Truly amazing real Devon
Had an absolutely amazing time the people were so friendly breakfast is amazing 10 out of 10 we had a walk at the back to the reservoir literally 5 minutes from the house true Devon thoroughly recommend with a nice stroll into town

Fantastic b&b
An absolutely exceptional b&b. The hosts were brilliant with great local knowledge, the decor of the b&b and its rooms was outstanding, and the breakfast amazing.Would highly recommend.

A great friendly place to stay
The Earlsdale is a lovely place to stay Lewis and James couldn't do enough for you.. The breakfast was amazing so much to choose from the full english is to die for .. i tried the eggs benedict which were lovely too.. the rooms are comfortable clean, warm and well maintained.. nothing is too much trouble... Well done Lewis and James keep up the good work.. looking forward to staying with you again

Perfect Stay
This is undoubtedly one of the best overnight stays I have had, wish I had cause to use more often.

We weren't able to arrive until 11pm, but James and Lewis were kind enough to stay up and allow us to check in.

Excellent hosts. Have already started to improve the accommodation since taking over this year. Very nice bar and dining area and bedroom with original features. This place will only get better as they go.

Chuck and Lewis go above and beyond the line of service. Offering valuable insight of North Devon, flexible support in all aspects of travel and comfort, are excellent cooks, hosts, and charming people overall. Loved just about everything except the tight parking lot. The parking spaces were not the most fat friendly. Good thing they are within walking distance of the harbor and boutique shops. Would love to visit again. I highly recommend The Earlsdale if staying anywhere near Ilfracombe.

This is a lovely Victorian style building which has been altered and modernised to suit the purpose of a guest house. There are a few very minor cosmetic areas that can be improved on but the owners, Lewis and James have only been in the property a few months and are working their way through a plan of refurbishment. As they say, you can't do everything at once, and the few small things that need attention certainly don't detract from a pleasurable stay. Lewis and James are wonderful hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are absolutely wonderful too. We will certainly be back and we can't recommend this guest house highly enough. We also like the fact that it is for adults only and no pets are allowed. There are times and places where we just enjoy peace and quiet. Thanks so much guys.

Friendly Hotel
Breakfast good. Fairly near town. Very friendly and helpful guys running it. Room OK with en suite, water, tissues etc and a fridge with water, milk and beer

Charming hotel with chraming hosts.
Fantastic stay. Hosts were very warm and welcoming - made every effort to be of assistance and provided a lot in a short stay - welcome drinks & homebaked cookies, good chat and great advice on the local area. The hotel was vert tastefully laid out and decorated, with fantastic features and art to appreciate. Room and bathroom were very large, everywhere was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Easy to park. I really enjoyed the bar and the fact that drinks and snacks could be taken on an honesty basis - really refreshing. Breakfast was superb.

Had the best time the owners couldn't do enough for us nothing was too much. So welcoming and helpful. Food was lovely the room was very clean and comfortable all in all a perfect little b+b. The location also great. Will definitely be returning to the Earlsdale.
