Better than expected

Enjoyed the "homey" comfort of the unit. Appreciated all the amenities esp the complete kitchen! Have to say tho that the bed pillows probably need to be replaced soon. Also in describing the unit online, it would be helpful if it would've mentioned that it was an upper level unit, particularly for us seniors with some mobility issues.

Relaxing Getaway

Convenient location, perfect for watching the sunset
This location of this condo was great for exploring the Waimea Canyon, Koke'e State Park, and some really nice beaches. The kitchen was well-stocked and the closet had beach gear & towels available. There are some nice restaurants within walking distance. We had a wi-fi problem on our first day but the owner quickly worked to resolve the issue and we were up and running the next day.

Fantastic Space!
Bob's place is FANTASTIC! It was very clean and exactly as described with everything (and more) that we both needed and wanted for our 5 day stay. The air conditioner worked well and quickly cooled off the room. There was plenty of room for storing our clothes, shoes, cosmetics, etc. The kitchen was great... lots of room for prep and all appliances were nice and worked well. We also loved the shower... plenty of room and nice towels (including beach towels). Best of all, the location was perfect for accessing sites and beaches all around Kawaii. The condo complex is well-maintained with gorgeous trees and flowers, a beautiful pool, and easy access to garage parking. Our stay was simply wonderful and we will definitely attempt to rent Bob's place the next time we visit Kauai. We highly recommend this vacation home. You won't be sorry!

Charming Kuaui Condo
We appreciated all the extras in the condo such as beach chairs, towels & umbrella. We especially enjoyed jogging and our time on the beach. Breakfast on the patio was really nice.

Amazing
This condo was everything and more. Anything we could dream of needing was there: full kitchen with appliances, small appliances, bowls and even storage containers with lids and baking sheets. And of course the amazing body boards, beach chairs and umbrella, and even a beach bag and coolers to make the beach days effortlessly fun. I would definitely recommend this condo and would stay here again on a future trip to Kauai. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful property, location top notch
We arrived after 11:00 at night, exhausted and ready to fall into bed! Prince Kuhio was easy to find, our condo was easily accessible and the bed was a welcome site. The next morning we found our place had everything we would need to make our stay close to perfect. Will definitely stay here again! Mahalo 🌴🌺

The studio fit our need of a place to stay while we explored the island. Parking was tight in the garage for our rental jeep. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes - way more than 2 people needed.

Overall a great place to stay.
Condo was clean and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable. The gardens were beautiful. There was some signs of wear and tear. Some chips in floor tile and wall paint, but, nothing off-putting. The only real negative was the spotty wifi. A hot tub would have been nice to have but, again, not a big deal. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nice Location
We really liked what we called "Home" for 3 weeks. It was very spacious , nice layout. Only downside was the beach across the road was not very big, but we found other beaches we enjoyed. For warning between 6:00-6:30 pm some kind of bird come home for the night , they are very noisy , we kind of got use to them , then 6:30-7:00am they would leave. We really enjoyed our stay.

Exactly what we wanted
We absolutely loved this space. We loved the south side of the island, and this location was perfect - multiple close options for food, easy beach access, beautiful pool, nice kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

Kauai garden property across from beach
We enjoyed our large efficiency condo. It was secluded on the second floor overlooking lush landscape and pool just as described. Very well stocked kitchen and beach towels and chairs and coolers etc. Only suggestion is to have cleaners dust mop under bed and headboard, and move the two chairs with ottomans and clean better. Just a little more cleaner effort would make it 5 star. Beach access right across the street. We really enjoyed our stay. Condo property laundry a bit expensive but nice clean facility. Would stay here again. Mahalo and Aloha

Excellent!
As great as described in the accurate listing. Excellent location, can walk to Baby Beach for great snorkeling in about 5 minutes. Gorgeous landscaping and amazing, usually empty pool. This particular room overlooks the pool and is right by the stairs so you can keep an eye on it and jump in whenever you want. Backs up to the Lawai Beach Resort which was FULL of loud and obnoxious douchebags (our friends were staying over there so we got to experience that, too) BUT you cannot hear any of that from the serenity of the Prince Kuhio. Very quiet, calm, respectful families and couples at the Kuhio! Just a wonderful retreat. Easy parking to boot. Book this room - you won't regret it!

Good stay
It is a very well stocked and located place. Near all the fun spots in Poipu. Bed and mattress could be more comfortable and the space looks smaller than it is due to all the big furniture but outside of that very good stay. Do park on the parking lot as per instructions. Much closer to the unit that is all the way on the back of the complex. Just a tip for other coming to the island. If you have a Costco card bring it. The cheapest place for Food and gas in the island

Great location to use as home base while exploring Kauai
We really enjoyed staying at this location in Koloa/Poipu on Kauai. I like the "drier" side of the islands and the weather was great. Would recommend this to people looking for a nice and affordable place to stay in Kauai.

Beautiful studio by the beach
Property was clean and well stocked with utensils. Well laid out floor plan provides plenty of space for 2 people. Centrally located to beaches, restaurants, a grocery store, shopping and sites like Spouting Horn. The A/C unit was definitely a pleasant surprise.

Absolutely great!
Absolutely great! The property owner thinks of everything you need for a great Hawaiian vacation. I read the reviews before I booked. One said something like, “just do it, you won’t regret it.” So we did! We just loved our stay. Great location to see Waimea Canyon and to do a Helicopter tour and a sunset dinner cruise (but book that in advance - they sell out.) Comfortable bed. AC really cranks - not a crappy window unit but wall unit professionally installed. It’s a studio but very roomy and totally upgraded. We thought the pool was actually heated but just warm from the sun. It was July however so thank God for the AC. Parking was easy. Cool restaurant across the street and shopping centers nearby. We got some fresh Ahi Tuna and grilled it by the pool. Snorkel beach across the street is nice but very rocky. Balcony is about two feet too narrow but still able to have dinner outside. Worth every penny.

Great studio near the beach!
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this unit. It was exceptionally clean, and had all the amenities we needed. There is a great beach for snorkeling just a couple of minutes walk away, and we loved watching the sunset there during our stay. The arrival of the parakeets every evening at dusk was a sight to behold, and we loved seeing them settle into the palm trees in the complex. Unit was as described, no problems or complaints. Book this unit, you will be glad you did!

This is a very nice place and the entire property was lovely and quiet. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We loved the location - so convenient particularly for snorkeling at Lawa’i Beach and walking to restaurants and shops at Kukui’ula outdoor mall.

Great location, comfortable studio
Great spot across from the shore, well equipped with kitchen and even activity gear like beach chairs and snorkel stuff. The property garden is amazing, with a nice pool. A nightly visit from parakeets is really cool, but careful parking under their palm trees! Our car was decorated for the weekend. Overall a great base for exploring kauai.

Perfect stay in Poipu
My husband and I really enjoying staying in his condo, it had everything we needed and the location was perfect! The Prince Kuhio property is well maintained and I like how it is a smaller community with access to the pool, BBQs, and laundry. The unit was well kept and stocked, which was great because we like to cook a lot of meals even on vacation. It was awesome to walk right across the street to snorkel in Lawai, and Poipu Beach was just 2 minutes away with great snorkeling as well. The location was also ideal for seeking out other great beaches nearby and our adventures hiking in Waimea and Koke’e. We highly recommend staying here!

Great condo with all amenities
This is a great place to stay and centrally located in the SUNNY south side of Kauai. Condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Remodel is tasteful with a very quiet NEW air conditioner. Be aware that the kitchen and bath hardware are installed a little poorly- don't tug on the kitchen facet and be careful with the shower handle. Other than that- a great place- would for sure stay again!

Awesome studio for two, close to everything in Poipu
We had a great time at this awesome studio condo, very comfortable and clean. Ocean was truly across the street and has great snorkeling. We used the beach toys and cooler for our adventures out in Kauai. Restaurants were close in the two shopping areas close to the condo. Internet worked great and was easy to log onto. My wife loved having her morning coffee on the lanai that overlooks the gardens and pool. We are already planning to return to Kauai and this condo next summer. Great Place Bob !!!

Typical Condo but good location
Condo is in a good location, near Poipu Beach. It had all the necessary features, kitchen, shower. The balcony was small and the beach chairs and boogy boards need replacement. We were not able to connect to the internet. The internet connection instructions in the condo and the email sent beforehand were different and neither worked.

Perfect Paradise
Everything at Poipu met or exceeded our expectations. It was a shame we had to leave so soon. The condo was comfortable (particularly the bed), well equipped (in the kitchen and for the beach), and in a good location near the beach (with great snorkeling). The only thing we needed was more shampoo (one small container lasted one day only). Not a big deal but when you swim in the ocean every day, you need extra. The Parakeets that came every evening were interesting. We were very intrigued. Now that I'm home, I miss the sound of them coming every evening. We also miss the roosters. Unfortunately we never used the swimming pool so I can't comment on it although it looked very inviting. We dined on the lanai every morning and evening - even when it rained because we didn't get wet although most days it was sunny. Everyone in the building was very friendly and it was a good atmosphere.

Lovely place in a lovely place!
The condo unit was just as described, even better. We ate breakfast every morning on the balcony with a lovely view of the pool through the lush vegetation. The unit was clean and well equipped! Communication from the owner was excellent. Quick responses and even a call to talk in person to set up and confirm the reservation, and answer questions. We thought it was a great location to explore the south end of the island. We were able to walk (1/2 mile) to a shopping center with shops and restaurants and enjoyed the Wednesday evening market. We'd stay here again!

Wonderful condo unit a short walk from the beach
The beach across the street from the condo complex was small and rocky which didn't look too inviting at first, then we put on our snorkel gear and the world changed. More colorful fish swimming about than I've seen in Big Island or Maui! Even though it was windy and the swell was pretty high, the cove has a protective outer reef that keeps visibility high in the cove. If you like snorkeling, you have to go here. If you want a big sandy beach, then Po'ipu beach is a short ride away. We also saw a number of the endangered monk seals lounging on the sand at our little snorkel beach and at Po'ipu. A few tips for fellow travelers: - you need to get a small parking pass from the office. it is open 24-7 and located just pass the end of the parking lot. - the wifi SSID and password has changed from the direction book. Look on the wifi unit under the TV console to get it. - the unit is on the 2nd floor about 1/2 way down the length of the complex. you walk up then turn left and it's the first unit on the left
