“My stays are usually just fine,no real complaints. However after several stays I have noticed a few things which need addressing. Namely, the interior room lighting is so poor. People actually need to see what they are doing. One light in the entire room is not enough. the one additional lamp actually needs a light bulb in it so it works! “We were greeted by the owner…she very graciously showed us around the hotel and gave us a room with a view of the New River. She was very welcoming. The 1902 building has been beautifully restored. The room was great…as a side note, she told us that they would be opening a steakhouse in town in a couple of weeks. The space worked very well for us as a couple. Note that they have rooms and dining options available for scheduling an event for friends and family.”

“Just a wonderful experience. Clean and tidy. The hot water was hot, the room heat was awesome, the parking was ample and I liked the cozy and warm decor. The table and two chairs made for a nice dinner while I watched the local birds outside. Absolutely no noise from the highway even though it was conveniently close by. I would definetly stay here again.”

“The cabin is a wonderful place to stay. The bed is super comfortable, the towels are soft, the kitchen is equipped, and everything is clean. Check-in was simple, parking was ample, and communication with the host was fantastic. I loved the beautiful fall decorations throughout the rooms. If I am ever in the area again, I would not hesitate to book this property.”

Like some others mentioned, it was a bit close to the neighbors so if you want total privacy its not the place for you. But we lucked out and the place was pretty empty.
