The check in experience was complicated. It was late, I was ready to check in and go to bed. The front desk employee said there system was down and she would not he able to check me in. She didn’t know when it would come back up, therefore even with a reservation she couldn’t guarantee me a room for the night. I had to suggest she call her manager for help.

Based on the online reviews, we expected to arrive, immediately find filth and bed bugs in the room, and wind up having to find another place to stay. But the motel was actually quite decent. The room was clean, the bed fairly comfortable and the staff as helpful as can be. Unfortunately the sink and shower drains were slow, which really grosses me out, and we found a cockroach on the ceiling the first night (of 5 nights). Still, I would recommend this motel as an affordable alternative based on the well maintained rooms and attention to overall cleanliness.

Staff is super nice and friendly, room was extremely clean and well taken care of. Pool was super warm and very clean

The rooms were clean and staff was helpful. Location was convenient. The pictures online however showed better than the actual condition. Hot tub wasn’t working, free breakfast was packaged pastries more like a convenience store variety, and there was no restaurant onsite as listed as one on the amenities on a few sites. The other real bummer was the smell of weed as you walked down the hall. They also charge an extra $50 a night which was a surprise and definitely not worth the cost.

Comfortable stay and friendly staff. Housekeeping was by request only, which was a bit different, but overall, quite good. Couple or weird stains on the bedsheets, but overall conditions were good

The Days Inn in Hillsdale is a decent place to stay. There aren’t many options so for that, it does the trick. But a lot was left to be desired. The biggest issue I had was all the marijuana smoking our first night there. The place stunk of the stuff. It was fine the second night. But I don’t know if something was said or those tenants/visitors weren’t there. The vanity is outside the bathroom, fyi. The toilet and toilet paper dispenser were very low to the ground. In any event, it was a decent stay. A solid three from me.

Very clean. Breakfast items could be improved. Dont like to cook things like waffles in a microwave. Prefer a toaster oven. Staff were all very congenial.

Thin walls--I could hear phone conversations next door happening in normal voices (not yelling). It seemed televisions were always on around me. Hard to sleep if you like it quiet.

The carpet was dirty, had to get a vacuum before settling in. Bathtub was patched and stained and had film on it. Wouldn’t stay there again

No elevator. Staff was friendly but someone had their car parked for two days with a dog in it. To me it looked like a homeless person living in the car. Front desk said it was a guest.

Room 206 shower supply line issue
The shower made a whole lot of noise when I diverted the water to the shower head from the tub faucet. The supply line in the wall was hammering away for about 5 minutes each time I used it. My apologies to the rest of the guests for the racket.

The breakfast was disappointing. My husband ended up with a bad burn on his arm as the lid on the cup of hot water did not fit properly. The hot water automatically expanded the cup so the lid could not fit. The staff came and mopped up the spilled water and did not offer and ice pack or anything to help the the burn.

The tv didn’t work. The tub had 5 inches of water in it after a shower. There was no hot tub. We were never allowed more than 2 pool towels.

So everything was Good , except for the room expedia booked me in, a handy cap room! Didn't need that type. No where in the description of room did it mention handicap,it said 1 king bed and nothing else other then 2 room left @ the price quoted. That is the only problem I have. I cannot get expedia to exchange/swap different room for same price quoted nor partcial refund.

They couldn't find my hotels.com reservation, so I had to pay $60 more than quoted to stay 2 nights. Also breakfast was kind of scarce, maybe because we were later in the morning. Beds were comfy.
