Établissement chaleureux avec des hôtes disponibles et serviables. Ambiance calme. Beaucoup d’espaces communs pour se reposer. L’emplacement est juste a l’extérieur des zones d’activités, pour le calme, mais pas trop loin. La terrasse extérieure est très agréable et un bon petit déjeuner est servi.

location was beautiful, well centered in midst of the town and amenities. place is pleasantly old but more than acceptable. well worth the money spent. owners were kind and helpful and provided for all needs.

Quick stop over.
Had a late check in but the establishment arranged for me to collect the key at a safe place. The service was excellent and the breakfast was prepared according to my liking. Will visit again.

An average place to stay
For a three star guest house it was ok, however, bathrooms were Very musty smelling. The towels need upgrading along with bedroom decoration. It’s an ok place to stay if you are happy with outdated furniture and furnishings. The breakfast was very nice and very fresh and hot when served. The breakfast room staff were very good. Our party had 2 rooms and the second room was better furnished, however still dated.

Thank you Annie for your feedback. Unfortunately I only received notification of your review today, therefore the delay. We have addressed the towels this past week, and they are all in the process of being replaced. Knysna is a very damp place, and therefore the bathrooms can sometimes smell a bit musty, especially if windows are kept clsed. I am so glad that you enjoyed your breakfast, and the service offered by our staff. The guesthouse is, as advertised, a Victorian Manor House, and is therefore furnished along that theme. Although the furniture is actually Antique, the mattresses are brand new, as the soft furnishing are replaced often. We would welcome you back, and hope that you afford us that opportunity. B&B Kysna
Ett B&B som låg lite ruffigt till. Rummen slitna och lite dåligt städade. Kallt, fick be om värmare, så kom snabbt till rummet. Stället ligger en bit från Waterfront och stadskärnan som om mörkret infunnit sig så bör man ta taxi. Detta bekräftade även ägarinnan till stället.

I am sorry that you found the guesthouse a bit creepy as our guests love the old school ambiance. I agree that it is not safe to walk around at night, but unfortunately this is true for the whole of South Africa. travel safe

Nice B&B. Great service and comfortable home. Excellent fresh cooked breakfast. Easy walking to Knysna waterfront.

Beautiful Hotel with a cosy atmosphere.
We stayed 2 nights at this place. The rooms were charming and the staff really friendly. We also could use the hotel owned parking.

Pleasant well-run location for a short stay
The two ladies running the guest house were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the property overall was clean and well looked after and very secure. However, the room I was in was a bit spartan and outdated (no table or desk and an ancient wardrobe with hardly any clothes hangers) and the bathroom was in need of some TLC. The internet connection was a bit of a challenge on occasions as well but the problems were addressed when brought to the attention of management. Overall, though, good value for money.

budge room
smelled badly of mould and mildew. was damp also, and not because of the rain. even when curtains closed bright light shone through the window all night. fresh dog feces to be avoided when walking paths outside in the morning.

My previous response was rejected. This room has now been thoroughly upgraded and enlarged, and we hope that we can afford us the opportunity to revisit and see the difference.

Friendly welcome.
We arrived and we were greeted by the owner of the guest house who showed us around. The breakfast was very good and cooked À La Carte. There was also cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt. The WIFI was not accessible in the room as stated in the expedia description. However the owner said they were in the process of upgrading the signal to reach all of the rooms.

As this was venue 4 of my coastal trip from cape town to durban I must say I had a pleasant stay. Rooms are basic and offer only the necesities. Its comfortable and well priced. Not recomended if you after luxury. Splendid hosts. Breakfast was spot on.

Victorian B&B in the Western Cape!
Knysna Manor House is, as its name suggests, an old Victorian house that has been converted into a bed and breakfast. The owners greeted me warmly and showed me to my room, a huge double on the first floor with a partial view of the Knysna Lagoon. The room was very comfortable and breakfast, served on the verandah, was excellent. It was a 10 minute comfortable walk down to the Lagoon. I stayed only one night here but would have been happy to have stayed longer.
