L'Hotel è praticamente su Upper Connolly, vicinissimo al fiume e a Temple Bar, ben collegato dai mezzi. Purtroppo è a ridosso di Parnell Street che non è una bella zona e si vede subito che è abbastanza degradata. Perfino il tassista che ci ha portato dall'aeroporto ci ha consigliato di non recarci nella zona da Parnell in su (verso nord). All'arrivo ci è stata assegnata una stanza minuscola, dove si faceva fatica a muoversi tra letto, pareti e bagagli. Il bagno era largo poco più del water (per orinare mi dovevo incastrare tra il water e il lavandino alle mie spalle), e il letto matrimoniale era piccolissimo, appena qualche centimetro in più di un letto a una piazza e mezza. Solo una coppia magrissima ci può stare decentemente. Abbiamo chiesto di cambiare la stanza, e ci è stata cambiata la seconda notte con una più grande, ma sempre col letto piccolo (nonostante avessi chiesto un upgrade anche a pagamento, se necessario, specificando la necessità di un letto più grande). I teli da doccia sono appena più grandi di un normale asciugamano e il sapone liquido inchiavardato a muro. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Colazione cara (12 euro a persona) ma in linea ormai con tutti gli hotel e molto buona, pagata separatamente solo due mattine. Esattamente sotto l'hotel c'è un grosso pub e la notte tra venerdì e sabato gli schiamazzi si sentivano fino al nostro settimo piano, anche se non assordanti. In sintesi un hotel discreto, sicuramente troppo caro per le sue caratteristiche.

Overbooking
Arrivati verso le 19 e ci comunicano un overbooking. (Non capisco come possa accadere nel momento in cui danno disponibilità, evidentemente hanno accontentato qualcuno a nostro discapito). Ci hanno dato una camera di fortuna, per una notte, nei sotterranei. Ovviamente non ci hanno fatto pagare la notte, ma era veramente terribile. Soffitto bassissimo, senza finestre, umida e puzzolente… purtroppo abbiamo cercato un’altra sistemazione ma nessuna disponibilità era presente.

Without a refurbishment this is barely a 2** hotel
I've been given the special needs room without saying a word. I didn't want to ask for a change and kept it. There was a tiny windows that gives on the inside of the builiding. No sun lights then. Illumination of the room was very limited as well. Almost impossible to shave. Furniture are rundown. Bed is cosy (the only positive thing). The hotel needs a massive refurbishment.

La camera è molto piccola,spartana, non corrisponde alla descrizione di Expedia, stanza che si affaccia su un vuoto d ‘aria , il bagno minuscolo senza confort, gli asciugamani molto piccoli,mi sembrava di essere dentro la cabina di una nave, in ultimo prezzo eccessivo per la qualità della nostra stanza due notti € 414,00.

Not the right place for relaxing
I spent 2 nights in this hotel. The building is in the upper side of city center and beside a big pub which is running until 2 am. I am not complaining about the position of teh hotel but on the absence of soundproof windows. Moreover one night a group of people began shouting and slamming doors on the corridor just beside my room; I called the security and apparantly they stopped but the they would only move all together to a room a began again. One more thing: the bedroom is not properly cleaned. As a lifelong ashmatic I feel immediately if the room is clean or not. You could see dust on the surfaces in backlight. Service and hall are good. Resuming my review it's not worth the price you pay (150 euros/night) and it's not the right place for relaxing (especially if you are on a business trip). I would like to suggest the managment to improve 2 things: soundproof windows and security controls on the floors.

La struttura si presenta bene e in una posizione strategica, a due passi dal centro. Purtroppo non ho molto apprezzato il fatto che l'hotel si affacci ad una discoteca, che ha reso quasi del tutto impossibile dormire durante il nostro soggiorno.

Un albergo pulito con personale gentile. La camera spaziosa con il necessario per fare una veloce colazione Comodo per i trasporti e vicino al luogo di ritrovo per le escursioni organizzate. Il centro si raggiunge con una bella e piacevole passeggiata. Consigliato!

Struttura centralissima, a circa 20 minuti a piedi dalle attrazioni di Dublino più lontane e davvero a due passi invece da tutte le più centrali, compresi ristoranti, pub, negozi, e musei. A due minuti a piedi, appena si torna sulla centrale O'Connell Street, ci sono poi le fermate di tutti i bus più utili (da e per l'aeroporto, più bus turistici come il Big Bus). L'hotel è pulito e nonostante la posizione centralissima ed il pub direttamente accanto alla porta le stanze sono silenziose. Pulizia eccellente, misure anticovid rispettate alla lettera.

Buon hotel a Dublino
L'hotel si trova in una posizione comoda, nella centralissima O'Connelly Street. Il vantaggio è che il bus 747 che collega Dublino all'aeroporto ha una fermata proprio davanti all'hotel. La colazione, a pagamento, è ottima. Peccato che la camera che ci è stata data, a scapito di quelle rappresentate in foto, era molto piccola, con un letto più piccolo di un matrimoniale.Personale cortese e disponibile.

Posizione perfetta per visitare Dublino. Si possono raggiungere a piedi tutte le principali attrazioni turistiche. Fermata dell’Airlink per l’aeroporto proprio davanti all’hotel. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. La struttura dovrebbe investire qualcosa per rinnovare alcuni arredi. Personale efficiente e gentile.

No parking. Was told we had to park down the road at a third party parking lot and was told if we bring the ticket back we will get a discount. Did that and the staff said no discount because you need to stay at QParking for the discount. Also on Expedia states a Laundry but there wasn’t. Bed was hard and room was so small.

Dingy room, disfunctional shower and dirty bathroom. It’s in a dreadful area, parked across the street was a soup kitchen and about 50 down and outs queuing for food and locals screaming at them. The carpark is a distance away from the hotel and I wouldn’t want anyone I cared about walking to the hotel from there, day or night. I will NEVER go back and couldn’t wait to leave.

Everything was great but the room was extremely small. However, this is the second stay here and it has a lot of positive attributes especially a central location for touring Dublin.

It’s was quite modern only reason it wasn’t a 5 star visit as the gym was pretty small and there wasn’t a pool or a smart tv just little something to kill sometime when you’re back at the hotel for a few hours

Excellent stay
We stayed in the small double room which was perfect for 2 days. The bed was comfy with extra pillows. There was a desk/wardrobe/shelves with enough space to hang up clothes for a couple of days. Safe was easy to use. Hairdryer in the drawer and kettle with tea and coffee. Bathroom was clean. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Good location for walking to Temple Bar and Grafton Street and trams / bus stops outside hotel.

Friendly staff, nice rooms, location perfect for both shopping and dining/drinking. Walking distance to all you need in Dublin. Not our first stay at the Academy Plaza and not our last:)
