Could not get over the view. The resort was gorgeous and the balcony showed it all including the beach. The room was basic but fit our needs. Plenty of towels for the two of us for beach and home. The pool and hot tub were great. The beach on the property was not great. Not for swimming, but nice to walk down and listen to from our room. Did not love the resort daily parking fee. It was as much as our car rental and because the property was secluded you had to pay it. Location was great tho. Right in the middle less than an hour from north or south beach and so much food and shopping close by. The host was nice, would book again.

The dining menu is limited at the resort. Only ate dinner once, as the food was mediocre. Pool, and hot tub were clean. Beach around resort was a nice introduction to island.

Resort is great Not the room!
Independent owner of the room we stayed in left a lot to be desired. Slider very hard to close almost if the handle was going to snap off. Bath fixtures rusted. Constant drip from the shower which could be heard in bed. Very very dated! Resort itself was excellent and the food was very good!

Perfect spot for a relaxing vacation
Location was excellent. Halfway from Poipu and halfway from Princeville. Resort was awesome! Room was perfect. Owner is easy to communicate with and makes sure your vacation is relaxing and enjoyable. I would most definitely stay in this unit again when I come back.

Less than basic room
This room is as BASIC as BASIC gets. The room is extremely small for 2 people. There are not any extra towels, sheets, pillows, or blankets. Owner only provides 3 towels and 1 set of bed sheets for a week stay. If you are looking for some place to put your head at night this is it! Do not expect anything above and beyond that. The room has zero amenities for beach use. If you plan to go to the beach bring everything from home you will need or you will have to rent it. We left a day early due to the fact we couldn’t get any clean towels without having to pay an additional fee to the owner. We asked housekeeping if they could assist and they flat out refused to any small request. Moved to a different condo for about the same cost and have a 1 bed 1 bath condo. With an ocean view. Yes the room does have an ocean view but the beach is not a relaxing swimming beach. The bed was ok but moved very easily. The shower dripped consistently and would not turn off. There was no broom or dust mop to clean up any sand. The resort is pretty and well kept the food was ok. I felt as if the staff treated you differently if you rented through a private owner as you receive different color wrist bands to differentiate between a resort guest or a renter. Overall if you are looking for a nice vacation please keep looking. We stayed over Christmas week and wish I would have gone to Maui like we usually do. We thought we would give the island a try. The island is very pretty with tons to see if you can get there without any traffic. Oh and don’t expect any gourmet meals on the island or the resort.

I am so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the unit, the resort, or Kauai. This island, though beautiful, is smaller and quieter than its neighbors and therefore may not appeal to all travelers. As I listed in my AD, this unit is a 320 SQFT hotel studio and is good for 2 persons. I do provide 3 complete set of bath towels in addition to 3 beach towels for the stay. If you need to replace the towels, the cleaning team will replace them, hence the fee. I do provide a one time complimentary mid clean for guest staying 7 days and over. Due to the size of the studio, there is no space to store beach amenities, but there are plenty of places to rent from. I will be happy to provide recommendations. I have reported the shower dripping to the hotel and they will look into it. Thank you for raising this issue.

Excellent Stay
We totally enjoyed our stay. The resort was beautiful and well kept. The room was clean and comfortable and the view from the lanai was terrific. We enjoyed the pool and beach area. It’s not a swimming beach but it’s beautiful nonetheless. We didn’t try the on-site restaurant or grill. There was a remodel underway in the adjacent wing of the building, but the crew did an excellent job keeping the area clean and we were never bothered by byte sound of their working. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Room at Beach Resort
A standard hotel room at the beach resort. Clean and functioning well. Furniture was a bit haphazard, light bulbs of various colors, not enough soap or towels for this duration of a stay and no mid-stay cleaning was offered.

For a few dollars more additional ammenities could be provided. One pack of cofee for 6 day stay. No microwave (probably hotel policy) $25 per day parking could have been advised at booking. A/C was all the way on or off. Caught a miserable head cold. This is my 9th stay on the Island and probably my least enjoyed. However, view was exceptiknal. If looking for simple hotel room this property fits the bill.

Spectacular View in a Hidden Gem of a Resort
The clean room, beautiful view, and wonderful resort amenities are enough to make this a five star stay. But, on top of that, Nancy was very communicative and accommodating. It was an unforgettable stay with an even better host. Will be back again!

Beautiful Stay
This property was amazing, the view was tremendous from the balcony, the grounds were incredibly beautiful. They had excellent staff there who were extremely friendly and helpful. We made some friends around the grounds, who gave us alot of advice on places to see around the island. As for the room it was in great shape, comfortable and relaxing. We would definitely rent again here, Thanks Nancy.

A great unit at a great price
This unit was great. An awesome room in a really nice resort at a great price. From the lanai, you get a fantastic view of the resort with plenty of ocean behind it. The pictures are very true to how the room looks. Check in was easy and we loved the resort. If I had to nitpick, the mattress was a tad soft with some noticeable motion transfer and the unit needs a few tiny cosmetic fixes, but you cant beat the price, the place and the view. We had such a great time. I'd definitely book here again. Sorry to go around in circles but I don't really have any bad things to say. This is a great unit.

Beautiful and fun resort
The pool, music and drinks were great. The information desk was very informative. The microwave was on a different floor, so my knee wish was that it was in the room itself. Besides that we had an amazing time. Thank you!

Fantastic spot!

great communication with host, great balcony view, perfect home base for us to explore both ends of the island. as noted in description microwave is up one floor. fridge is big for hotel room style. covered parking is a +, we would stay again.

Excellent stay
This rental is exactly as advertised...a 4th floor ocean view hotel room overlooking the pools and the ocean beyond at a small resort near the airport. The property was clean and well kept. The staff was very nice and friendly. The amenities were great...clean and attractive pools, poolside bar, a looooong scenic beach for walking. The bedding was very comfortable and the decor was modern and attractive. My only complaint is that there is some kind of machinery (a/c, generator?) attached to the building that is really loud from the balcony during the middle of the day. More reason to go out to the pool, where it is not noticeable. Location is great for catching a flight. A little long to food and drink but not terrible. I would stay here again.

Kauai Beach Resort
Give the place a 98 out of 100. Great view from balcony. Grounds have 4 pools and 2 jacuzzis, all with nice vegetation. No other buildings close by so can walk beach along golf course all to your self. The only negatives; beach is not very swimable and noise level from hallway doors closing seemed high. All-in-all I would stay there again and recommend to others.

Located near Lihue for shopping supplies and near east side for restaurants and beaches. Great staff and well kept grounds. Three nice pools and pleny of lounge chairs for sunning.

Beautiful spot
We enjoyed our stay very much. The room and property was great. The beach here isn't swimable (which we knew before) and the pools aren't heated so the water is surprisingly cold! We didn't spend much time here during the day but enjoyed it as our home-base for 4 nights. Happy hour at Shutters has good light dinner options. Beautiful sunrises from the room/beach.

Great property close to Kapa'a
Nancy was very prompt with all communications and the unit was as advertised overlooking the pool area and the ocean beyond. The room was comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room. This is very nice resort with good amenities and it has a beautiful pool area and good access to the beach. You will definitely need a vehicle if you want to go anywhere as there is nothing within walking distance.

Hawaiian Christmas Vacation
The view could not be beat. The food at the resort was not good. We had one good meal out or many tries, and when you don't really want to drive anywhere, you are limited to the hotel food. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice to have laundry on the property. The unit could use updating, but the property was as advertised. It suited our needs and we really loved the beauty of the island. It is peaceful there.

Kauai Beach Resort highly recommended.
We would highly recommend staying at the Kauai Beach Resort. The resort location is centrally located, very close to the airport, lots of nice beaches minutes away to the north and south. We have nothing negative to report, we are easy going people though. Honestly we were only in our room to sleep and shower. This is a regular room with a great view, comfortable bed and nice shower. If you want a condo setup then look elsewhere. We compared other resorts while we were here and nothing was as nice and inviting as Kauai Beach Resort. The parking is nice because it’s covered, you can park yourself or have one of the nice valet drivers park your car. We rented a Jeep (only we to go) and we’re able to keep the top off at night thanks to the covered parking. If your planning a trip, make sure you set aside 10 days minimum. There is so much to see and do that you will be disappointed if you stay for less. If your looking at other rooms at this resort, make sure you pick a room with a view. Our room, 2416 decodes as building 2, fourth floor room 16. Hope this review helped, enjoy Kauai.

Beautiful view from room!
We enjoyed our stay. The room was fine and the view was amazing! The room could use a few updates like a new comforter on the bed and a few items that would be nice to have like a small supply of eating items (couple plates, bowls, silverware, and wine opener). The resort grounds were well maintained and the restaurants were all very good with nightly music in the lounge. We had a great time!

Repairs needed
I was disappointed that a few repairs looked like they have been needed for a while. The light in the bathroom was broken and the housekeeper said it had been that way. Also, the cabinet where the fridge is located was also broken (at the hinge). In addition, there were weird bugs we kept finding near the fridge too. I think the room needs a bit of attention although the resort itself was great.

I have blocked the unit from 7/23 to 7/27 for maintenance and pest control treatment after you have checked out. Now the unit is all looks good. Thanks for point these out for me.

Great location
The location of this rental is great, with pool and beach view. The unit itself needs some maintenance. I’m not sure if this is a unit issue, or resort issues, or even maybe something common in Kauai - but we found minor bug issues, which was addressed with Nancy and we received a prompt response within a couple hours.

I am glad that you like the location and the view of the unit. Sorry for the bug issue. The weather is very hot and humid in Kauai July. If the screen door happen to open, the bug will easily fly inside. The resort did spray twice a year for pest control. After you departure, I called for throughly pest treatment again.

Perfect Spot
This was a perfect spot for what we were looking for. My husband and I wanted a spot in between north and south shore. It was easy to get to and the room was a perfect view of the ocean. We did not spend much time at the resort since we wanted to explore. The listing was very accurate. The coffee machine gave us some trouble a couple days, it seemed like it has to be cleaned out. There was no gaming system unlike the photos (but that wasn't an issue for us).

Best honeymoon ever
Stayed here for our honeymoon and it was unreal. The wife was totally surprised and amazed at how awesome this place was. I definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance. Price was great, room was great, resort was great. Over all 10/10 experience!

We had such a great time! The views and the amenities were wonderful! We did wish there were a few utensil like items there. Maybe a wine opener, or a spoon for coffee creamer?? (just a small miner suggestion :) We loved it and would gladly recommend this amazing place!!!

This room was located on the East side of the island in a fantastic beach side resort. The staff was incredibly friendly and we had all the amenities we needed. There were just a couple of general maintenance issues, but the owner reported them to be fixed for the next guests. Great central location for for River Tubing, Snorkeling and Kilohana Plantation Luau.

Gorgeous ocean-front luxury stay
This was a beautiful place to stay for our anniversary trip! The island itself was absolutely breath-taking! The room was comfortable, clean, and had an amazing view of the ocean. We fell asleep listening to the ocean waves and woke up to the rooster's crow at dawn. (This could have been avoided if we closed the windows, but we didn't mind.) The room had a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot- just what we needed. It also had a medium-sized cooler to take to the beach (though we used our own) and it had two snorkeling sets! Since the room was rented by owner and not through the resort, we could not use the shuttle service from the airport to the resort. We liked having our own rental car anyway, though the parking was $25/night. The location on the island ended up being perfect because we only had two full days to explore the island. This resort is right in the middle- we explored the southern part of the island one day and the north the other.
