ottimo albergo nella City
L'albergo è molto lussuoso, il personale cordiale ed efficiente, la camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato mia moglie ed io (standard) forse un po' piccola ma molto confortevole. Il prezzo è nella media degli hotel di questa categoria, anzi forse addirittura conveniente. C'è un gastropub annesso all'hotel e anche un ristorante. Mentre però il pub era sempre pieno, nel ristorante non ho visto nessun cliente (abbiamo soggiornato due notti). La vista dalla camera era deludente perché dava su un muro adiacente e anche la finestra era molto piccola. In definitiva, comunque, un albergo senz'altro molto buono e consigliabile.

TRUE LONDON.
albergo confortevole in una zona di Londra decisamente fuori dai soliti schemi ma molto giovane e dinamica. Nei pressi dell'hotel ci sono deliziosi mercatini, dell'ottimo street-food e moltissimi giovani...un'esperienza veramente nuova..a parte ciò l'albergo è ben servito dai mezzi pubblici e le mete più tradizionali si raggiungono molto rapidamente.

week end a 5 stelle apparenti
Il fatto più importantante e irritante è avvenuto in fase di check in perché non hanno accettato la rta di credito virtuale appoggiata ad una carta prepagata né la stessa carta prepagata né le altre carte (bancomat a mia disposizione). In breve, mi hanno costretto ad andare ad effetuare un prelievo e a saldare in anticipo tutto cash. Credo che un hotel a 5 stelle non possa e non debba scadere in queste stupide richieste opergarantiste. Peraltro, la sera dopo sono andato a cena nel dining room dell'hotel e hanno accettato senza alcun problema la carta prepagata. Comunque la pulizia della camera era appena sufficeinte e lo spazio veramente angusto. Inoltre, le finestre erano bloccate (per ragioni di sicurezza) e il ricircolo dell'aria era effettuato solo tramite un aeratore elettrico (insufficeinte).

All in all it was good. But in daylight the room and furniture looked a bit jaded. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows and linen excellent. The bathroom was good. But parts of it needed maintenance. Reception and check in is across the road at the Montcalm Brewery. Would i stay at The Barbican Rooms again? Yes.

This hotel is in the best location for the Barbican and has a historic charm to the building. Our room had a few broken tiles in the bathroom which were a danger and the laminate on the bathroom furniture was peeling and in need of being replaced. Staff were all so very good

A convenient stay when visiting the Barbican

Lovely staff, room was less than expected
The staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome, the room was nicely cleaned and prepared. However, the room had a broken charging port, some light switches weren’t working and the bathroom didn’t have much ventilation. There was also a fire alarm at 2:30 in the morning which seemed to be an accident.

Adequate stay
Entry is via the brewery gates, reception staff were lovely, I was taken to my room right above the pub on the corner. I was worried about noise levels but this wasn't an issue. The room was very cold, the air con was on 26 but seemed to blow out cold air. I experimented with it, even turning it off but it never improved. So much so I was either under the duvet or in the bathroom with the underfloor heating and I generally don't feel the cold. Room was very large but very dated furniture - not 5 star

Check in for the Barbican Rooms is across the street in the Montcalm Brewary. And I was actually put in the Brewary which was fine. Average stay. Did what it needed for 1 night business trip. Was a bit tired and dated but was clean and staff were friendly. I never visited restaurant or gym so cant comment.

Great location and friendly staff. The room and bathroom were a really good size however I think that they placed us in a room at Montcalm The Brewery, rather than at the Barbican rooms. The only thing I will say is that we were on the bottom floor and there was no blind on the bathroom window. Even though it was frosted glass, it still didn’t feel completely private! Other than that we had a good stay.

The reception and the rooms are located to the opposite of the street as shown on the website. I got an upgrade at the reception and the room was lovely and cosy. The noise on the street was very noticable but it didn't impact my sleep much. Overall it was a lovely stay.

I booked a room at the Barbican Rooms but when I arrived was directed to a room in the group's other hotel The Montcalm at the Brewery. The ataff were welcoming and pleasant but the room was small and slightly shabby and had a broken loo seat, noisy air conditioning and dirty grouting in the bathroom. It served my purposes as a ladt minute place to sleep and shower the next day but I wouldn't recommend it, particularly if paying the standard rates.

We were asked to check in over the road at the Montcalm Brewery hotel Andi stead of bring taken to Barbican Rooms we were taken to a room in the Montcalm with no explanation. We moved room once due to noise. Staff were helpful. Huwver this was not the hotel we booked, it was cheaper and less well reviewed and we wouldn't have chosen to stay there. I raised the issue with hotels.com on the day but they said as they were unable to get through to Barbican rooms on the phone they wouldn't be doing anything about it. Really disappointing.

Easy to get to. Nice, clean room with slippers and tea facilities (including herbal which is great as I don't drink regular tea or coffee). Also lot's of useful hotel stuff like sewing kit, iron, umbrella to borrow etc. I can't provide a review for the actual Barbican rooms as I thought I had booked a room in the Barbican rooms but ended up in the Montcalm hotel and wasn't sure of the property rules etc, but without being able to compare to the other rooms, I was more than happy with this room.

The room was dirty and full of dust. The air conditioning was not working and it felt like being in a sauna. The bathroom is so small you can harly move. Will never be back.

Lovely hotel
We stayed in the main hotel. We were greeted by Alexandra at the reception. She was lovely and patient explaining to us where to go to get to our room. The hotel is nice,clean I would not say 5* but maybe a 4 very close to the underground.
