We did online check-in a day early to expedite the process since we knew we'd be arriving late. I chose the room in advance, but it wasn't available when we arrived. We had to wait 30 minutes for another room, which was horribly smelly. The room was also very cold because they had the air conditioning on full blast with a fragrance to mask the smell. I went downstairs to request another family room but was told none were available. Back in the room, the odor was still unbearable, so I returned to the reception. Finally, we were given two rooms. It's clear now that they knew there was an issue with the original room but tried to give it to us anyway. I had to go to the reception twice to get a reasonable solution. It's a shame we lost an hour because they didn't offer an alternative room despite knowing there was a problem.
