Like many properties in the downtown area this is on an older home. We have done our best to keep things up to date with kitchen and bath remodels in the past few years, but there are certain features inherent in a home of this age that cannot be corrected. I welcome feedback like this so others who may want a newer home consider booking something else. And you're right- the location can't be beat

We buy whole bean coffee and go through it pretty quickly, so I was surprised when you said it didn't taste fresh, and I will check to see if maybe we got a bad batch. We have an exterior light we keep on in case a guest arrives after dark, and I will check on which bedroom that might be affecting. We hope to see you again.

I was pleased to hear you liked the house, but sorry to hear your experience of the back bedroom was less than satisfactory. If you ever have a problem like this please reach out while you are there, since I could have easily sent the handyman over to adjust the hinge or sand the edge of the door. Others have not mentioned this as a problem, so I'm guessing a simple adjustment could have easily resolved it.

Yes, we were so excited to buy a property like this where you can watch the deer eat the apples in the back field and the cows craze on the neighboring hillside, and then stroll down the driveway and into the front door of the first of two dozen winetasting rooms within a four block stretch. Like many of the homes in Murphys this was built many years ago, and I know that works for some but might be less desirable for others. But thank you for complimenting us on the other amenities you enjoyed.

Thank you for the 5-star review, and your assessment of the beds being a little hard. For a host, it's a real challenge gauging what will be the most liked mattresses and pillows, comforters and blankets, since preferences are different. We try to provide as assortment so everyone can hopefully find a comfortable combination. Glad you liked the outdoor activities. We added cornhole last year, and that seems to be a real hit.
