Family gathering
Five of us gathered in this beautiful, expansive house right on the beach close to Vero Beach restaurants and shopping. Large, well equipped kitchen for cooking together. Lovely pool that we used every day. Difficult access to beach because there are no stairs down the dune. Also, numerous things needed updating like towels and bed linen, as well as beach chairs.

Great stay
Yearly beachfront family vacations are a staple for my family. This has been our favorite location. The house is beautiful with lots of space for everyone. My favorite thing about this house was the view we had. As soon as you open the front door the first thing you see is the beach. Just the perfect location.

Good trip, adjacent (south) property still being finished
If you read through the other reviews going back 2 years, and ignore "wildcards" that seem inconsistent - you have a proper understanding of what to expect. For context, I generally have high expectations for properties, and this fits within the ball park of my expectations for the cost. For us (parents with young kids), this was all about location and convenience (private pool, ocean view & access, nearly private beach) in a great area (Indian River Shores; A+) and a short drive (5 min) from restaurants/shops, & things to do. All of that was great (A+) and exceeded my expectations. Downsides? While well furnished, and everything was in working order and generally clean, the wear and tear on the property is all pretty evident and can be nit-picked variously, depending on your inclination. Family room, TV, Internet, kitchen appliances, beds, towels... all fine, no problems or issues there. Surprisingly, no extras (no beach umbrella, beach toys, etc... we left ours, so hopefully they'll be there in the future). There is still construction happening on the adjacent (south) property which overlooks the pool. We knew about it ahead of time because we asked the owner and he was forthcoming (see bing maps; google doesn't have it on there yet). He noted that he didn't expect exterior work, but there was moderate exterior work during our stay, weekdays primarily 9am - 1pm. Not terrible, but it was a bit more than we expected. I'd rent it again.

Tuscan holiday
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. The home is reminiscent of a coastal Tuscan Villa. Upon entry, the formal living room boasts a beautiful Steinway Grand player piano. The formal Dining room has a wet bar. The bedrooms are spacious with a split floor plan with the master with king bed and another guest suite with two full beds. Another bedroom across the hall had a king bed. All bedrooms had their own attached bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped with proper cooking supplies. Outside their was a large pool and built in grill. There is construction going on next door but it did not affect us at all. There is a nice lawn behind the home. The yard is not fully fenced in - we brought a gate from home to close off a small staircase off the back of the patio to keep our dog contained. The beach access is a little tricky … there are no stairs - you have to walk down a sand dune. It could be tricky for someone with mobility issues. We had the beach mostly to ourselves - it was nice and wide ( unfortunately had seaweed while we were there ). There is a public beach area with a life guard not too far down the beach for visitors with children. The property is a quick 10 minute ride to the shops and restaurants in beachside Vero Beach.

Amazing Home!!!
The house itself was amazing, large but cozy. The beach on the other hand was disappointing. There were too many seaweeds and the waves were very strong. My young kids were a little afraid of the water. We ended up staying in the pool most of the time and venture to other surrounding areas. Overall, this house is a must for large family with kids. We will definitely be back again, hopefully next time there is no seaweed on the beach.

Wonderful Vacation
We stay in a different area every year, and this was by far one of our favorites. The house was beautiful and we greatly enjoyed ourselves. We only left the house to go to the grocery store, had everything we needed right there!! The cons were that we didn't realize the construction was literally on the other side of the pool, so we had construction workers watching us all day and LOUD noise from 7 am - 5 pm. It might have just been worse our week since they were working on the wall by the pool. Also, when we arrived the pool bottom was pretty dirty ( didn't stop us one bit though... ha ha ) Wish we would've known ahead of time what days the landscapers and pool lady were coming, we were getting ready to get in pool as she came to clean pool on our last full day and we couldn't use the pool for 2 hours. The day the landscapers came wasn't a big deal, but we would have planned our day differently. Overall our stay was FANTASTIC and the home is beautiful and being able to walk to the beach at any time is priceless.

Location, location, location - beach day/pool day, spacious interior inside and out!
My family and I enjoyed our stay immensely and plan to return! In spite of minor dated household items needing attention, or the construction noise going on next door, this do not disrupt or deter us from our enjoyment of this lovely home, it’s location or property. The host/owner was very responsive and helpful to any of our questions. Thank you Anthony for family memories we will never forget!

Beautiful Property
We really enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful and the location was perfect. An Italian villa right on the beach with a beautiful yard and pool, but high enough up from the beach that it was private. Anthony was a gracious host and all the logistics went great. There is a fairly large construction project next door but it didn't negatively impact our stay. Thank you Anthony!

Beachfront haven
This property was everything we were looking for in a family gathering. An ocean view from practically the entire home, huge outdoor patio with a pool and plenty of outdoor furniture to relax. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need and each bedroom had its own private bath. Beautiful landscaping greets you upon entering the property and the owner, Anthony is dog friendly. What more can you want? The home does need some TLC in some areas as mentioned in previous reviews but this did not matter to us and had no impact on our enjoyment. Also, there is new home construction next door which did add some noise during the day but that's life and no fault of the homeowner Anthony who we did contact on one occasion to troubleshoot the outdoor gas grill. He was responsive and we resolved the issue immediately. We surf fished all week and were successful in catching pompono, bluefish and Whiting even though we never surf fished once in our life. Go to Vero Tackle and Watersports in town for all you need for a first timer or seasoned vet. We were set up with everything we needed for the week and were not disappointed with the service. Truly a memorable Christmas and New Year. Thank you Anthony.

Graduation gift trip
Large house. Plenty of seating areas. With only 5 of us we only utilized the bedrooms and the kitchen/ family room.Kitchen is fully stocked. Pool/ patio was well appointed. Plenty of pool floaty and sand toys. More seating areas. Property is in need of some TLC, but nothing that interrupted my stay. The only down side for me was there weren’t any stairs leading to the beach. It was difficult to get back up the sand dune. Neighborhood and beach were very quiet. There is a guarded beach down a bit so we could see the flags which made me comfortable entering the water.

Oceanfront, Pool, great kitchen
After reading the previous review we were a bit concerned but that review was mean spirited and inaccurate. We arrived a bit early and the garbage from the previous renters had been not picked up and by the amount of garbage cans that were full they must have really either done some big partying or had a lot of people in the house.The owner was just finishing repairing damages from the previous renters he was so sincere in his apologies and finished the repairs and left us to enjoy the home. We loved the proximity of the ocean and the pool is literally right outside the kitchen door, very convenient. There are TV's in almost every room and the furniture is so comfortable. Lots of outdoor furniture and tables for dining.Tons of towels etc. and the kitchen is very well stocked. We rent lots of homes and we found this home to be better stocked, by far, than most. Also of note: the kitchen drawers and their contents were very clean, many rentals have dirty pots and pans, dishes etc., not so here. Nice surprise! This is an older home with a few quirks but has all the charm one would expect. Our main objective was a home right on the ocean with a pool and marvelous location and this home fits the bill. The owners are extremely gracious, incredibly helpful and did all they could to make our stay lovely.

Family vacation
We were so excited the house look in good shape in the pictures but they are so old we can tell right when you enter, the house was dirty it has a strong drain smell in the bathrooms that extend through the house it was just dury everywhere but worst of all they have bug beds and cockroachs and the doors are so old it's hard to get them open , we couldn't use the garage it was full of stuff and the pool had beer bottles from previous renters and lots of sand.

We have been renting our oceanfront home since 2009 with 5 star reviews consistently. The pictures of the exterior and interior show that the home is well maintained and cared for. On Saturday June 12th 2021, our housekeepers arrived to what they described as "It looks as if a bomb went off in this home". They immediately sent us pictures of damages, garbage everywhere, food left all over the kitchen counter and floors, a spill of a white substance on the dinning room table left there to dry, empty bottles of water, soda, beer left all over the inside and outside of the home. We have a pool company that cleans the pool twice a week before the next tenants arrive. Our cleaning crew is also responsible for cleaning the outside pool area, bbq, arrange all the patio furniture and observe and report if anything needs immediate attention. The home was cleaned, sanitized, pool cleaned and NO BEER BOTTLES IN POOL NOR SAND when this family arrived there on Saturday June 12, 2021. If there was an issue when they arrived, they should have called us immediately to report the items they saw such as beer bottles in the pool. But NO PHONE CALL NOR COMMUNICATION OF ANY KIND was received by them to inform us of ANY ISSUES with the home. I am thankful I have pictures to provide to VRBO for the claims of broken items they broke and witnesses to provide proof of the ABSOLUTE FILTH this family left behind as we have proof and verbal account of new tenant who arrived early to the home and walked in to see the disaster left by them. Since 2009, THERE HAS NEVER BEEN BED BUGS IN OUR HOME!!!! The beach does have NO SEUMS, WHICH ARE ALL OVER FLORIDA BEACHES!! It is VERY APPARENT that when this family booked this home, they COULD NOT AFFORD IT!! As they had air mattresses in the rooms for more people than allowed!! Tenants such as this family/ woman write reviews such as this in order to try to get a FREEE vacation stay, It is UTTERLY DISHONEST AND DISGUSTING!!!!!. As for the garage, it states very clearly in the description of the property that THE GARAGE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL!!! Therefore, this family was TRESPASSING in the garage without permission to enter it!!!! We are happy to provide all the pictures taken by the cleaning crew as they arrived there on Saturday June 19th after they checked out of the home. We are always available to the tenants 24hrs a day and live very close to the home. We NEVER received any calls of problems the entire week they were there!

February 2021 Getaway
The property is fabulously located right on the beach and minutes from the charming village of Vero Beach. The property itself has some ocean-related wear and tear and the owner addressed a few things right away that made the entire time an awesome experience. We won't be back because we loved the ares so much we bought a condo!

Incredible beach access and beautiful heated pool
Best pool, yard and out door furnishings ever. Most perfect beach front with just a few feet to the unblemished beautiful sandy beach and perfect beach swimming. Can walk on the beach which has limited access for miles in either direction. Owners are great. Beautiful house but somewhat aged. Unlimited beach sized towels was a great plus . Bring your own bathroom soap and paper towels . Enjoyed our stay very much . Just a few miles to town , restaurants etc.

Beach privacy !
Loved the beach, privacy and property - worked out perfectly for our group and small dog. Pros - beach, pool, yard, kitchen amenities, owner communication Cons - cleaning crew could have done a better job prior to arrival. Some may say the house decor is "dated" but we came to be outside and enjoyed every second of it. I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at VERO Beach. No reason to leave the property. There were a few maintenance issues while we were there but the house is wonderfully laid out. Kitchen is well stocked. Pool and beach were gorgeous!!

Could have been way worse
We arrived on the eve of Topical Storm Isiaias. We enjoyed the storm coming in and watching it play out. We awoke to a warm house, one of the A/C units failed. Contacted Anthony and he delivered portable A/C units that day as the unit was unrepairable. So that was a good save. We spent the majority of our time outside at the pool and beach. They are exactly as pictured. The house has a very private feel. Overall we enjoyed our time very much.

Spring Break
We had a great time! Private beach and back yard. Soo quite. We grilled out, slept late and were in the pool everyday. Pictures as advertised. Awesome set up with two king bed suite. Perfect driveway for small boat. Fishing gear easy to load/unload and loved the garage area to lock up our stuff! We cooked every night and had all kitchen equipment on hand. Anthony was awesome and responsive.

Awesome
This place is beyond the most wonderful place anyone could hope for. My family and I never left the property. If you desire peace and privacy, this is the place!!! The owner is great and provides everything, and easily reached by phone, text or e-mail. The house is beyond the pictures and very well stocked. I just wished we could have stayed longer, we will be back and hope to stay 2 weeks. This is the best family vacation location for privacy and relaxation, especially if you have kids and desire a beach all to your self. I think we only seen 10 people walk by the whole week we were there. I highly recommend this property, great atmosphere and the town is so clean and people are great.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Older furnishings but well kept up for the most part. Would consider this property again if going to that area. Only had 2 minor issues and Anthony took care of it immediately with a phone call.

Awesome stay!
From the time we booked our vacation, Anthony was super helpful and attentive to any questions we emailed him with. When we finally arrived at the house, we were blown away. The house + the beach = a perfect getaway! The layout of the house was absolutely perfect for our party of 8, with enough space to spread out and more than enough opportunities and areas to all get together. Whether it was morning coffee, watching the sunrise over the ocean, or lunch by the pool, or just lounging on the ultraprivate and gorgeous beach, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location. The surf was just amazing for enjoying the ocean, and the pool was perfect for ending the days in the sun. The bedrooms in the house were terrific, so private and so beautifully appointed, each with their own awesome bathrooms. Dinners around the oversized dining room table, looking out at the beach and horizon, and game and movie nights lounging in the great family room, made for some really fun memories. We can’t thank Anthony enough for allowing us to enjoy his beautiful home, and would defiantly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect beach house vacation. We will certainly be looking to return, and wish the week didn’t have to end. 😀

RUN DOWN, NEGLECTED HOUSE
The location is great. Very close to the center of town and right on the beach. The kitchen is well stocked and there are lots of towels. We should've seen a red flag when Anthony asked us to cancel our VRBO confirmation and book directly through him so he can save on fees. It is obvious that the house must've suffered from water damage. It's clear that the homeowners are not putting any more money into this house. There are two cracks in the bedroom wall. The ceiling is covered in spackle to conceal it. The carpet has been replaced with vinyl flooring. There are holes in the rattan headboard in the kids room. There is a squirrel living in the attic which awakens you at 630am. 20% of lightbulbs are burned out and they replace them with a combination of flood lights and regular light bulbs. The corner shelf in the bathroom had fallen off and is laying on the corner of the tub. The tan colored toilet lid must've broken at some point and they've replaced it with a significantly larger white lid which looks ridiculous. There is dirt and fingerprints around all the door handles and light switches. The wallpaper is coming off the walls and the ironing board is full of stains, meanwhile the iron's cord was broken. The furniture is different than the online photos. The owners replaced them with very old, dark, and worn leather couches which look to be 20 years old. The dining room chairs' leather is also peeling. The exterior is in just as bad shape. The lounge chair cushions are totally ripped with stuffing pouring out. I'm not sure if an animal got to them? The two outdoor tables are made of wood and both had significant mold on them. One table had 40 screws someone had put in because the wood was warping. The gas grill has a knob missing and also has a gas leak (gas leak reported to the owner). There were bee hives under the tables and under the eaves of the house. The house exterior is cracking and is in need of a new paint job. There is a pit next to the grill where there is debris (sprinkler, plastic inner tubes for the pool, etc) that no one has cared to pick up. This didn't bother me but there are 5 lion fountains at the pool, only 3 of them work. The stone patio is in need of a good power wash. I've reported all this with photos to VRBO and to Anthony. I have sent him two follow up emails and have not heard back. He's very responsive until you want a partial credit for your stay. Don't stay here.

Spectacular as usual
This is the second time my family and I have stayed at this property and it was spectacular as usual. You cannot beat the location, the house, the pool, the beach, the ocean and the views. It is like staying at your own private resort. The home has everything you need.

Tranquil & Bright Ocean-View Hideaway
Our family spent a joyful week enjoying Anthony’s beachfront home. Stepping through the front door, we were greeted by a literal glass wall of sunlight - with windows and sliding doors opening to bright views of the lawn, palm trees and the gorgeous blue-green ocean and white sands below! ☀️🌴🏖 The kids were immediately drawn to the pool deck (and shed plentifully filled with water and beach play toys). Subsequent hours were spent lounging on the chairs, enjoying the pool (heated) and sound of the waves below. The waves in Vero Beach are substantial (which pleased our teenage boys and my husband, too) and created a perfect palette for boogie-boarding & bodysurfing. (Of note, the lifeguard station just South of the property flew a red or yellow flag signaling rough surf the majority of our stay; I highly recommend bringing life jackets for kids as an extra precaution - though good swimmers, our teenage boys even wear them - the waves and undertow are truly quite powerful!) Anthony’s home is ornately decorated. (I took care to move some decorative breakables out of the path of our boys, but in general, it’s cozy & family-friendly - and our musical son took extra interest in the player piano in the front room! How fun!) The kitchen was well-stocked with just about any and every coffee-making appliance in existence (!!!) and the built-in outdoor grill was also useful for meal-prep (we cooked a lot at home...didn’t want to leave the house...Publix and The Fresh Market not far from the house)! My dad took some of the boys on an Indian River fishing charter with “Captain Charlie” for a half-day and they caught dinner (they had a blast!), we also ordered pizza from Station 49 (amazing - and try the Shishito Peppers App!), and drove to Kilwin’s in town for ice cream. We rented bikes (challenging to cross A1A - parent supervision necessary), but once across, the bike/running path is amazing! The bedrooms were spacious, and bathrooms were nice - one shower/bath per room! (We loved the view from the Master!) The only complaint was that the windows do not open and no screens are on the doors to allow fresh air to circulate in the home - was particularly difficult for the 4 of us who have asthma due to air fresheners/cleaning products used in home. If the windows were functioning, I’d have no complaints (other than adding a cookie sheet or two for use in the kitchen)! Thank you, Anthony! The boys loved playing golf at your course, as well!

Location, location, location!
We so enjoyed our stay at Anthony's beautiful property! It would be impossible to find a home with a better location than this one. You can swim in the pool while listening to the pounding surf, and then walk down the stairs and be on the beach in one minute. Just amazing! The house was roomy and since there were only 4 of us, we didn't use a lot of the space. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the pool and beach. The beds were very comfy. The only negatives: there are no screens on the windows or doors, so you can't have them open to listen to the ocean; quite a few of the lightbulbs were not working; and we had to supply paper towels and toilet paper. But we absolutely loved staying here and had a magnificent vacation. Hope to visit again!
