Cute One Room Cabin with Gorgeous Views of the Grand Tetons

This cozy cabin has two twin beds, a large kitchenette, a bathroom, Direct TV, WiFi and a wood burning stove with a beautiful view of the Grand Tetons. Part of the Diamond D Ranch, there is access to a laundry room with washers and dryers as well as a land line for emergencies across the parking lot. About 50 minutes north of Jackson, 20 minutes from Grand Teton Park and an hour south of Yellowstone.

Perfect getaway for those who like to get away in a crowd.
Great experience visiting overcrowded National Parks that are still compelling to visit, with a nice quiet out of the way place to unwind and reflect on your day’s adventures. Great and accurate description of the property in advance. If you can take care of and provide for yourself, this is a perfect retreat. If you fish or hunt or bike or climb or hike, it is ideal also. Would love to visit again and stay at this property.

Good points: Clean overall, with comfortable beds. The manager came right over to help when the grille wouldn't light, and brought us a new tank of gas. Laundry facility was new and clean and convenient. Not so good points: We were disappointed that the "Cabin" was a four-plex, motel-type unit. The bathroom light switch was broken and other light switches didn't seem to operate anything. Generally the lighting was poor. There was no table at which to eat, nor anything to set your food or coffee cup on outside. We had to hold meals on our laps.

As Described and Clean Stay!
Stay was as described and very clean. The cabin is not far drive from Grand Teton NP East Entrance; but as expected there is not much else in this area. However, we came prepared :)

An honest review; the good and not good.
So, let me cut to the chase and say that I WOULD stay there again. Appliances all worked, beds were comfortable w/ ample linen, and internet access worked fine. Heating was good. The pictures of the unit were accurate. The views of the Grand Tetons from my unit were incredible! That said, there were certainly some things that could have been better: Arrival Process: - There was no communication from the manager/owner before I arrived and, had I not met some other guests and figured out how to contact the owner, I might not have known how to access my unit. In the Unit: - Overhead light fixture in the bathroom was broken w/ exposed lightbulb filaments hanging out. Safety hazard. - The fixture over the bathroom sink had a homemade switch of suspect safety. - Burners on the gas grill were heavily corroded & electric lighter did not work. - Kitchen stock pot was rusted & unusable and kitchen scissors broken. Open food containers from prior guests were left in the cabinets. - Shower curtain was old and stained. Location of Unit: - Excellent. 20 mins. from the entrance to Grand Teton National Park, w/ good access to Yellowstone.
