owners were friendly and attentive. The welcome pack was extremely generous, including a lovely bottle of wine. The fixtures and fittings were of a high standard making the whole apartment really comfortable. The Pateo was a fantastic area to sit and enjoy the wonderful views.
