Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub
Wir waren erstmals auf Madeira und hatten einen schönen Urlaub. Das Objekt liegt verkehrsgünstig, sofern man einen PKW hat, ca. 20 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt. Fluglärm ist aber so gut wie nie zu vernehmen. Das Haus und der große Garten sind in einem guten bis sehr gutem Allgemeinzustand, etwas mehr gelüftet, insbesondere in den Schränken, könnte aber schon mal werden. Das einzige größere Manko ist die Wasserpumpe, die bei jedem kleinsten Verbrauch sofort vernehmlich anspringt. Ansonsten ist alles vorhanden. Sehr gute und reichhaltige Küchenausstattung, Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, Trockener, alles mit ausreichenden Vorrat an Reinigungsmitteln. Jede Menge Hand- und Badetücher, Kissen, Decken etc.. Selten ein so gut ausgestattetes Haus gehabt. Auch Brennholz ist reichlich vorhanden, wenn auch etwas nass (OK: es war Februar). Der große LED-TV empfängt leider keine deutschen Sender, aber das WLan ist stabil und leistungsstark genug, um zumindest ein Streaming vom TV-Programm zu gewährleisten. Nur dann noch nebenher im Internet surfen sollte man nicht, dann hakt es. Die Kommunikation mit Claudia war immer sehr freundlich und sie war für alle Fragen und Wünsche offen. Es gab am Anfang keine Liegestühle, eine kurze Nachfrage und am nächsten Tag hatten wir nagelneue Liegen bekommen. War wohl noch etwas früh im Jahr, aber ein paar mal konnte man schon ein paar Stunden in der Sonne verbringen. Alles in allem: gerne jederzeit wieder. Empfehlenswert.

Luxus, Stille, Natur, Service-Pur und alle Punkte der Insel schnell erreichbar
Ich bin allein gereist, im Dezember für 3 Wochen und hatte 2,5 Wochen schönstes Wetter. Angenehm überrascht hat mich die Gastgeberin und Agenturinhaberein, Claudia De Freitas, eine sehr warme, hilfsbereite, freundliche und fliessend Englisch und Portugiesisch sprechende Inselführerin. Sie respektiert sowohl den Wunsch des Gastes auf Rückgezogenheit, ist aber jederzeit bereit auch mitten in der Nacht zu helfen oder früh morgends von besonders schönen Aussichtspunkten den Sonnenaufgang zu zeigen. 3 mal ist Sie mir nachts zur Hilfe geeilt: Einmal hatte ich mich um 23:00 Uhr auf einer Strasse abseits der empfohlenen Route festgefahren und Sie kam mir zu Hilfe, Silvester habe ich morgends um 2 kein Taxi mehr erreichen können und Sie hat mich abgeholt, nach Rückgabe meine Fahrzeuges hat sie mich um 2 Uhr morgends zum Flughafen gefahren und einmal vor Sonnenaufgang abgeholt, um mit mir zum Aussichtspunkt zu fahren und den Sonnenaufgang aufzunehmen. Auch hat Sie mir sehr gute Restaurants und Inseloriginale gezeigt. Ohne diese Begleitung wäre der Urlaub nicht so wertvoll geworden. DANKE CLAUDIA ! Das Haus liegt auf einem wunderbaren, ruhigen Grundstück, ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und hat als Wohnraum einen großen (geschätzt >120m2), nur durch Raumteiler geteilten Raum mit Wohnzimmer, Essbereich und voll ausgestatteter Küche und ist sauber. Es ist direkt an eine Hauptstrasse angebunden, von der es sehr leicht ist sowohl den Santo de Serra Golf Club zu erreichen oder Santa Cruz. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen, auch wenn er kein Golf spielt, dort zu rasten oder nur einen Cafe zu geniessen. Die Aussicht auf die Bucht ist unbeschreiblich. Ich selbst habe Stunden mit dem Frühstück im Golfclub verbracht ohne zu spielen und habe das Meer an der Uferpromenade in Santa Cruz genossen. Porto Moniz, am anderen Ende der Insel habe ich, dank neuer Tunnel, innerhalb kürzester Zeit(< 2h) erreicht. Hier sollte man sich den Meerwasser Infinitipool, direkt in die Riffs gebaut, unterhalb der Gaststätte ORCA, unbedingt ansehen. Sowas habe ich noch nie gesehen. Auch die Weihnachtsbeleuchtung und das Festival in Funchal waren umwerfend. Ich habe das Feuerwerk von einem Katamaran aus gesehen. Von dort waren auch 15 voll beleuchtete Kreuzfahrtriesen, die ebenfalls vor Funchal lagen und das beleuchtete Funchal selbst eine fantastische Kulisse, die ich unter dem Sternenhimmel nie vergessen werde. Die Menschen sind liebenswert. Alles in Allem ein gelungener Urlaub.

Wonderful stay
This is a property where the photos actually don’t do it justice. Everything about it is amazing 😉 We loved our stay there. The house and location are perfect. We could not have asked for more.

Sehr schöne Villa mit traumhaftem Garten
Wir waren 2 Wochen auf Madeira und haben die Zeit auf der fantastischen Insel sehr genossen. Die Villa ist genauso schön wie auf den Fotos und die Besitzerin Claudia war jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns hilfreiche Empfehlungen für Restaurants usw.gegeben.

Claudia heeft ons geweldig ontvangen en stond voor en tijdens ons verblijf voor ons klaar, erg fijn! Het is een prachtig groot huis met een erg mooie tuin in een rustige omgeving. We hebben er erg van genoten! Bedankt Claudia!

Großzügige Villa in idyllischem Garten
Zum Empfang standen schon Obst und Wein für uns bereit. Unsere Vermieterin Claudia war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie spricht perfekt Englisch, so dass die Kommunikation sehr unkompliziert war. Das Haus ist sauber, gepflegt und gut ausgestattet. In allen Bädern gab es Seife, Shampoo, Toilettenpapier und reichlich Handtücher. Erwähnenswert ist auch die bequeme Matratze in unserem Bett, auf der wir besser als auf unserer eigenen geschlafen haben. Aber das Beste war der wunderbare Garten! Nach langen Wanderungen oder Ausflügen nach Funchal haben wir uns immer gerne in den Garten gesetzt und einfach nur gelauscht: Wind in den Bäumen, Vogelzwitschern, Bienensummen.... einfach herrlich!!!

Spacious Villa in beautiful surroundings
We had a lovely stay in this very spacious villa. The Garden is equally beautiful and spacious which adds to the grandeur of the property. The Villa is very well equipped, and the hosts were very helpful and attentive to our making the best of our stay, and what to see and do in the area during our stay. Whilst the property seems to be quite high above the coast line, the location proved to be a very well situated to appreciate the rural aspect of Madiera close to the high peaks but yet only 20 minutes from a supermarket at Machico. The Sunday market at Santo Da Serra close to the property is not to be missed and was a star feature of our stay.

Another wonderful visit
Since our visit in December ( see review ) the wonderful Claudia continues to make investments in this extremely nice villa. We were only two but large groups will be very comfortable there. Maison et jardin très agréables et parfaitement bien situés sur l'île
L'accueil de la propriétaire, Claudia de Freitas a été parfait : elle a eu la gentillesse de venir nous chercher à l'aéroport, de nous conduire à un supermarché pour effectuer nos premières courses puis de nous emmener jusqu'à la maison. Cette dernière est très agréable et confortable et nous avons été agréablement surpris de constater qu'un certain nombre de services étaient prévus dans la location comme par exemple, thé, café, sucre, sel et quelques autres denrées ainsi qu'une pleine coupe de fruits. Dans les salles de bains, il y avait du savon, du shampoing, des serviettes et du papier toilette. Nous avons été très sensibles à ces attentions et avons particulièrement apprécié cet accueil. On se sentait "comme chez soi".

Lovely villa, lovely tropical garden and lovely owner
After all these years traveling, I’d say this villa is one of the best we’ve ever experienced. It’s clean and spacious and decorated with many arts elements. The garden is the most breathtaking part: full of tropical plants and flowers. It’s just so enjoyful by watching it under the sunshine. The villa is allocated a bit more upper hilled so few degrees less than downtown but you have then all the fresh air and peace. It’s only ard 15mins drive to the airport and easy to reach anywhere by car. After all, the owner is as charming as the lovely villa who has even driven us to the doctor due to our sick child during our stay. Thank you Claudia! And if we ever come back to Madeira, we’ll be with you again. :)

A comfortable spacious villa in a peaceful setting
This elegant villa is 3km from Santo da Serra and approximately 12km from the airport. Situated at around 500 metres the spacious and very private property is a great place to return to at the end of the day's activities. The villa is large, well-equipped and furnished, and very comfortable. There are local restaurants in Santo da Serra but it is well worth the short trip to beautiful Santa Cruz where there are excellent and very affordable places to eat. You will find many references to Claudia in other reviews. We have had many good experiences when renting homes in many parts of the world but Claudia is quite exceptional. She is a wonderful person and she went to considerable lengths to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Neil and Susan
