Hotel a Fancy Gap

“Motel was under renovation, so a bit messy. There is an ice machine, but did not use any of the amenities. Hotel seems to good value for what we paid.”

“Place is clean and just far enough off the highway to reduce any noise from the highway room was excellant and everything was clean and well pt together the only issue is one of the two elevators is down for repair hopefully will be repaired before we return in a couple of weeks”

“AC was completely turned off so it was 83 degrees when we walked into our room at nearly 10pm after driving all afternoon. Good news is that the AC did cool down the room within a few hours but it was a rough start to get to sleep. Bathroom seemed very clean, but there was some food debris on the floor in the room and a bit of hair on the sheets. Pillows were quite flat. We didn’t use any amenities as we just slept and left in the morning as we were passing through so can’t speak to that. Seemed...

“My room had all the important requirements, clean sheets, bathroom, and floors. Shower had hot water and great water pressure. The owner was kind enough to allow me keep my flowers outside on the sidewalk in front of my room. Nice and friendly old style motor lodge that were so prominent in my youth in the 60’s and 70’s. ”

“The breakfast was good and items that were almost gone were replenished in a timely matter. Our room was clean and quiet.”

“Front desk was super friendly, room was clean, needs were comfortable. Everything we could ask for on our road trip.”

“Under renovation which it needs. Feels old and dated. Fitness center being worked on so could not use. Pool and hot tub were open but they need to go in and scrub all the old work down stains and make fresh”

“Wonderful area, lots to do & see. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. So very quiet up there, large porch, lots of rocking chairs & a swing. They had a spacious interior(living room & separate dining room), library with puzzles & games. Good Coffee & tea Excellent food! Staff was personable but were careful to give you space. Can't wait to go back!”

“The Surry in is a nice place to stay overnight on our trips from PA to Florida. Everything is older but clean and everything worked.”

“This is an awesome place to stay! We especially liked the automatic lights on the front porch, it's nice if you arrive after dark. The hosts were wonderful and got back to us quickly when we reached out. ”

“The room was clean, but the air conditioner shut off in the middle of the night and the room got warm. The front desk reception did not tell us what time the continental breakfast opened. When we went to the breakfast in the lobby at 6:25 am....nothing was made or even out....not even hit water for tea. Disappointed.”

“Minimally acceptable. Property in poor state of repair. Television service is all streaming and impossible to watch even local news and weather. We were assigned a smoking room as there nothing else available. The one ice machine is not available at night or early morning. Definitely would not recommend this facility”
