Hidden Treasure
We have been staying at the Kuleana for over 20 years. We love how quiet it is, the grounds are beautiful, the pool is never overrun with people and the atmosphere is magical. The unit we stayed in was updated however could use a run through of basic kitchen items and necessities. Many were old and not useful. The towels were thin and had holes but all stuff that could be easily fixed. We love it here.

Perfect Location
This was our 4th stay at Kuleana and we love it. From the quiet yet convenient location, the grounds, the pool, and the friendly staff, it really can't be beat! The unit itself is in an excellent ground floor location, with quick access to the pool as well as a nice view of the water. I definitely agree with previous reviewers about the need to replace some items, especially the cookware. We like to cook while in Hawaii (restaurants are expensive!) and it was definitely a challenge in this unit, as the cookware is worn/warped, incomplete/dull knife set, no seasonings, etc. Some of the furniture looks a little dated and needs to be replaced as well, including the couch, the bed, and outdoor furniture. Other than that, it's a very clean, comfortable unit, and I'd certainly recommend it for the value.

Great quiet place!
Nice change of pace from the larger resorts. Loved the pool and found a nice little beach just south of the property. Security worked only in the evening so getting a parking pass was challenging. Could use a tv in the bedroom.

Wonderful ocean view
This was our second stay at this property. It is located on the first floor with the pool close by. The view from the patio is spectacular. It is clean, quiet and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We will go back again!

Great place BUT
AlI told the place was well maintained overall and the staff was very helpful good amenities and the location was perfect - ‘BUT’ - during our stay we had numerous cockroaches in our room two on the lanai one in our the room the first day in the closet another one in the room later several in the bathroom couple in the kitchen area one was very interested in the egg pan which we had just used sitting in the sink - and one that was very interested in my drink or at the barbecue - Think I counted around 11 - they all appeared to be half alive likely due to spray treatments - that’s a lot, but I imagine there are a lot more we didn’t see I have been to Hawaii on five other occasions and have never seen a single roach in any of the rooms, Not that I don’t know they like tropical climates in Hawaii but I’ve never seen them in my room or residence during my previous stays - we were forced to clean everything and keep all food and dishes in the refrigerator or the dish washer - (which was out of order)

Nice place for exploring west maui
Centrally located for exploring west maui. Place is on ground floor. Coin operator washer and dryer. There's a nice bbq area with views of sunset

A Wonderful Place
This property was exactly as advertised. We were a few steps from the pool and a short distance to the beach. We loved fixing our dinner and then enjoying eating it at the sun set. We also loved visiting with others while a few serenaded is with their conch shells. The facility and grounds were well maintained and the staff very friendly. Only complaint was the kitchen needed pot holders and the pillows replaced.

Great location! We spent a lot of time on the patio enjoying the ocean sounds and birds singing to us. This unit was better than the photos show it. Thank you for sharing your property.

The Kuleana condos were excellent! The grounds were absolutely beautiful and extremely clean! Although the property management weren’t very cooperative! It seemed like they weren’t there when we had questions. The parking was a pain and they were extremely nitpicking. Overall I would stay there again.

Best kept secret
We love the kuleana and will hopefully be back soon. The location and the grounds are incredible! The gardens are gorgeous and there are so many creatures to see right out the door. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen has the essentials to cook during your stay. If you’re looking for a well kept casual resort this is it.

Everything was lovely! Steps away from the pool, gorgeous sunsets, and perfect blue waters. The room is a little small, but with just my husband and I and our baby, it worked great! We had the best time.

This property had beautiful grounds and was home to a Turtle sanctuary right behind it. My husband snorkeled everyday we were there! It was a stunning place to watch sunsets from above the rocks. The pool was incredibly clean. The staff were very kind and Regina was so helpful when we were having difficulties with our internet service. The kitchen is well equipped with most everything you need for cooking and cleaning. We have two small children (5yo and 9mo) and this was not a great place to stay with them. The bedroom was very small as we tried to squeeze a crib and a toddler bed in with us. The pool is also very deep and basic, making it difficult to let the little ones splash and play without you in the pool with them the entire time. This condo is also not a great place for crawling or barely walking babies because there is zero baby proofing and I felt like I truly couldn't relax until the 9mo was in bed or taking a nap. Another sad aspect is that the picture showed a little private beach on the property and when we were there we found no beach. Apparently the beach comes and goes, so it was gone the whole time we were there and that was pretty disappointing. All in all, if it were just my husband and me visiting Maui, we would stay here again! But if you have little kids I wouldn't recommend it.

Wonderful
Wonderful start to a several month long stay here on Maui. Close proximity to best snorkeling beaches and resorts. The pool and grounds were extremely well kept and really enjoyed watching the sunset while grilling. My family always stays here and after this trip it was clear why.

Loved the pool, garden, ocean and turtles!! Would have liked a bigger bedroom and bed, and a cleaner couch in the living room!! A couple of beach chairs would have been appreciated as my husband has a problem sitting on the sand. We did not get to the little beach front at all except to look occasionally!! Even with on and off showers it was fine and enjoyed by all. My daughter, her husband and child, were staying somewhere else but said they will stay here at Keleanna next time!! So, mostly; five stars!!

Great room great location great resort
Me and my family love it here. We had a great stay in this room. Swimming pool was less than 100 feet from our patio. You can see the ocean from the room. Great place for snorkeling.
