Pure joy!
We absolutely loved this condo and the location was perfect. The place is completely updated with nice furniture, comfortable bed and all of the kitchen utensils one could possibly need. Having two bathrooms is a bonus and their was plenty of towels. The washer and dryer is not in the unit, but super close and free to use. The view from the condo is amazing! The previous review is misleading, while the condo is not ocean front it is about a close as you can get. You can see the ocean while sitting on the couch and from the bedroom. Sure if you are in the bathrooms you won't be able to see the ocean. The waves crashing is so loud you can hear it with the slider doors closed! As for the kitchen and utensils, everything was absolutely clean despite what the previous reviewer wrote. The dishwasher left spots so maybe he confused that with being dirty. A little rinse aid would fix it. As far as the taste of the water, thats subjective. Being in the middle of Whaler's village was fantastic! And the added bonus of bbq's made it so convenient to do our own cooking. We would definitely rent this unit again. Thank you!

Excellent location & excellent unit!
Amazing location and a very comfortable unit. The host was very communicative and super responsive, amazing overall with a few minor things. The Whaler is one of the better locations on Kaanapali, and this unit is in tower 1 which faces away from the noise of Whaler village (in contrast, tower 2 units is sandwiched between tower 1 and restaurants/Whalers village). You don't have an ocean view when directly looking out of either windows, and that's fair/typical for the price point of this unit. Stepping out to the balcony you see the ocean at a close angle. The unit also felt very spacious for a 1bed/2bath (it's double the size of the studio units). Comfortable bed, and the check-in process was smooth. A few suggestions or minor things that didn't bother us too much: - All 3 hand soap dispensers were watered down, to the point that it felt like 95% water. We had to go to the store & buy our own soap. I'll give the benefit of the doubt that this was done mistakenly by another guest - but if future guests face the same issue, it's fair to deduct a point - Water is very hard/distasteful & fridge has no dispenser to filter. Adding a Brita filter will be a great addition - Many dishes & utensils were dirty - Installing towel hooks would be great. We found it difficult to hang towels from anywhere - At $15 a bag, providing coffee would be a cheap/fantastic addition - Other full-kitchen places we've stayed at provide cooking oil, sugar,basic spices (pepper shaker was out too)

Aloha and thank you for the review. We appreciate the feedback we receive from our guests like yourself. I would like to note that the photos we provide on the website are done at angles that accurately portray the views and there certainly is a beach view from the sofa and of course the balcony which will be at an angle because we are not a beach front unit, we are an ocean view unit. As for your suggestions, we ordered a replacement Brita filter as a previous guest must have either taken or broken the one we had. We will be adding bathroom hooks for towels and looking for other ways to improve our guests stay. Thank you again for your suggestions

Wonderful Maui Stay!
This spot was perfect for my husband and I as we enjoyed Maui for a week and celebrated a family wedding. The bed was comfortable and we loved having two bathrooms and the bedroom separate from the living and kitchen area. The finishes were beautiful and everything was well stocked. The hosts were marvelous and responsive and the property is in a great location with a wonderful view. We enjoyed all of the walkable restaurants and snorkeling at black rock (also walkable). We spent one night in the Ritz in Kapalua and we much preferred this condo at the Whaler! We highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful Condo
The condo is beautiful, well appointed and comfortable. It was a great hang space for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed -- which was super helpful when we wanted to take a break from eating out. Both Kelli and Vance were responsive to all of my questions -- both before and during our visit. When we return to Kaanapali, we will definitely try to rent their condo again.

Incredible!!!!
This place was incredible and would absolutely stay here again. The Whaler is a perfect location. Very short beach walk to Whalers Village and Black Rock. Check-in and out was very easy, the room has an incredible view, extremely clean, and comfortable. The communication from the owner is awesome. They have a book with everything outlined for everything you could need or want. The only thing, very minor, is that I expected the washer & dryer to be in the unit, like the others we rented, vs down the hall way. Highly recommend this spot!!!!!

Great unit

50th Birthday Celebration Trip

Great location
Great unit! Just like the pics! The Whaler resort is the perfect location for beach, restaurants and shopping. This is our 3rd year staying at this resort. Love it! Actual unit was well stocked and done well. The only downside was this unit did not have a washer/dryer in the unit. Totally my mistake for not double checking the listing, so this was a surprise upon our arrival. We used the Resort laundry, which was free, but a little hard to get an empty unit without waiting. Again...my bad for not rechecking. The owners were great and promptly answered all questions. Definitely recommend.

Lovely condo on beautiful Maui Beach!
This condo is in The Whaler Resort, which is a mid-sized resort on Ka'anapali beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Maui. The condo is fantastic, even nicer than the pictures - well furnished and spotlessly clean. It had all of the amenities we needed for our stay, and more, including beach towels, chairs, and both small and large coolers. The bed was very comfortable and we stayed cool using just the ceiling fans and keeping the sliding doors open to let in the breeze and to hear the ocean waves. The resort itself is also very tidily kept. It sits right on the beach so you have excellent sunset views and easy access to the ocean. Just a short walk down the beach lies Black Rock beach, where we snorkeled nearly every day - we saw so many sea turtles! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this rental!

Overall a very good experience. Property manager is very reasonable and considerate! Resort check in staff is rude, otherwise we had lot of fun staying at this residence!

March Kanapali stay
We stayed at the Whaler in one bedroom unit with two bathrooms, the unit was very clean, totally renovated the kitchen had all we need, the bedroom were clean and the bed was comfortable, the air condition worked very well in both rooms the fans also made the room more comfortable, the balcony overlooked the ocean and the black rock and was very large and accommodated four chair s and two extended chairs with more room to spare. Our stay was great and we will be back next year for sure.

SUPERB.
I don't know how this luscious condo would work for a family, but for a couple? A 3-4 girl's trip? Look no further. The place is beautifully updated and appointed. It's spacious, comfortable and right in the heart of Kaanapali Beach. Having two full bathrooms makes it a unique find in a one-bedroom condo and a wonderful bonus for guests. Located right next door to Whaler Village, the hub of activity for the area, makes reservations for dinner, snorkeling, whale watching, beach rentals, etc extremely convenient. The check-in process wasn't a 'process,' it was as easy as checking into a nice hotel. The staff couldn't be lovelier or more helpful. And the owners? Oh my goodness, a dream: easy to get in touch with, very knowledgeable about the area, and absolutely dedicated to making sure your stay is as perfect as you hope it will be. Oh, and that balcony, talk about roomy! It has a dining table with four chairs and two lounge chairs PLUS a fantastic view of Black Rock, Molokai, a bit of Lanai, and the occasional rainbow. We spent a lot of mornings and evenings just soaking up joy of being there. In paradise. 10 Stars. Highly recommend.

Great Place!
We loved our stay! The property was just as listed. Beautiful view of Kaanapali Beach with many whale sitings (thank you for thinking of binoculars!). Comfortable furniture. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and even used the grill one night. The kids enjoyed using the pool and hot tub in the evenings. We liked being so close to Whaler’s Village for shopping and for getting a quick bite to eat. Friendly staff and overall great place. You thought of everything. Thank you!

Perfect beach stay
Very nicely decorated, the kitchen had everything you would need,. Very comfortable, loved the lounging chairs on the lanai spent many hours out there reading, listening to the waves and enjoying the view.

Great beach access.
Nice condo. Easy access to the beach, just steps from the building. Building has underground parking included with your resort fee. Building has outdoor grilles and tables and chairs available for use. Condo has a nice kitchen and master bedroom. Nice large balconey.

Awesome stay, great location, nice condo
Wonderful property at Whaler's Village. Centrally located in Kaanapali for countless activities. Condo itself is in immaculate shape with new furnishings. Had one issue with an A/C unit that went offline. Contacted owner and within 30 minutes, a maintenance person was onsite and the issue was resolved. Highly recommend this owner and this property! We'll be back for sure!

We had such a wonderful time in Kaanapali. It all started with having a great place to stay. This condo is very comfortable in many ways. The bed is great, the lanai is large, the kitchen has everything you might need, etc. Kelli was easy to get a hold of for any question that came up. The pictures represent the condo well. I would highly recommend this condo to others.

We loved our stay at the Whaler 412
The condo was completely remodeled and the kitchen was stocked better than any condo we’ve stayed at. I felt like a queen staying in a unit that was furnished with brand new furniture, TVs and appliances. It was very clean and the bed was very comfy! The condo felt so roomy and I was surprised at how big the balcony was! The views are amazing and you can see the beach and black rock right off the balcony. We really loved the location. We were right next to Whaler’s Village! We were able to walk to restaurants and shops and we loved taking a stroll at night on the Kaanapali walkway right out front! We will definitely come again!
