Nice place, slightly limited kitchen
We were there for two nights and chose this place because it fit our needs -- was reasonably priced, slept two adults, and was nearby to Hawk Mountain. I didn't pay that much attention beforehand other than that. We were surprised to find a full-sized pool table and a somewhat limited kitchen. We shouldn't have been -- it's all there in the photos. And we had a great time playing pool and we were able to cook everything we needed in the kitchen. Be aware you will have one burner and no oven. The hosts were marvelous in their communication -- quick responses even bringing us additional salt but not intruding into the unit, just leaving it outside the door and texting us. Even giving us some recommendations after we left. The common outdoor space is also lovely.

Short but sweet stay
My husband and I had a great overnight stay at the Carriage House. Everything at the house was well thought out, from the food to the largest guest book I've ever come across. We really appreciated having the pool table and shuffleboard and the comfortable couch on a rainy Saturday night. Wish we could have stayed longer. We really look forward to returning to the property to fully take advantage of all that it has to offer. The lake, the hiking, and even the fire pit in the courtyard will all draw us back. Many thanks to Mark and Diane for their hospitality. Hope to be back again soon.

Relaxing
This property was immaculate. We enjoyed the shuffleboard and the pool table. The lake is lovely...I wish we had rented some kayaks. We stayed three night. We only went out to eat once. The kitchenette and gas grill provided everything we needed to cook meals. It was very quite and relaxing. The hosts, Mark and Diane, were extremely nice.

Terrific stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Mark and Dianne’s house. We kayaked at Leaser Lake which is a short distance from their house, did a beautiful hike, and had a restful nights sleep during our one night stay. The communication with Mark and Dianne was amazing! The view from their house was beautiful, landscaping around their property is gorgeous, and the house was very clean. Overall everything was terrific!

Carriage house
The carriage house was absolutely perfect for our marriage celebration getaway . Extremely clean , welcoming , quiet , very relaxing for together time for a short honeymoon getaway . Took a nice bike ride around the lake and enjoyed the different birds . The host Mark was very friendly and a pleasure to talk with . Welcomed us with a personal thoughtful touch of a congrats cake on the table for when we arrived . Thank you to the owners of the carriage house we will return at some point .

Valentines Day Getaway
This was a wonderful place for a couple to get away for some alone time. The house was immaculate, well equipped with everything you need, and the owners made every effort to ensure your stay was perfect. They even provided me with a Valentines Day cake for my wife!!! We highly recommend this property, and we will surely return here in the future!!!

Amazing rental
My husband and I had a lovely time at this Carriage house. We enjoyed the house and property. We briefly met Mark the owner who was very kind. The house had so many amenities which made it definitely a home away from home. The scenery and weather were perfect, and we loved staying here. The area was so quiet, and we saw so many stars at night when outside. Thank you!

Great country setting.
The area was like a trip back in time. The entire community is so laid back, down to earth and friendly. Good quality country folk and my expectations were exceeded. The property was awesome, the hosts were awesome and if you can't find enough things to do then you aren't trying very hard. The room was very unique, comfortable and relaxing. We hope to return again soon because we have so much more to see, do and enjoy in the area.

Fantastic property and hosts!
We came for my husband’s 50th birthday, and we couldn’t have been happier than we were at this property. Everything was perfect, and we were sorry to have to leave! There were so many fun things to do, and games in our ‘apartment’, that we could have spent all of our time there happily. Mark and Diane were friendly, and checked on us just enough to ensure that all of our needs were met. We will definitely try to stay with them on our next trip!

Carriage House
The house was clean and cozy with a great fire pit. Everything was provided; linens, firewood, breakfast, etc. I would definitely stay here again. Communication was great from booking and even after checkout.

Great getaway!
This was a wonderful place for me to relax and spend the days focusing on my book. Mark and Diane are fantastic hosts and it was nice to chit chat with them. The carriage house was super-clean and had everything I needed and more. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed was super-comfortable and the view was lovely. The lake is within walking distance and is perfect for fishing, boating or just relaxing with a book. I also loved hearing the church bells every day. Thank you for a great stay! Highly recommended. Outdoor adventure get away
We really enjoyed our stay. The property owners were very attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the mountain biking, kayaking, and paddle board experience. We wish that we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful getaway, awesome place! Best B&B!
We stayed here to be close to where my husband's family lives. We were so impressed! It was fun to have the family over for a few games of pool. The views were beautiful, especially for the sunsets. The place was immaculate and very well appointed. It had everything we needed. The bed and couch were super comfortable. It was also nice to get to chit chat with Diane and Mark. We are already planning our next trip back!

Extraordinary B and B and Hosts
The B & B hosted by Mark and Diane exceeded all of my expectations! I normally pack everything but the kitchen sink with me...and I did but The unit provides everything you would need for a comfortable and relaxing stay...and more! The hosts were so sincere, accommodating and truly made my birthday vacation the best I've ever had! Their recommendations and complete binder of what to do were perfect and really helped in choosing what my Boyfriend and I decided to do and the amenities offered were perfect to relax to after a day of exploring! It was wonderful getting to know this couple and enjoying their hospitality(and their debut movie in the yard night!!) We will definitely be staying here again and again!! Thanks so much for everything!!

Amazing!!!
Mark and Diane are two of Pennsylvania’s finest and their accommodations are right there with them! Carpets furniture kitchen, you name it, it’s spotless. Speaking of kitchen, they stocked us up with breakfast foods and have this amazing breakfast sandwich maker. Overall the area is quiet and just breathtaking from dawn till dusk. Pics don’t do this place justice. If you want to use the lake, it’s 100 yds from your door. My daughter and I caught over 30 bass this week with several in the 3-4.5 lb range. But back to Mark and Diane, the hosts. They are so hospitable and go above and beyond to ensure you are at complete ease and enjoy yourself. They’re fun to talk to and will help you with places to see in the area. I highly recommend this place and we’ll be back as soon as we can get away.

Fall get away
The space was perfect. there is another small rental right across the courtyard so was less private then we expected but really never became an issue. the overall property was beautifully maintained and very welcome, as were Diane and Mark. the lake is 2 minute walk and we found lots of other great places to hike, and were safely able to bike on the roads ( with guidance from Mark on which streets to use). this was a perfect 3 day get away with lots of fall foliage !

We live in Manhattan and have been couped up in our apartment for 5 months working from home due to COVID. We desperately needed some time out of the city to commune with nature and get away. The Carriage House was just what we needed. Biking, hiking, kayaking in the lake, grilling and dining outside and even some fresh produce that was generously shared with us by Mark and Diane

Hosts think of almost everything!
A unique (in a good way) property where everything is provided for, from instructions for the breakfast sandwich maker to toiletries to labeled wall switches to in-room game tables! There is a great view out the back, too. For those used to urban life, this will be a quiet and peaceful respite; for those dwelling in rural areas, the traffic may be noisier than that to which you are accustomed. The hosts were friendly and surprised us with anniversary "cake-lets" and a honey sample form their own hive. All-in-all, a relaxing get-away.

Great
What a great escape! The area is beautiful. The hiking trail around the lake was gorgeous and fished on the lake. No bites this time, but enjoyed the scenic views. Got some great grub to-go, mostly from hamburg and enjoyed the fire pit, shuffleboard, and pool. The bed was so comfy and every amenity you could think of was there. Mark and Diane did a great job and the communication was great!

This place was truly amazing!! Mark & Diane made sure everything was pleasant as well as making sure we knew where all the awesome locations were surrounding the area. Cannot recommend the establishment enough. Great amenities, kind, gracious owners, beautiful views and a-lot to do in the surrounding areas. Definitely check out Hawk Mountain if your into hiking! Recommended.

Perfect cozy getaway
Mark was an amazing host - he even invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner with his family when he swung by to show us how to work the heat (which is a dreamy fireplace that keeps the whole space nice and warm)! The carriage house was the perfect getaway for my partner and I during the holidays. The amenities and games provided in the space really made for a fun and seamless experience, while the lake just across the field made for a beautiful nature walk that was a highlight of our stay. I would absolutely recommend this rental! It was just what we were looking for.

Perfect relaxing getaway
Mark and Diane did a great job with this B&B. It is cozy, neat, and full of fun activities and appliances! :) We loved our getaway - It was a wonderful place to unwind and relax. The pool table was in excellent shape - the best we've played on for a while! Everything was tip top and they were very friendly and helpful. Their breakfasts and treats were oh-so-tasty. We would definitely come back and suggest this fun property to our friends!

Wonderful, relaxing get-away
3 days of rest & relaxation. Diane & Mark could not have been more accommodating!! Even provided Gluten Free bread & rolls for my allergy. The room was airy and super comfortable. Got in a couple hikes around Leasor Lake and Hawks Mountain Landing. Visited wineries & a great distillery. Relaxed at night playing pool, shuffleboard & cards. Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you Mark & Diane!!

Excellent in Every Way!
Such a short drive from the city, yet so serene. From beginning to end, this was such an amazing stay! Check-in was easy & flexible and we were thankful to get an early start enjoying the beauty of the area, with a bike ride to/around the near by lake. Mark and Diane are amazing, caring gracious hosts who exude a genuine warmth and knack for hospitality and service! And Diane's blueberry pancakes are amazing! The cottage was lovely, the bed was sooooo comfy, everything was immaculate and well appointed. So many little touches that made me think "Wow! They think of everything!" Having the pool table and shuffle board right there made for such nice fun and time around the fire pit in the evening was priceless. Much to do for active people or those just looking to sit back and relax. We did both! Near by Hawk Mountain is a must for anyone who likes a good walk, hike, bird watching (saw two bald eagles and more!) and spectacular views! We will be back. AND.... Mark&Diane also have a 'Tiny House' available for rent that we have already reserved for a weekend in October. Can't wait to see all the trees in full color! It will be another amazing get away... Such a gem, so close by... Thank you so much!

A Whole Package Stay
Awesome place! Host Mark and Diane are great and will care for all your needs. The house has a pool table, shuffleboard, a bunch of activities to keep yourself entertained. Blissfully peaceful
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. The place was spotless. The bed comfortable. The game tables fun. The arrangement was open & the colors warm. The kitchen suitable for our needs. We found the hosts to be very helpful when needed (responding immediately to any request or need) and yet also discreet by leaving us to ourselves to just vegetate! The breakfast items were tailored to our dietary needs and generous. We stay at many B&B's and rental homes. This is now one of our top 3. Even though the outside temps were in hot & muggy, gray & rainy range (literally feels like 102!) we were cool and comfortable, hardly hearing the thunderstorms! We will return in the Spring, Lord willing! Although this time we never left the room for 3 days, next time we plan to fish in Leaser Lake and take in the local sights. THANK YOU, Diane & Mark. Well done!
