“We stayed in Treetops at the Abri Apartments for five nights towards the end of a six week trip to NZ and it was ideal. Set back from the main drag with views out across the water to Russell and an apartment with just about everything you could want set in lovely gardens. Helen was a great host and our stay was really relaxed. If you’re going to Paihia (and it makes a great base for the Bay of Islands) then book this early and enjoy the time there even more. ”

“Very helpful staff. Everything clean and of good standard, very comfortable king bed. Minuses: access to wardrobe and drawers in the bedroom limited due to close proximity of the bed. Access to microwave inconvenient due to its positioning (sideway) in a corner of the kitchenette. ”

“Very well run motel with a super friendly and efficient proprietress. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in clean, comfortable rooms, and Winnie looked after us all very well. Easy walk to the Paihia wharf, shops, and dining. Highly recommended.”

“A bit 1950s, but super nice people. We enjoyed our stay here. The location was very nice, but the key would get stuck in the lock and needed a fancy jiggle to get it out. Owners might think about changing the locks for ones that work.”
