Infissi vecchi e aria che entra dalle finestre la notte, stanze piccole, ma ci hanno subito cambiato stanza grazie ad una gentilissima ragazza Italiana alla reception, avrei messo cinque solo per lei, di una cortesia e premura degna di nota. Anche il resto del personale è sempre stato molto gentile e disponibile, l’hotel è un po’ datato ma si trova in una posizione ottima vicino alla stazione di paddington e la zona è veramente molto bella.

Viaggiavo da solo ed ho prenotato per sette notti pagando circa € 215 a notte, senza colazione. All’arrivo alla reception ti offrono un bicchierino di succo di frutta come benvenuto; poi ti dicono come raggiungere la tua camera singola de luxe prenotata che si trova su un piano ammezzato; devi percorrere da solo, senza nessun dello staff che ti guidi nel percorso una serie di corridoi, salendo anche una piccola rampa di scala con il peso dei bagagli. Quando apri la porta della camera non puoi credere ai tuoi occhi: è piccola, lillipuziana, forse 5 metri quadri, con un condizionatore sopra la testiera del letto che chiaramente tieni spento; la valigia non sai dove aprirla o poggiarla, l’armadio è piccolo, la moquette non dà l’idea di essere pulita, le tende sono sporche ed impolverate alla grande, l’affaccio è su una palazzina di fronte a 4/5 metri dalla tua finestra con pareti scrostate; il copriletto è leggero e non c’è altro per coprirsi; insonorizzazione insufficiente, nessun frigorifero; lavabo del bagno di dimensioni ridotte al punto che se vuoi lavarti la faccia, l’acqua cade per terra. Alla fine del soggiorno a me che avevo pagato in anticipo non hanno dato neppure la ricevuta. Att.ne si chiama Park Grand London Hyde Park, ma di grande non c’è niente e non è vicino Hyde Park ma è a Paddington; l’unico aspetto positivo e che la fermata dell’underground è vicina. Per quello che ho pagato mi sento turlupinato. Mai più !

Sono rimasto soddisfatto solo del personale alla reception.Loro erano gentili e disponibili. La stanza è pessima, vecchia, il letto è scomodo, c'erano dei gradini nella stanza, pericoloso, il bagno è molto piccolo. La finestra non si chiudeva bene, soffiava il vento. l'ascensore saliva al 6° piano, la camera era al 7° piano, dovevamo portare due grandi valigie su per la scala stretta,tortuosa e puzzolente. Un albergo così (per me una stella) abbiamo pagato per un notte circa 250€, siamo rimasti 4 notti.

Location, location, location! Stuff is friendly and accommodating. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Only concern was the size of the room. In case you are an over 6 feet couple, you might consider another option. No space for baggage in the room, we had to keep our stuff on the bed. Relatively, small bed for two tall people. Ok, for overnight but not for a long stay.

The property was convenient for Paddington station and local restaurants. The staff were excellent. The hotel room was small enough but the bathroom, at a total length of 5ft 6" and narrow enough to bang ones elbows against the shower cubicle on one side of the sink and the wall on the other, was claustrophobic.

Bathroom and room was clean and dustfree. But there were many stains and scratches on walls that really ought to come off if tried. So quite worn out room and furniture but definitly clean. Comfortable bed. Free Coffee and tea, fridge. Excellent staff. Superfriendly and helpful. Good location near Paddington station.
