So much potential but not quite delivered. This hotel has a lovely location and feel.
First problem could be the result of booking through expedia. We booked a quadruple room with a double and two singles. When we arrived they said they were expecting just two adults so the room was only equiped to sleep 3. This was fixed quickly but I was clear when i booked what i required.
The room looked much bigger on the photos on Expedia.
Because of covid 19 the breakfast needs booking the day before with all items shown on a sheet of paper. You write the order on the back. Our order got confused, because of my writing, other notes not written by me, etc. It was all corrected at the time, but i didnt appreciate having my order and the descrepencies of the order system discussed openly in the breakfast room. A mistake happened, just correct it and move on.........
7.30 sunday morning a generator starts belting out a loud noise. Work going on on some new buildings. Come on!!!!! This shouldnt be a surprise to guests.
My feeling, the hotel owners have a lovely hotel and are trying to build a nice family business but they are focussed on the new buildings and havent quite grasped the best way to cope with covid19 requirements.
Wouldnt take much to improve!
