Confortevole albergo a due passi dal centro...
Sono stata tre notti ospite del Grey Hotel. L'albergo è datato ma le camere sono confortevoli, letti molto buoni, dotate di tutto il necessario. Purtroppo la struttura è datata e i pavimenti delle camere scricchiolano continuamente al minimo movimento. È difficile dormire durante la notte Per la confusione dei ragazzi in strada e per il continuo traffico proprio sotto le finestre.

Lovely stay at this hotel, room is well presented but bathroom is starting to look a little tired in places, but clean. Hotel is in a good location 5 to 10 mins walk from the Rail station, some noise heard from outside as located at a busy junction, but traffic is quiet enough during the night that it’s not a problem. Staff friendly, loft quite small, 2 with cases is a crowd. Overall very good hotel and would be happy to stay again

Beautiful old building, with large tasteful room,comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The receptionist Ramona was friendly and pleasant. The Lithuanian girl who served breakfast was especially warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed the large choice at breakfast, with delicious fresh croissants and tasty coffee. Very good value for money too. One slight issue was the room temperature, which was very hot. Maybe some instructions for the air conditioner would be helpful in the room? Overall a great place to stay.

The drilling did not help much outside first thing this morning. Also the adjoined bar shuts at 10. Not great when your just wanting a couple of drinks before bed. 13 people were turned away.

Lovely place to stay. Friendly receptionist. Very clan. Stayed in standard double room. It was a bit noisy from the roadworks going on outside the hotel , but I still slept well

Highly Recommended
First impressions on arrival were very good. the hotel entrance looks fabulous and the interior is very well decorated. Many original features have been retained on the stairs. Staff are all very friendly. The room was very comfortable and equipped with everything that we might need. The hotel is ideally located to explore the quayside, castle and cathedral, as well as being on the edge of the main shopping extra, all within an easy walking distance. We ate in the restaurant on the first night, the food was exceptional. Starters and main course were prepared and cooked to perfection. A bonus that we were unaware of was the fact there was 50% off everything on the menu. Breakfast was great too, a nice choice of cold items and a delicious cooked breakfast. Across the road from the hotel is the Portofino Italian restaurant. We ate there on the second night and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Should we return to Newcastle we would have no hesitation in staying at the hotel again.

Very small dingey grey , noisy all night no sleep,the room above creaking floor above us. Bathroom ceiling collapsing down , due to water damage. Told hotel never got back to us. Room cold. Asked for any blanket got as sheet. Wound not stay agian

Room and bathroom was spotless, bit of an odd setup with the bathroom on the upper level and bedroom on the lower which made it quite quirky. Bed looked amazing and was really comfy - shame we discovered it was 2 mattresses pushed together and not a king as described. Music from Leila Lily's was loud but did turn off by about 11.30 to midnight. Good location, however lift is out of service so if you don't like or cannot get up and down alot of stairs probably best to avoid as not made aware until checking in as all rooms are on higher levels. Enjoyed our stay overall but not quite what I would call a luxury hotel - furniture a little tired/warn, finishing touches lacking, minimal extras and no fridge in room which was disappointing, also windows are fixed and cannot be opened and you cannot see out of them so was a little claustrophobic.

In regards to the mattresses most of our rooms have zip and link mattresses apart from our standard double rooms as the room types are interchangeable between a double and a twin room. as we are a small hotel we find this is the best way to accommodate all guests.Also we have tried to contact all guest prior to arrival regarding the mechanical failure of our lift and this issue will be resolved as soon as possible.Our fridges are per request as they are removed from suites for regular cleaning and servicing.Hope to welcome you back in the future.Kindest Regards.

Great location. Lovely boutique hotel.
Lovely staff very helpful. Hotel is really nice. I thought it would be noisy being so near to town but we were only on the first floor and didn't notice anything. Would definitely stay again.

Was quite noisy and the fact that the lift was broken made it a bit awkward getting up the stairs. The fact that the bar shut at 10 was not good.

Nice hotel
Stayed for 2 nights with my husband. Comfortable bed, clean rooms. Only issue was there was a technical fault with the lift and after walking around Newcastle before checking in it was a shock to the system climbing 6 flights of stairs to our room.
