We had a great time at El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel. Everything was clean and well taken care of, and the staff was excellent. It's somewhat unfortunate there is a nearby club with loud music if that isnt your thing, but if that is your thing it is within walking distance.

The hotel is convenient. It has a great location, and the staff is friendly. However, it is very old. The windows are not soundproof, so, expect bandas all day and night clubs during a big part of the night. The terrace doors do not close properly, expect a draft of air during the night. It can get chilly. I would not go back here. Also, they will charge you if you want Internet access.

Reserved the elite experience suite with 2 king size beds. And when i went into my room there were 2 double beds. I called the front desk and they said they dont have rooms with 2 king size beds at all. Had to downgrade to a regular room. Wasted my afternoon on my last day. Not happy at all

Very old outdated hotel needs renovation as soon as possible, gaps in between the doors, windows only one glass i didn't sleep well because I can hear all the noise from a bar across the street from the hotel and all the noise from the cars passing by all night long and i was a the 26th floor, i can just imagine people on the lower floor how horrible it will be.

Good hotel very clean. Easy access to transportation such as taxi and bus service. Staff very pleasant. Regret will never stay here again or at the other adjoining El Cid properties! The 2 night clubs across the street ruined our stay here. The nightclubs were EXTREMELY NOISY!! They start between 8pm & 10pm depending on the days. THEY DO NOT STOP UNTIL 4a.m. We tried to change our room 3 times but no success. Probably due to maximum reservations as it was getting close to spring break & Easter. There is supposedly a “quiet” side but cannot say for sure as we were not allowed to see a different room even though we were promised at check in. There are quieter rooms but we were told they only had double beds in them. The rooms overlooking the nightclubs were the rooms with King beds. The hotel didn’t have any queen beds. Service in the dining room was very slow for a-la-carte service! We didn’t buy all inclusive as it was buffet only. Only one dining room & bufet was too expensive. $450 pesos per person breakfast & $750 pesos per person evening. We could eat breakfast for about $600 pesos total for us as a couple - much less than $900 pesos for us as a couple. We tried supper once & sevice was not good. They expect everyone will use the buffet. I tried to order 1 glass of wine with my supper but was told they only sold by the bottle! After much insistence they finally gave me 1 glass. Number 1 reason we will never come back is the noise from the 2 night clubs to 4 a.m.

The check in was very nice and easy. The staff was very friendly and ready to help. The hotel is clean, pools were nice and plenty to do around the place. The room was nice. The only thing I didn't like was the noise at night you could hear the club across the street. The shopping across is nice incase you need something you forgot. Plenty of food around the hotel and at the hotel. overall nice place to stay

Great if you have kids, money, and choose to stay on property. Lose the wristband they give you, $50/day for the rest of your stay. Want to take wrist band off to go off property and not be targeted as a tourist, brings resistance big time. Lose room key card? $200. All inclusive? Good luck on getting convenient reservations. Got kids and money and don't mind being treated like a subversive if you leave the property and spend a little else where? This is the place for you. Beware of people behind counters and desks. The rest of the staff is great all around from security to room service personnel.

The food wasn’t good at all and loud music coming from the night club cross the street from the hotel lasted about 12 hours a day and we end up changing our room on the 18th floor with the ocean view to a level one room with no view at all because of the loud music also the phone wasn’t working in the room to make local calls . Over all I’ll give 2 stars maximum.waste off $$$$$

We always stay here and we love it for the kids. The pool is great fir the kids. Rooms are older but clean and spacious and everything necessary is there. Food is great a little pricey but expected is a resort.

Property is too old and outdated and they won't do anything to make it better. They switched us room 4 times before we could get a good room with AC and it still wasn't cleaned right. Even the maintenance people told us how bad this hotel has been getting and the owners don't want to fix it

Staff was great. Rooms were good just need to be updated.

Resort is very nice along with pools and amazing balcony views but it’s about a 7 min drive from the malecón and about a 15 minute walk from all the main shops and the malecón letters

The dining options are amazing and staff are kind in order to be able to book these restaurants you need to pay for the all inclusive option if you don’t you will be limited to an “international buffet” La Pergola which is quite a horrible buffet and the food is quite nasty also the fact that there is only 1 pool for el Moro hotel is incredibly bad it’s filled and can’t have a moment of peace because of kids and the abundance of people around Overall I would rate my experience quite average my highlight would be the Italian restaurant which is beautiful
