Perfect place to stay in Florence!
Gaia and Stefano were so helpful with everything and the apartment was beautiful! It had all the amenities we could possibly need and is in a perfect location for exploring the city. Gaia answered my many questions very quickly and gave us some excellent recommendations. Stefano greeted us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed, including restaurant suggestions and reservations. We rented this apartment and another of Gaia's in the same because we had a lathe party and it worked out perfectly for us. I would recommend this apartment to anyone traveling in Florence!

Great stay
Great location. 10 minute or less stroll to everything you want to see in Florence. Nice place. Ceilings are amazing! Only thing not expected was the 2 bedrooms are open to the floor below like a loft. But we adapted, no big concern! Host was great. Quickly in touch whenever we had questions.

Florence for Foodies
Our stay in Florence was spectacular. This apartment was centrally located and we were able to walk and see everything we wanted to see. There were some terrific restaurants only steps away! The apartment is quite old and was not great for older adults (we are all in our 70s). There are two flights of stairs up to the apartment and, once inside, the stairs to the bedrooms are very old and require extra caution going up and down. The upstairs shower did not drain well, and you had to turn the water on and off in short bursts in order to avoid flooding the floor. Other than that, the beds were comfortable, and the apartment was adequately stocked for four people. Be aware that, if traveling with friends, the bedrooms are not very private. They are both lofts and the walls do not reach the ceiling.

Wonderful home away from home in the heart of Florence!
This was my second time at this amazing place! It is spacious, perfectly located and the coffered ceilings and amazing architecture is a truly unique experience. Plenty of hot water and luxurious towels and extremely comfortable beds! Our hosts were very easy to reach and lovely to communicate with. We highly recommend this for a family stay.

Great location in a fabulous city. we walked everywhere.... The unit was clean... a little dark....could use a little more lighting but that is probably a problem anywhere in a medieval city....pack lightly as you have to go up stairs...and it is like that in most vrbos in the area. easy to communicate with....overall...we enjoyed every minute.

A Lovely Apartment in an Excellent Location
We loved the authentically Florentine feel of this place. It was spacious with big windows, great height (that stunning ceiling); the loft bedrooms only enhanced the sense of space. Our late check-in was smooth and simple with digital entry and clear instructions sent prior to arrival. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay within walking distance of everything we’d hoped to see. Would certainly recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful Old Apartment with Character
I fell in love with the "old world" feel of this apartment and the way it was decorated. I had read reviews about the sewer smell (some mentioned it and others didn't). The sewer smell was definitely in the stairwell and hallway but luckily not the apartment. The description says that 6 people could fit but I would stick to a max of 4. One of the sofas was turned into a twin bed which left a very old, uncomfortable couch and a small chair for seating (as well as the kitchen table). We loved having 2 full bathrooms for 5 people. There are no instructions for running the dishwasher and washer/dryer unit. Never did figure out the dryer! While the location is great in terms of restaurants, shopping and attractions, it was very noisy. There is a bus stop just below the window outside and the busses run often. The owners were so responsive and any questions were answered right away. Overall it was a nice stay and we loved our time in Florence! What a gorgeous city!

Perfect spot for a 5-6 people!
We loved everything about this place - great location, outstanding architecture and a very easy experience. It worked well for our family, including our three daughters: 23, 20 and 18. Word of advice - bring some additional shampoo and soap if you are staying for more than a day or so. Also, there is no clothes dryer in the unit, but they do have a large drying rack which worked well. Thanks again for a great experience!

Authentic!
It is in a great location in Florence. Loved the cozy feel of the flat. decor and remodel made it feel like we were at a friends home. Some noise from the streets until late hours but drinking wine helped tune it out. Would recommend it to friends for sure. So clean and owners were accessible for help if we needed them.

Perfect home perfect location
We stayed in September 2022. We were two couples and this two bedroom suited as perfectly. The house was clean and centrally located to most of the major Florence sites. The home was beautifully appointed very clean and very safe, and really was just beautiful. The host had great communication with us. A keyless entry system was fantastic!

Ideal location
The apartment is ideally located in a relatively quiet neighborhood. Great restaurants and shopping all within walking distance - historic sites as well. The apartment was very clean & roomy. The kitchen fit our needs for breakfast & snacks. The A/C worked very well. The owner helped with our entry to the apartment from her remote connection and after that we figured out how use the app although once in, there were actual keys. I recommend this apartment for your next visit to Florence.

Fabulous in Firenze!
This apartment was perfect for us! It is just as described. We wanted something authentic Florence and for that it cannot be beat. It is an old and beautiful building with gorgeous detail. Everything was spotless upon our arrival, which made the last review perplexing. Communication was spot on and our stay was completely seamless. Pietro was very accommodating. The location was also wonderful. We even walked from the train station and other than going out to Tuscany for wine tasting, didn't need transportation other than our feet!

BEWARE. Do not stay here.
I stayed at the property from April 19th - April 23rd 2022. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. I was travelling with my husband and four children (ages 11, 10, 9, and 7). The location of the property is as described. It is very close to the Ponte Vecchio, and walking distance to many of the main sites of Florence. The apartment itself was just horrible. The bathrooms were beyond disgusting (see photos), and there was black mold growing above the windows in the main living space (see photos). On the first night, we attempted to make dinner for our family. Note that the kitchen does not have an oven, only a microwave and a stovetop. We tried to boil water to make pasta, but the stovetop would not function. I contacted the owner, and did not hear back until the next day. She said they sent someone over to fix it, and that a "switch" was flipped from the renters before us. In short, she blamed someone else for the problem. We again attempted to make dinner for our family. The cooktop still did not work. I reached out several times to the owner before she responded and said they would send someone to fix it. She then told me that they had just purchased this new stovetop (a very different story from the "switch" that was flipped by the previous renters). A man came to fix the stovetop that evening. When he was there, the power went off to the entire building twice. After he left, the power went off to the entire building again. All as a result of this "new" cooktop. Needless to say, we were never able to cook a meal and two of our evenings were ruined. We were also out our grocery bills.....plus the meals we had to go find for our family of six when the kitchen did not function as promised. When I addressed the filthy bathrooms and the mold in the apartment, Gaia (the owner), told me that the apartment was just "old". If you look at the photos, you can see that the showers are actually newer. They are inserts that are absolutely not original to the apartment. Also, old things can be cleaned. These bathrooms were covered in mold and dirt. Gaia assured me via text message that I would be reimbursed for the trouble we had at her property. To date, I have yet to see any reimbursement, and every time I contact her she has some excuse as to why it has not been processed. In short, I have stayed at hostiles that were nicer than this. Do not stay here-- or at any property managed by Gaia.

Die Wohnung liegt nahe der Ponte Vecchio, fast direkt am Fluß Arno. Für uns war fast immer eine Ansprechperson da, die gerne geholfen hat. Auf Emails wurde immer schnell geantwortet. Das Gepäck muss über eine Treppe in den ersten Stock getragen werden und vor dem Haus kann man nicht parken. Ist aber nicht schlimm. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt. Alles da was man braucht. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke dafür!

Excellent location in a large open loft apartment
This location can’t be beat, akin to staying on Madison Avenue in NYC above the high end stores . The apartment was large and open and in an older building. We were surprised to learn that the two bedrooms upstairs did not have full walls , so there was not a lot of privacy or quiet as a result . This ended up being fine for us , but should be noted in the description. The unit was very clean but in my opinion could use some updating. The property manager was responsive and lovely to deal with . Overall it was wonderful and we would definitely recommended .

From description is clear that the bedrooms are open to the living room,we always try to be precise,also we constantly update our locations as we rely on a huge hangar in Bologna where we store the results of our research,carpets,tables,cuscions,etc. We are planning the next updating this november. thank you for everything Bests Gaia

This apartment is practically perfect.
This apartment is practically perfect. This was my Florence home for about a week in the middle of July 2019, and I loved it from the start. Seriously. It was hot in Florence, and I was nervous that, though I knew there would be air conditioning, that it would be hot in the apartment as it was on the second floor with memorably high ceilings. What I walked into was a cool, bright, and beautiful oasis. I may never forget that first moment. Those ceilings! So, for you Summer travelers, don’t worry about the heat. The photos clearly show an air conditioning unit in the main room on the main floor, but each bedroom has one too. The bedrooms were of a good size, and the beds were comfortable. I quite enjoyed the loft-like half wall that opens to the living area below. Bathrooms: Perfect. Kitchen: It really had everything we could need. We made a few meals in as well as had some delivery. Just like home. The table was great for getting some work done, playing cards or just catching up over coffee. Location: I have stayed in several parts of Florence. So far, this is my favorite. It is very close to the river for those morning/evening walks and so very close to some truly wonderful shops. But my favorite thing about the location was that it was possible for me to walk most of the way to the Piazza della Repubblica without seeing more than a handful of other people (sometimes that is nice, right?) I use Via del Purgatorio and cross over to Via del Parione, etc. Anyway. I can wholeheartedly recommend this stunning apartment. Mi piace!

Nice home base
The location cannot be beat—easy walking to the Uffizi, etc. And the check in process went very smoothly even though we arrived late at night. The flat itself has some drawbacks; the interior is rather dark (as in, poorly lit), and the bathrooms look like they need a deep cleaning and some grout.

Hi Carol, Thank you for this comment,the apartment is not on the top of the building but you can expect the same illumination shown in the pics,as we always use natural light for our pictures ,of course it may change depending on the season,there are very big windows and enough lamps in the whole unit,I am sorry that this wasn’t enough to meet your expectations. Regarding your appoint on the cleaning there’s no record in my past hundred reviews of complaints on this point,we rely on our trusted staff which is extremely professional and committed,maybe the old tiles of the floor give you this idea but they are not dirty,they are just dated hundred years back,I can tell that the cleaning is adequate in all my rentals,I understand that for some people is not easy to live in the historical places which were built with other destination compared to modern life. Perfect for us
Great location and space for our family’s first trip to Florence. Two adults and two daughters 17 and 20. Perfect fit for all our shopping, cultural, eating and traveling experiences. Be prepared for some stairs, and no early night sleeping because windows face a fairly busy street. We loved it!

A great location!
We could walk to all the great sights in Florence. Shopping close by and amazing restaurants. Our host was very helpful and responsive. Great apartment for 2 couples...lots of room to spread out during your stay. We would definitely recommend this unit to anyone! Try Gobbi 13...wonderful food!

Beautifully designed and well maintained. Best vacation rental we have stayed in.
Tips: There is one flight of stairs to get to the apartment and there is an interior stair up to the loft. The bedrooms are on the loft level and open to below. The house numbers on the street are not in sequence, so the address will not show up in the exact location on google maps.

Amazing location and great service!
This apartment was perfect for our needs. Close to everything with fantastic service. We definitely recommend having a drink at the rooftop bar at the Westin Excelsior. It is only about 2 blocks from the apartment and the view is amazing!

Great Apartment
This apartment was wonderful for our stay with two adults and two teens. It’s spacious with two nice bedrooms and very comfortable beds. One of the bathrooms is upstairs, and other is downstairs. The bedrooms were both upstairs and separated by a wall that did not quite go all the way to the ceiling. Nice closet space too. If traveling from the United States, be aware that most of these locations have washers without dryers (something we’re not used to!) But there is a clothes hangar to use for them to air dry. The location was ideal, walking distance to a lot of nice stores, well-known sites and great gelato across the bridge! Gaia was very responsive to all questions, and Stefano was very helpful getting us situated. The list of places to eat provided by the owners was very helpful, and all the ones we tried were delicious. We would definitly stay here again.

Charming Apartment
Our group of 4 stayed in this charming apartment for our four-night stay in Florence. We absolutely loved the location, the street was very clean and the building was clean, we felt safe coming and going at all hours. The apartment is more beautiful in person, it's well appointed and comfortable. Our only hang up was actually finding the apartment when we arrived; you have to find the owner's store then they take you to the apartment; we found signage and street names to be a little confusing so this took awhile, but otherwise our stay was perfect. This is a place we will definitely consider staying at again. Thanks for sharing your beautiful apartment with us!

Beautiful and spacious-

Lovely apartment
We have stayed in many VRBO's and this was a winner. Lovely old Florentine building and lovely decor. Incredibly spacious, especially just for two of us. Huge windows that open to the street (though the street was quite noisy during the day as some people have mentioned in other reviews). Our only quibble, and it is minor, is that the kitchen cabinets and bedroom dressers, because they are old, "stuck" quite a lot upon opening. They could use some upgrade. But, again, this was minor, and we really did love the apartment. Also, the location was outstanding, just a short walk to the major sites. Try Gelateria Carraia at the opposite end of the nearby Ponte Carraia, also I Parione, at the bottom of the building.

This apartment worked great for our family! The location was perfect and everyone was attentive.
We enjoyed staying in this unit while in Florence. Simona and Stefano were very helpful during our stay. The WP Store is directly beneath the apartment. Gorgeous store! Gaia was always just as helpful! Being able to spread out with the two bedrooms on the second floor was nice to relax after lots of site seeing. The apartment is spacious. The windows are huge! The kitchen table was nice and big as well! Having two full bathrooms with a family of six was a huge help! Cafe Amerini was so close for morning coffee, pastry and yogurt! Fabulous Florence Rental!
The apartment was lovely. It looks exactly like the pictures online. The owners were easy to work with and were very understanding even when our train was late. The location is great, walking distance to everything in Florence. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Beautiful and comfortable apartment
My family, six of us, stayed in the apartment the two days after Christmas. The apartment is in a great location and is a short walk to everything in Florence. The two upstairs beds are very comfortable. The two bathrooms are a good size for Europe and very functional. The sleeper sofa bed was okay and comfortable for a sofa bed. The kitchen is cute but only has one electrical outlet. You can only have one appliance plugged in at one time. The WIFI and heating work well. We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Things to note: The floor plan is open so there is not a bedroom with total privacy. The two upstairs bedrooms are open to the living area. The apartment is on a busy street that has a main bus right in front of the building so there is quite a bit of street noise at night. The staircase is old and not ideal for older travelers or those who have trouble with stairs. There are a series of gates and doors to enter the apartment. You will be provided with 4 keys. The main door to the building is very difficult to open. It is typically open but we arrived on a holiday in Florence so we had to deal with the large building door a couple of times. The lock is stripped so the key does not work consistently. The next entry is through an iron gate. This lock also is a bit tricky. The third door is the entry into the apartment hallway. The lock works "OK". The last door is to the apartment and we did not have any problems with the apartment door lock. Overall we enjoyed the apartment and think it is a good value.

Wonderful experience in Florence.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay in Gaia's apartment. Perfect location... spacious, beautifully furnished and very clean and comfortable apartment. Walkable distance to all the sites. We met Stafano at the store and he walked us to the apartment a few doors away. He showed us around ... and how to access the WiFi...and answered all our questions. He was extremely helpful and gracious! Many thanks for Gaia and Stefano. Would recommend this lovely apartment highly to anyone visiting Florence!

Great, Great Location
This apartment is located in a great location as it is within walking distance of all the historic sites of Florence and many outstanding restaurants and shops. Gaia provided lots of helpful hints on the neighborhood that we referenced continually and Stefano (who works in the family owned WP Store nearby) and staff were always willing to offer help and advice. Everything we requested was dealt with immediately, and it was clear that Gaia and the WP staff wanted us to have a wonderful experience both at the apartment and in Florence. The apartment has been completely renovated and the air conditioning and hot water were plentiful. Also all the amenities mentioned in the offering including a washing machine and dishwasher are in the apartment and in good working order. The only thing to be aware of is that the bedrooms upstairs are open to the downstairs, so privacy is limited. The restaurant on the ground floor, that is accessed from the next street over, Parione is very good and worth a visit. I would reserve the apartment again and recommend it.

Perfect Place and perfect location
This was a place to come back after a busy day of touring. It was great to have an apartment that made you feel like home. It is beautiful and the communication with Gaia and the crew where excellent and and very accommodating. The amenities are awesome and cafe right around the corner was awesome for breakfast. It made for a wonderful visit, and we would definitely stay in this gem again.

Spacious and beautiful apartment, perfectly appointed with gorgeous lighting and modern amenities
Our family of 4 (parents and 2 kids 18 and 11), stayed for 3 nights in August. The quality of light streaming into the apartment is gorgeous, the coffered ceiling gives an intimate glimpse of the old world craftsmanship and splendor of a bygone era, the furnishings are lovely and the AC power and water pressure were terrific during the hottest summer in the past 200 years. The location is perfect, on a quiet and fashionable street easily accessible to the everything from the train station to the Duomo to the edgier Oltrarno area to the Uffizi. Gaia was helpful and quickly and kindly responsive from the start and our greeting by Stefano was equally helpful and sweet. The HP store below is great- a hip and unique find in Florence, and echoes the simultaneously old school quality/ modern and gracious Florentine vibe that infuses the apartment. The consistently easy and professional manner of communication with Gaia and Stefano and the stunning and highly functional space we stayed in made for a wonderful visit in Florence. We would stay her again in a heartbeat.
