Everything was fine but there was a cockroach in the bathtub and so we didn’t want to take showers. We really needed showers and so felt we didn’t get our money’s worth.

You get what you pay for so there were no surprises with the room conditions and road noise being next to the main drag and a gas station. Easy to work with staff and if you're wanting to save some $ and do not have extremely high standards, this place can be for you!

The owner/operator was so friendly. But, the room we booked and prepaid for was not the room we got. He said our room had been destroyed by partiers. Since it was the highest level room we were downgraded to a very small room. Property needs updating very bad.

Switched last minute.
Room was good, beds are nice, shower has great pressure, the smoke odor was intense, that was the only thing. Also my booking room was switched when i got there, manager stated the toilet in original room was having issues,so he put use in another room. The room with intense cigarette smoke smell.

NOT 24HR FRONT DESK BEWARE IF YOUR LATE!!!
This place is advertised as a 24hr front desk, well beware it is not!! My husbands semi is in the ditch and roads are closed and so the highway patrol told him he needed to find a hotel and they will give him a ride to one. I booked this one for him because it says 24hr front desk. He was dropped off at 11:25pm and doors were locked and he was on foot now because the cop had to leave. I had to call the hotel and after several rings someone finally picked up and said they are closed but I’ll let him in, IT SAYS 24HR FRONT DESK!!! now it’s 10:00 am and he may need to book it another night if roads don’t open but the hotel doors are still locked!!! WTH if your 24hrs unlock the damn doors or don’t advertise your 24hrs!!! I would have been so mad if they didn’t finally answer the phone last night because he would have been stranded outside in a storm with no other hotels near by and no ride. So beware this hotel is very limited in front desk hours, go to a bigger chain hotel if your going to be doing business late at night or on a weekend

It was very clean,friendly management, big comfortable room, great television and programming, lots of hot water in the shower, the beds were OK, and we didn’t even find any bedbugs. Would definitely stay there again! Overall a great hotel/motel. OK

Okay for 1 night stay
Motel was OK for a 1 night stay. The bathroom sink was not cleaned. The owner apologized and said he had a new cleaning lady. He promptly cleaned the sink himself and brought some decent bath towels.

Highlight of my weekend
I stayed here because it was the closest hotel to the Subaru dealership and needed my car serviced. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly everyone was, especially compared to the previous hotel I had stayed at. The room itself was clean and provided the basic amenities to make the stay comfortable. After having a crappy weekend, this was a highlight for me!

Brilliant
North Country Inn, Mandan ND We stayed for 2 nights covering July 4th and rate this motel very high for the friendliness and welcoming of the proprietor Mr Patel; its location on Main Street was perfect for the July 4th Main Street Parade (passing directly outside) and other Main Street facilities. The room size, cleanliness, facilities and décor gave a fresh feeling and the impression the proprietor was proud in his business. Our Rental car needed to be returned prior to our return flight to England but Mr Patel immediately and willingly provided us with a transfer back to Bismarck airport. We would definitely stay there again should we ever visit the Bismarck area. Geoff (England)

One plus was the location
This hotel is an older place and needs to be renovated. Its overpriced considering the condition of the room. The mattress in our room left a lot to be desired. The bathroom was clean but lacked a coat hook to hang clothes, etc.

It was nice property for the price. Didn't have a pool but when your only using to stay the night on a long travel, worth the cost. Staff was very nice and worked with us to resolve a situation quickly.

If you’re looking for a great value priced hotel, this is your stop in Mandan. There aren’t many amenities but the rooms are clean. We did get free water upon check in. Owner is very nice.

I had to turn the temp on the ac down to 60 to cool the room down so I could get to sleep. I also am pretty picky about pillows and I had to take one off of the other bed to get comfortable. If I would have been staying longer than one night I would have talked to someone about the ac right away. I did mention it in the morning when I checked out.

Even though this was a non smoking room, the smell of cigarettes was over whelming! Our socks were black from the dirty carpet and there were stains on the underneath of the bedspread. The roomkeeper did not show the first day so we didnt have clean towels or the beds made. Someone must have locked their dog in the bathroom because the dog had scratched so much to get out that the scratches were deep and part of the door was gone! The TV was probably from the 1980's. We paid top dollar as a special event was in town and everywhere else was booked. The desk clerk was very nice and accomodating but this place needs a major update! We were worried about bed bugs and roaches but actually did not see either of them. We will not be coming back to this place. Advice-Pay the extra 10.00 and stay somewhere else!

This hotel is NOT worth the money. The room had a very unpleasant odor and the sofa smelled like a dog had slept on it. There was no closet. I had to hang my clothes out in the open over the sofa on some rack that they installed. The carpet was dirty and the top of the tile in the bath over the shower had black dirt on it. There was no bath mat, only one wash cloth, no tissues, and no sugar or creamer for the coffee pods. The sink drain and the bath drain did not drain. My feet were in 2" of water while in the shower. The toilet paper holder is installed in front of the sink right where you stand to prepare. There was no cleaning service on the weekend, so the owner came in and attempted to make the beds. I had to go to the office to pick up towels, tissues, toilet paper, coffee, creamer, and sugar. The second night the bath light was out. This motel is near the train tracks, so it was quite noisy while trying to sleep. I would NOT recommend The North Country Inn & Suites in Mandan, ND to anyone.

Comfortable room in nicely renovated hotel. Great bathroom and shower, good beds. Small continental breakfast. Only issue was very weak wifi in my room. I was able to sit in the breakfast area which had a strong signal and complete my work.

Comfortable room, good service, decent price
The room was large and had everything promised -- great tv, frig, microwave, and coffee maker. We needed extra towels and coffee and that was no problem.
