Updated rooms are nice! Still pretty rowdy over here an loud. Staff is ALOT better. Front desk employee that was checking me in was very kind an patient. The manger was super sweet an very helpful!! Building looks alot better as well.

The property itself was okay,new remodel, bright colors but it wasn't thoroughly cleaned! I work in housekeeping so I know what to look for.There was a party of some sort going on all night!!! No trash can in the room, only one of the eye's on the stove work, the lobby closed to early, SMH it was not a good experience! Also bug's we're constantly getting in the room bed was very, very uncomfortable.. would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and will not be revisiting.

I got there to check into my room right at 7 and the door was locked and I didn’t see anyone in the office. I called but there is no one to answer except for emergencies. The next day while I was working I called to cancel my reservation and once again only got voice mail. I noticed I was charged for one night so I walked in that day to get refund. And desk personnel told me the fee is automatically generated and there is nothing they can do about it. All I want is my refund !!!

The CLEANEST hotel ever
I retired 2 years ago after working at the local VA hospital for 10 years as a housekeeper. I KNOW how to find dust. It usually only takes me about 15-30 seconds to find dust in my hotel rooms. But this room was almost operating room clean. I did find a very little bit of dust, but they did not make it easy. It took me almost 5 minutes. That has NEVER happened before. As the title says, Cleanest hotel room ever. Now for the unique... I have never stayed at a hotel that did not have at least 1 trash can in the room, until this one. I asked the office for one, and was told that NONE of the rooms had trash cans... Go figure. Now for the disappointing... The hotel description clearly states free wi-fi. So when I got there, I tried to log on. Their wifi stated that I had to get a code from the office. So I asked for the code, and was informed that wifi would cost an additional $13. I pulled out my phone, and showed them the booking, and the list of hotel amenities that clearly said free wi-fi. She replied by saying that only applies if you are staying 4 nights or more. It did not impact me a lot, as I carry 2 cell phones, and both of them have 10 gig of mobile hotspot. I rarely use it but I did on this stay. And finally, even though the hotel was close to the highway, inside the room was reasonably quiet. There is a fire station just down the block, so I did hear them once. Also just around the corner was one of my favorite restaurants... Yep, good ol Waffle House :)

Mr.Dan we appreciate your recent stay and the score however, it appears you misunderstood the information on the Expedia website which indicates the 100.00 Security Deposit is rendered at the Hotel during check in and is refundable pending no damages, no smoking or any non policy occurence in the unit. Thank You. Our hotel takes great pride in making sure we welcome everyone and we provide the documentation as it relates to all the Hotel Policies as well as communicate before your arrival in hopes to ensure a safe and comfortable stay with us. All communication provided was very tactful and you were accomodated as all guiest with a Tour of your studio before the actual check in. Thank You and have safe travels.

The checking in process was a nightmare, the lobby closes at 7pm. I arrived at 930pm and finding the person with a key was a struggle. The carpet was ripped off part of the floor, there was a puddle of water by the fridge and the shower curtain had mold.
Carpet was stinky and coming off.

Although, we appreciate your review and during the tour of the room you were seemingly very happy about the room and the room was thoroughly cleaned and new bedding & accessories are accommodated in the rooms. We are a great hotel and the area is a business district without foot traffic on the premises. We have security as well. New staff were more than accommodating during your check in. We certainly appreciate your opinion and your time. We are also, looking forward to becoming renovated soon but, we take great pride in making everyone feel comfortable as possible. Thank you. Reading the reviews, I had apprehensions about staying here. As it turns out, the hotel has new owners, and they are making improvements. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, based on what I read here. I was going to be in Memphis for a week, so for $35/night, I thought I'd give it a shot. Glad I did, as my stay was pleasant, and I saved a ton of money. Miss Sonya at the front desk was very helpful, friendly, and clearly cares about customer service. It's not fancy, but I would definitely stay again if I had to go back to Memphis.

It said free wifi, but they want 15 dollars. During the night someone tried to enter our room. They had to have a key, because the only thing that kept them out was the upper mechanical latch. I told this to the service desk and they blew me off saying it was probably the security guard.I should have called the police. Half roll of toilet paper, toilet ran half the night. Queen bed was actually a full bed. The bed was hard as a rock,& neither of us could sleep.The info papers says if there are any issues after hours,call a phone number given, but there are no phones. The concrete stairs are in extremely dangerous condition. Many steps are missing 1/3 to 1/4 of step. This is a 3 story ,actually designed for extended stays,not really like a motel. Check in is at 2pm,& checkout is 11am. Hours open are 11-7. Just beware. Our first sight as we shut the door,was a stink bug. Thank you Siegel. Btw,when we were checking out,the people checking in were getting passwords for the wifi in their rooms.Odd.

Mr. Curtis we certainly appreciate your feedback however, this is a new Company that recently bought from the previous Hotel and we are currently, scheduled for renovation and enhancements. Currently, the internet is included in the weekly and monthly stay. The Daily internet has not been implemented as of this current time for the Daily Guest. We surely, hope you will consider returning after our renovation project is completed so, you will get a opportunity to experience the Siegel Select Experience. Thank you Again for your feed back.

WILLIAM WAS ISSUED THE WIFI COST WHICH WAS EXPLAINED AND THE GUEST WAS WILLING TO PAY FOR THE WIFI AND ISSUED THE ACCESS CODE. WE CERTAINLY APPRECIATE IT AND THANK YOU. Early closure
I did not stay there. My flight was delayed and I arrived at 7:30ish and I didn't realize that the hotel closed at 7pm. I've never heard of a hotel closing at that time. I was not charged just disappointed.

The service I received at the front desk was amazing. The Manager was very helpful and friendly. I felt welcome and very comfortable while speaking with her. The room was very accommodating. The kitchen was a plus because it had a stove top, fridge, sink, and microwave. This saved us money because we were able to prepare meals in our room.

If you might've book your reservation possibly during the time of our closing sometimes the reservation could be delayed by the third party during the company before it shows up in our system. Just don't: Room was in disrepair with flooring coming up in the bathroom. I did not use the shower because it did not appear clean. There were holes in the walls and furniture. The room had an awful odor (food vs. mildew?) and there were crumbs on the chair, like someone had eaten their lunch sandwich there while watching TV (the TV was on when I came into the room). I found a tiny black bug crawling up my pajamas the next morning (flea?) and ended up with bug bites on my legs. As I was leaving the second floor room on my way to the office to check out, I noticed the room below mine had a sign in the window that read "Crazy cat lady" (permanent resident, maybe?)...which explains the bug vs. flea bites!
