We recently went for an extended weekend trip and were very happy with our stay. The location is quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk from the downtown area and its conveniences. The owners were personable and provided quality feedback and recommendations on locations to visit based on our questions and tastes. The morning breakfasts were absolutely delicious and homey. We were so thrilled with the quality of the food every morning. Everything was clean, uniquely decorated, and you could feel the owners' touch in the construction and layout. If you're looking to do a couple's vacation in the area, then this is a fantastic and unique destination.

The breakfast alone is worth a visit! Perfect location to access downtown commons and quick drives to the top nature areas and Cornell campus. This was our first visit to Ithaca and we will definitely return!

Wonderful
We had a great stay at the Inn on Columbia. The breakfast was wonderful, including fresh fruits and scones, and our host had an excellent selection of books to browse through. She was also very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities. The room was quiet and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Thank you!

Did not really intend to reserve at B&B but glad I did. The Inn is very clean and tastefully decorated with countless thoughtful touches. I had complete privacy. Easy check in and in/out. Breakfast a sumptuous feast with all the variety one could desire. Madeline is a gracious host, warm and friendly in perfect balance.

I've stayed at many inns and bnbs and this one is well-run and on the top of my list! The room was very clean and cute. Check-in process was super easy and hassle-free. Madeline called me ahead to let me know the room was ready for us as we were in a rush to attend a wedding. The breakfast prepared by her was fantastic and the dining space itself was a beauty. She also got a lot of nice local art at display. We loved the vibe. You have to stay here when visiting Ithaca!

The house is beautifully restored, and guests have access to the living room/dining room area to read or relax. It's a short walk to town, so the location can't be beat. And the breakfast? Yum! Truly everything you could want in a B&B.

Rent the Gazebo for a Secluded Getaway
We stayed overnight in the standalone, airy gazebo. Comes with a comfy firm king bed, soft sheets, a jet tub & a wet room shower. The ceiling is painted an airy blue & there are 2 sets of drapes to block the light & make you feel secluded. Comes with a wraparound porch & a rent-a-puppy named Olive. ♥️ We declined the puppy but said yes to a fabulous breakfast. (they didn’t actually offer the puppy to rent, but she’s a friendly little thing that made it feel like home.) Lots of good things. The only negative is that the tv is small & a little tough to see from bed (admittedly we are used to 55” or bigger). 10-min walk from Ithaca Commons & Restaurant Row. Wonderful hospitality!

Walking distance to the Center of Ithaca
This was a delightful bed and breakfast. It was spacious with a separate bedroom. The large open area had a pull out sofa, desk with a lovely window, kitchenette with a table and four chairs, and gas fireplace. The bathroom had a large soaking tub and had separate entrances from the bedroom and living space. There was also a private porch. Our breakfast was cooked to order and delivered to our room at the time we chose. Overall, a wonderful relaxing stay!

Madeline was personable and professional. We were treated like family. The place is lovely and interesting, and a great location, only blocks away from downtown. She served us a wonderful breakfast, on beautiful dinnerware, even though we slept in due to change of times that night. We couldn't have asked for more, and already have plans to babysit our grandkids so their parents can have a nice little visit to Ithaca like we did. Totally a five star place.

A modern B&B
A grouping of Victorian era homes remodeled with contemporary design and decor. Very comfortable bed. The large common area kitchen in our building was very well stocked. An easy walk to downtown for dining and shopping. We had canceled an AirB&B that was a disaster. The hosts of the Inn on Columbia went out of their way to find us a place on a very busy college weekend. We can’t thank them enough. We stayed three nights and enjoyed Ithaca tremendously thanks to Kenn and Madeline.

A great Inn but pay attention to room choice
We rented the Blue Room on the Villa, which is a darling room in a pretty cottage with a kitchen and living room. Everything about this room was nice except for the street noise at night. The blue room is in the front of the house off a fairly busy through street. The road noise of cars driving past was pretty loud while trying to fall asleep, and in the early morning. Other than the noise, the room was quaint and comfortable, except for the pillows which were lumpy and flat. I requested better pillows and the staff left us two more comfortable pillows the next day. They were very nice about it, and I wished I had spoken up earlier. The ensuite bathroom is pleasant and private. I think the rooms offered in the back of the house were probably quieter. Next time I would request one of these rooms. I also wish I had stayed at the main property, where I hear the owner cooks a wonderful breakfast. Our breakfast pastries were fresh, but fairly bland and doughy. I liked how the staff left a separate box tied with a bow for each room. And the bowl of fruit was appreciated. There were coffee and tea to brew and drink. I wished they had included a loaf of bread for toasting. The back of cottage is quiet and wooded with a small porch and table/chairs. I enjoyed eating my breakfast outside and birdwatching. There was plenty of parking.

A lot of street noise, and not enough insulation between you and the other guests. Didn't feel private. Convenient location. Could walk to several attractions. Plentiful and diverse breakfast items provided. Owners friendly and accommodating.

Great overnight in Ithaca
Inn on Columbia was a real find. Worked perfectly for our overnight on a long drive as the hosts were lovely and checked us into the room super quickly, gave us helpful maps and suggestions for dinner, and then left us to explore Ithaca in the limited time we had. Inn is located in more residential area, within easy distance to downtown or Cornell's campus (quick drive, or a walk to downtown for anyone who doesn't mind an uphill walk home) and had a lovely shared kitchen and common space where a yummy breakfast was left for us in the morning, along with snacks and coffee/tea and beverages for whenever we wanted them. The design of rooms, including a lot of environmentally responsible practices, is really attractive and there was an excellent art collection to top it all off. Highly recommended.
