Restful Retreat
Loved the property. Very nice way to relax after a day of driving. Geese & ducks are hatching their young on the river. Was cool to listen to them speak to each other. Unusual layout, but it works!! Beds were comfortable, furnace heating was amazing. The house behind the property made us uneasy, but we kept to ourselves. I think you should own more properties for rental if you can. God Bless. RELAX AND FISH!
My husband and his brothers stayed here for a week. My husband said I couldn't have picked a better spot for them! They were surrounded by water and quiet! They fished the hearts out.

Birthday get away with sisters and husbands.
Scenic location with great view of the river and much wildlife. Nice place, clean and great for gathering. Only draw back is the surrounding properties are a mess.

Thank you for the kind review. You are correct that the only other property on our dead end road (where Klondike bridge is) has gathered alot of broken down vehicles unfortunately. The City of Larchwood is working to get the owners to clean their junk out of there. Thank you for staying.

New Year’s Eve getaway
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin for New Year’s Eve with our teenagers. The privacy of the property was nice and the scenery was even better, we got a surprise visit from an eagle. We took advantage of the hot tub even though it was cold out and we liked that shopping wasn’t too far away. Thank you for having us, we hope to stay again in the summer sometime!

Even better than depicted online!
My family spent the Thanksgiving holiday at this cabin. It was decorated so beautifully with autumn/Thanksgiving decor which was a wonderful, unexpected touch of home. It was a perfect size for the 6 of us and we really enjoyed the hot tub! This cabin was so cozy and inviting! So much more than we expected. Great location as well. You felt like you were in your own world, but the towns and are only a few mins drive away. I highly recommend this cabin for a lovely, relaxing time.

Gem above the river
The property was everything advertised and more. We used it as a base camp to explore four states. It gave a frontier atmosphere with with all the modern features and comforts of home. We loved our time spent there.

Working vacation
Even though we worked remotely part of the time, the location of the house was perfect. Tge views from inside and out are beautiful. Listening to the river & nature was truly relaxing. Cabin is remote enough to offer privacy but close to anything you may need or want to do.

A little peace and quiet
We were so happy with our stay at the Larchwood Cabin. The sunsets were absolutely amazing and the thunderstorm on our last night on the deck was a little slice of heaven. Everything was clean and tidy. We were able to have breakfast in Minnesota and lunch in Iowa and dinner in South Dakota - it is so close to everything! Already planning another stay soon!!

Wonderful get away stay!

Loved this cabin
This cabin didn't disappoint! Although it seems isolated, it is actually very close to many attractions. We enjoyed Sioux Falls which was an easy, just less than 30 minute drive. Also, the arboretum, casino, dairy farm, winery, and state parks all very close. It was so beautiful and peaceful sitting on the deck or patio watching birds and listening to the rapids. GREAT place for our annual sister trip!!

Great overflow lodging for annual family event
This house was great overflow lodging for our annual family event just 5 miles away. Beds were very comfortable. We didn't get an opportunity to enjoy the hot tub, but can imagine how relaxing an evening in the hot tub would have been. We fit our two large SUVs in the garage just fine. Thank you, Vickie!

Family winter weekend
We take a short family trip each winter. The cabin was beautiful along with the large windows overlooking the river. We were able to see many eagles from the warmth of the cabin. The gas stoves made it extra cozy as the temperatures outside dropped. We enjoyed using the hot tub and playing games. This was a great spot to enjoy family time.

Fantastic, peaceful place
This was our 2nd time staying at this property. We love the quiet peacefulness of it. It's perfect for getting away from it all! We celebrated our family Christmas, traveling from 3 different areas and this is a great central location. The kids and adults alike all loved being out on the deck and enjoying the sound of the river below as well as going on walks on the quiet roads. We did take a short couple mile trip down the road to the creamery for delicious ice cream and seeing the farm! I highly recommend booking this and look forward to stayng here again.

Beautiful views
My wife and I stayed for three days and absolutely loved every minute of it. We loved spending time in the hot tub and looking at the wildlife on the frozen river below. The inside of the cabin was also very beautiful. It was decorated for the Christmas season and had everything we needed.

Christmas Getaway
Our son lives in Rapid City and we live in the Twin Cities so were looking for a location in between. This worked great. Loved the hot tub. Had issues with the downstairs stove -- we never did get it to work, which would have been nice, since it was very cold our first two nights. Could have used a bit more lighting and comfy chairs for reading -- we are all readers. But, overall it worked well and was convenient to Sioux Falls. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

girls Christmas getaway
This is a lovely location. The views and wildlife were awesome. We saw deer and the eagles were soaring. Hosts were very accommodating and decorated the house for us for Christmas. Wifi was excellent. The beds were good, and the hottub was a wonderful bonus. Only problem we had was using the tv's/dvd. Would be helpful to have some detailed directions for us smart tv challenged folks. Thanks for everything

My cousins and I stayed here for a weekend away. It was just the right size and it was a perfect location to be able to just chill. We enjoyed the views from the decks as well! Would recommend this location to others.

Weekend getaway
I was looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful scenery, and we found it. House is well stocked with everything you might nees. Tvs took about 4 of us to figure out, we wanted to watch a ball game on Saturday, big tv and comfortable seating. There were 6 of us. The lower level was good if you needed a time out from the group. Hot tub was huge. The deck would of been wonderful in warmer weather. I would stay again. Lots of people fishing on the river for as cool as it was, talked to a guy on the bridge that said he caught a couple of small catfish. Even with the rivers being low, plenty of water was flowing. We went up and looked at the falls, and to the devils gulch, very beautiful, plenty of restaurants nearby within 20 minutes.

Weekend Retreat
Wonderful weekend away. Beautiful country next to the river. We enjoyed the sounds and view of water rapids, saw several deer from the upper deck, toured the local dairy, and visited the local brewery. Great country location with the opportunity to make a short trip into Sioux Falls.

Quick Family Vacation
We loved our 2 night stay at your cabin. The beautiful view of the river and constant calming noise it provided was soothing morning and night. Our children loved exploring the nearby bridge and riverbed. It had plenty of space for the 6 of use to be able to spread out and relax. Would definitely look at booking again!

Wonderful cabin on the river
All of the amenities were wonderful with a very clean and beautiful property. The view was incredible and it was just awesome to get to sit in the hot tub overlooking the river. Very concurrently located close to Sioux Falls but so close as to feel cramped.

Peace and Tranquility
The house and location were perfect. We were looking for a place to relax and visit with family and the property was perfect. From the stunning river views, to the spacious living areas, and the relaxing hot tub, the stay was great. Far enough out in the country to unwind but close enough to town and things to do to strike the right balance. Would definitely stay here again!

We were a party of 5 adults and we all had a fabulous time. I met Mark on check-in and spoke with Vickle. They are both very nice and easy to get in contact with if you need them. They take great pride in their rental home and keep things safe, in working order and up to date. We rent homes now to travel around and this place was immaculately clean and had all the amenities that we needed. It was big enough to find space to just break away from others for a while. They provide 3 televisions and there is a couch and table in the basement. We spent most of our time on the upper & lower deck. The rushing water over the dam on the Sioux River was so calming. We spotted several birds, squirrels, deer and beavers busy in their own habitat. There were plenty of chairs for us to sit and a table on the upper deck to eat on. The lower deck has a hot tub that was clean and had powerful jets for weary bones. They provide instructions and chemicals for your safety. Even on warm days it was cooling and quite relaxing. There are also plenty of chairs on the lower deck. The landscaping around the home is red rocks & wood. I believe they are in the process of putting in a fire pit. There is a two stall garage available for parking. Fishing and public access to the river is only a couple blocks away. We caught Carp, Gar, Catfish and turtles. We always catch and release so it was fun. This was just what we needed for vacation and look forward to renting again!

Perfect weekend getaway!
Friends for 17 years and this was our first getaway trip together. We wanted a peaceful place in the “middle of nowhere” and this was perfect! We loved it so much that we decided to make it an annual trip! My favorite part was drinking coffee on the deck, listening to the rapids, and photographing the several birds that stopped near by!

Great cabin!
It was our second time staying here and we loved it again! The cabin is so comfortable and the river is a beautiful view. The deck is a nice quiet spot to enjoy a morning and the hot tub is a great way to end the day.
