A mess

This group was bizarre from the beginning. Let's start with we do not heat the ponds. Marijuana boxes found by pool house. Group called the f.d. and when chief asked them to go to hospital to get tested, everyone refused. Salt pool, at 83 degrees + smoking marihuana and drinking alcohol, not a great call. I was during all this event. not to recommend this group to any renter.

Lovely home
I recommend staying for more than 2 nights. Our time was too short to enjoy the property fully and do everything available! It was a very nice place for a group of adults. I'd never bring kids though - too many nice decorations, breakable things, and items everywhere. Put together but cluttered might be a way to describe? The property was beautiful, the house was lovely and Iveth was great! She offered us a discount when she wasn't sure the attic AC would hold out in the summer (it did just fine it was a relatively cool weekend). I gave 4 stars because I had hoped it would be cleaner (really dusty and a bit greasy in places) and I would have hoped for some better information in the property description. For example, there is a grill (which I asked about), but it is only big enough for 4 burgers and we were cooking for 16. There was a broken oven. There's no drinking glasses unless you want to use the hand wash only dishes or coffee mugs. The dining table is like... Two tall benches put together with a large gap down the center which made playing games really hard and eating awkward at times. Chairs were rickety and really old. None of this was bad, the place was lovely, we just would have planned differently had we known. (And would have expected it to be a bit more clean).

Don’t overlook the poor reviews!
Our large family was looking for a home within 2 hours of us to gather for a weekend to celebrate Christmas. We knew it would be a bit harder because we were wanting to stay close to home. We found this one, and it appeared to check all the boxes, and it had an indoor pool which was fantastic. Based off the pool, size of home, and pictures of the home we agreed the price was fair. Prior to booking we read all the reviews, and saw a few negative ones, and assumed that these were one offs. However, after arriving, our group also agreed. The owner is nice, and very good at communicating. The pool was the main attraction. It’s great that it’s indoor, and it goes from 3ft to 8ft. However, it was about 1.5 to 2ft lower than it should be due to lack of rain. We had take off the cover and put it back on after each use. There were hoses strung to the pool, an older stainless milk container and other items out. These should have removed because they were not in use by owner or guest. The home itself was outdated. It’s apparent that the pictures were taken some time ago, and taken to make the home look better than its current condition. The master bedroom does have a toilet, but it is in an old closet. The large oven in kitchen did not work, and seems to have not been working for some time due to previous reviews. The upstairs loft has a spiral staircase that has screws sticking out from the wood, and had clearly been thrown together. We also read previous reviews regarding no key code given during check in, and this appears to be a repetitive problem stating batteries were low. We were able to lock the door from the inside at night, but left it unlocked when leaving for day. We did have issues with buzzing light switches, poor water pressure, water leaking from sink in basement into cabinet drawer, and lack of cold water in home for drinks or hot water for showers. The home itself was very cluttered, outdated, and when in person you’re able to see that most of the home “improvements” have been done by someone who most likely is not experienced in home repair and remodel, and is just watching YouTube tutorials. You are also charged a higher cleaning fee, but I would also agree with a previous review and have to question if the cleaning fee is passed on to a professional. We have stayed in homes for larger families and have no issue with cost but we would agree that this was one is overpriced.

Group left all their trash on the kitchen floor, didn't remove used linens as requested, didn't read house rules nor posted listing details apparently, very dissapointing guests.

Thanksgiving Weekend
We stayed Thanksgiving and through the weekend. Our only hitch was the door lock wasn't working when we arrived. It was Thanksgiving dinner time and I hated to have to bother anyone, but it is what it is. After that, it was smooth sailing. Having so many ovens was awesome for heating up dinner. We should have brought our own kitchen supplies as we had trouble finding certain items, but that's something we will know to do in the future. We improvised, not a big deal, but something a future visitor should plan for. I would say this is something to do for any VRBO where you know you need certain items.

Great host and location!
Iveth's property was perfect for my family during our wedding and the few days leading to it. It comfortably accommodated everyone and was a great place to relax. Iveth was also a great host and did a wonderful job coordinating our stay.

The pictures do make the property look inviting. For a big family with children, the rooms were very small and no open space. It was not as relaxing of a place as it felt that there were many demands from owner once we had access. We felt somewhat on edge and "unwanted" in the house. The property is a bit overrun (no obnoxious weed/tree maintenance) with trees so limited breeze and buggy (outside). I was surprised that there were no kitchen towels and limited supplies for a stocked kitchen,. etc. Host does say -enough supplies to get started--but we were dismayed by the limits. We did ask for skillets/pans and host brought them. For our family, the home was very dark and had very limited lighting. Website says big oven doesn't work, and it still doesn't. Not sure why it hasn't been fixed?? Host did say past renters damaged some property, so maybe that attributes to the poorer quality we found compared to other places we've have stayed with VRBO. Host did provide soccer ball for volleyball and offered to let us join her for star/planet gazing through telescope --??phone service being what is was, we did not have the fastest/best communication. The pool is nice, but you should take your own towels .

Beautiful!
Iveth was wonderful! Very sweet and answered all our questions promptly before, during and after our stay. This property and home are beautiful! We stayed here for my daughter’s bachelorette weekend and we had more than enough room for us to spread out and be very comfortable. We all had an amazing time! Would definitely stay here again! Property Really Needs Updating
Beautiful location but I wish I would have more carefully read previous reviews that mentioned the property being tired and needing to be updated. This property was probably very nice when the photos were originally taken but much time has passed since then as evidenced by the hammock photo that looks so inviting but in reality has a 3 foot tall pine tree now growing into it. The 7th bedroom is actually an open loft with an air conditioner that doesn't work causing the temperature in that room to be too hot to be useable. Had there been another 7 bedroom property nearby we would have moved. Instead, we decided to stay which we really regretted when the Viking refrigerator's alarm (notifying us that the refrigerator wasn't cooling) started going off every 20-40 minutes, beginning Sunday morning at 12:30am. This is the first time that I've ever left a negative review but our entire group agreed that the property is way overpriced for the condition that it is in.

Our annual family reunion was absolutely amazing.
Iveth was a wonderful hostess, quick to respond to our inquiries and questions. The setting is exactly as described. We were able to enjoy nature, go walk trails, enjoy the pond as well as the pool! The young kids basically lived in the pool. So much fun!! We would highly recommend others to visit! Thanks Iveth!

Living it up in the country
We had a great time! 19 ppl, 9 children ages 9-1. We had enough space. The living area is spacious, plus the movie screen downstairs was a hit every night. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 bathrooms, and 3 bedrooms downstairs, one bathroom. 2 bathrooms are in the pool house. The beds are all comfy!! We did not use any sofa beds, or the attic room (it was too hot) Iveth offered the pool house room but we really didn’t need the space. One oven is not working but that wasn’t a problem. There were no frying pans, but to be fair, we didn’t complain as we had 2 of our own to use. There’s a huge refrigerator. We wished there was an ice machine….we just made ice runs daily. The pool was the big hit and it was honestly one of the highlights. We swam constantly with 9 littles!! There are plenty of outdoor spaces to hang out and 2 ponds. They’re not large but big enough to paddle around in or fish. (We didn’t keep the fish). Iveth is so easy to work with and very responsive. She helped us with whatever we needed right away. There is a charcoal grill but we wished we had brought our big griddle…as we have a lot to feed! There is a griddle there but no plate on top and you need your own propane. So we just used the charcoal grills and smoker. The inside of the house needs a little refresh, things are wearing out, but again, that didn’t bother us. The whole property is absolutely beautiful. It’s remote and the night sounds are amazing. The creek is dried up unfortunately. There’s a BIG fire pit that we used too- even though it was sooo hot outside…it was magical. S’mores! Yum! And the stars are amazing… Bring your bug spray! It’s country, you’ll see all sorts of critters….and bugs. Amazing place, and peaceful.

Our wonderful family getaway!
The grounds were beautiful. The kids (5-10) loved fishing and swimming and seeing the wildlife on the hikes. The beds were comfortable, the living area very spacious for all of us (12 total). I personally loved the recycling plan, as it created many valuable family discussions. We brought garbage bags, as we still needed some way to dispose of trash. The pool is fed by rainwater, so it was not crystal clear like a chlorine pool, fyi. We spent most of our time in the water, every day, with all young swimmers improving skills over the week. Entry/exit to water was a bit difficult for older swimmers. Remember to pack beach towels, as none were provided. Iveth was very available and helpful. All in all, a lovely week!

Perfect environment for a women's getaway
We hosted 8 professional women for a girls getaway. The environment was absolutely perfect! The kitchen was welcoming and spacious, the dining area was beautiful, and the back patio was comfy enough for us to all sit out there comfortable. I only wish we had a longer stay because I feel like we could have kept discovering cool little things on the property. The pool house was super nice. Not only the awesome and refreshing pool, but also the gorgeous updated bathroom. I brought a lot of my own dishware and glassware because I didn't want to risk the owners set being too "rustic" for my event, but I really didn't need to. She had plenty of gorgeous upscale looking glassware, silverware, plates, salad plates, etc. I can only speak to my bed, but it was extremely comfortable:). All around a great pick for our group!

Great location. Peaceful and relaxing.
The location was great. My daughter started attending college in Missouri and we planned a family Thanksgiving. Wish we would have explored the property more, but visited during chilly weather. The owner was great and very respective. We are not use to sorting trash for recycling. We could have done a better job trying to understand this process but it is excellent the owners do recycle. The family spent a lot of laughs and good times this weekend. We will cherish our experience for years to come.

I do not think Carmen and her family read our house rules, I speak spanish and gave them a tour explaining including that we recycle and the location for the trash...our beautiful house as she stated was left with candy wrappers on the floors inside and outside the house, food crumbs, dirty pots, a locked bedroom, the trash inside the house, linens on beds, very disappointing.

Beautiful Getaway!
This property is a perfect getaway! With a lake and pool house, our kids filled their days fishing and swimming. The scenery is beautiful and was a perfect backdrop for reading on the balcony or sitting by the bonfire. Although very remote, we were just 10 minutes from a grocery store. We loved the personal touch of the owner meeting us at check-in to give us a tour and answer any questions. Highly recommend!

Love this place!
Iveth’s property was PERFECT for my family’s little getaway. We had 11 adults and 2 kiddos and there was more than enough room for all of us to be together, yet still have our own space when needed. We traveled from four different states and every single one of us left with unforgettable memories. Iveth’s place is very big but feels very homey and comfortable. We all loved the pool house and the quietness of being off the grid. Iveth had wonderful communication from the time of booking and did an excellent job of answering any questions we had along the way during our stay. We all agreed we will be back. The property itself is beautiful, and the owner is fabulous! 10/10 recommend!

Amazing place and owners!
Place was amazing! Couldn't have asked for a better place. Rented this one for the weekend for my buddies bachelor party and everyone was amazed at the place. There's a lot of activities just at the house and never got bored. The owners were also awesome people and very easy to communicate with. Overall an amazing experience!

Extended Family Gathering
Iveth was great to work with, always replying to our questions in a timely manner and helping us out when needed. Property was great for those days when rain moved in, as plenty of indoor games are available and the indoor pool was a nice feature as well. Overall a great property though make sure you understand it is meant to be secluded as it is about 15-20 minutes to the nearest town, but that was what we were looking for was sometime away from “the noise”. Would recommend if looking for a nice quiet getaway.

Highly recommend great location
Our extended family (age range infants thru mid 80s) enjoyed our long weekend stay. The house is smaller than we expected yet the layout and flow are amazing and we never felt short of space. The pool was a hit as were the game room, movies, pond, playground and numerous decks. The home has everything we needed and more. We initially felt a bit odd about staying in the owners home while she was present but she made it very comfortable and we need not have worried. I highly recommend this home

Such a fun place!
This place was awesome!! It thoroughly entertained all 13 kiddos and 4 adults that were with us! The pool was amazing, the kiddos loved the play area, the teens loved the pond-paddle boats, they all enjoyed hiking. The house was spread out enough that we didn’t feel cramped but close enough that we could really enjoy our time together. The owner was amazing at responding to us, and was very friendly. Highly recommend!

Good winter retreat

Rustic Getaway
Close enough to make it convenient, far enough to be remote. The accommodations were all we asked for, enough room to fit 4 families of parents, children and 7 grand children. Plenty of room to feel 'space' yet, all in one place. All guest should be prepared for a rustic experience. Due to the ecofriendly power and fuel, the house will feel cool in the winter, requiring extra layers - something we were not expecting for my 80 year old parents, who are accustomed to much warmer setting. The pool house was a hit, the bedroom was very cozy, but the shower was not hot. We adjusted for the experience and the hosts were very accommodating. Recycling was another lesson. Though recycling and composting was encouraged, we discovered that they only had provisions for two trash bags, the hosts graciously provided more upon request, it should be expected however that if you anticipate paper goods to save on dishwashing, you should bring your own bags.

This place has bamboo!! It’s awesome!
Greatly enjoyed our stay, everything was great! Love the bamboo, they even had bamboo products, we bought robes, they are the softest ever, they had antibacterial soap, and socks even bamboo underwear. Will be back for sure!

Magnificent Property
This is the nicest place I have stay. It is even better than places I stay for 2 or 3 times the price. Beautiful home and surroundings. Early one morning I was drinking coffee and looking out the window and a deer came walking by to one of the ponds - It was cool! Highly recommend this place. Also, the owner was very quick to response to my questions.

A wonderful place in every respect! I will definitely be back. The accommodations are so comfortable and perfectly maintained. An elegant country retreat for any size group. Iveth is a fabulous and responsive host. A great experience.

Awesome place!
Such a wonderful host and the property was incredible. So many options, as cold as it was still took paddle boat out on pond, played volleyball, and spent hours in the zen garden enjoying peace with Buddha!

Women's group getaway
Property is beautiful. Iveth is very friendly and attentive host. I was impressed for this house to be off grid ....22 women showers stayed hot...kitchen facilities were state of the art....definitely will book again!

Mom and Kids Getaway
Our stay was with 4 moms and 11 kids (ages 5-14) for 2 nights. There was so much to do. The kids loved playing pool. Kayaking, fishing, walking around the land, swimming in the pool, etc. Maria, who helps manage the house is awesome! We would all go back and stay again.

Great property with lots of room for larger parties. Loved the pool and outdoor areas.
Loved most of the things about the property. It was unfortunate that a number of things weren't working that we weren't told about until arriving to the property. The main oven upstairs and the entire kitchen in the basement weren't working. Luckily there was a smaller side oven in the main kitchen and the grill outside so we were able to make due with our meal plans. Other than that everything was great about the property and would definitely recommend to larger groups. The indoor pool area is especially nice. Owner was also very easy to get a hold of and work with before, during, and after the stay.
