This was definitely one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed in. It has the comforts of a modern, newly constructed hotel, yet somehow you feel like you're staying in a traditional ryokan from the 1500s.
The staff are overwhelmingly attentive, sincere and helpful, and every detail was accounted for.
We stayed in August during a tropical storm, and had such a relaxing time reading in the tea room, listening to the rain fall in the traditional Japanese garden.... and of course relaxing in the private, wooden Japanese bath.
Best for couples, since it's a quiet, relaxing place.
