We rented the Blue Room on the Villa, which is a darling room in a pretty cottage with a kitchen and living room. Everything about this room was nice except for the street noise at night. The blue room is in the front of the house off a fairly busy through street. The road noise of cars driving past was pretty loud while trying to fall asleep, and in the early morning.
Other than the noise, the room was quaint and comfortable, except for the pillows which were lumpy and flat. I requested better pillows and the staff left us two more comfortable pillows the next day. They were very nice about it, and I wished I had spoken up earlier.
The ensuite bathroom is pleasant and private.
I think the rooms offered in the back of the house were probably quieter. Next time I would request one of these rooms. I also wish I had stayed at the main property, where I hear the owner cooks a wonderful breakfast.
Our breakfast pastries were fresh, but fairly bland and doughy. I liked how the staff left a separate box tied with a bow for each room. And the bowl of fruit was appreciated. There were coffee and tea to brew and drink. I wished they had included a loaf of bread for toasting.
The back of cottage is quiet and wooded with a small porch and table/chairs. I enjoyed eating my breakfast outside and birdwatching. There was plenty of parking.
