Parfait !
The location is one of the best in Paris; the building is a little bit battered, but some restauration works are on their way. The apartment is charming, perfectly maintained and clean, with little details (high quality soaps, welcome drinks and champagne in the fridge...) that show attention and quality by the owner. Mrs. Francoise has been extremely kind in the communication, and flexible in check-in and check-out time. We had just a perfect time and will come back for sure.

Wonderful Paris
An authentic small apartment. Outstanding location close to the Seine and all facilities. Old apartments do have their quirks, uneven floors, occasionally noisy neighbours and a tiny tv. However you'll forgive the quirks to be in such an attractive neighbourhood.

Comfortable apartment in great location
The apartment was perfect for us. Right in the heart of St Germain. Bed was super comfortable and shower was one of the best anywhere. Having a washer and dryer was a plus as our five nights in Paris were part of a longer trip so we could wash everything. BUT allow lots of time as a full wash takes 3.5 hours!

Great apartment in a great location!
Very satisfied with our stay! Location was excellent, walking distance to most of the main Paris attractions, and to the metro/rer for those that weren't. The courtyard (mentioned by many earlier reviewers) was clean, no issues there anymore. Loved having a washer and dryer (note, the private washer/dryer are outside the apartment, in a room a half floor down). The apartment itself was quiet. My 17 year old daughter slept on the sofa bed, and it was very comfortable. I thought the bed in the bedroom was a bit too firm, but that's subjective...and I got used to it by the end of our stay. Would absolutely recommend choosing this place for your vacation. Just a few tips I thought I'd pass along: To enter the door off the street, type in the code, then push the center of the door inward (with a little extra force). Thankfully a nice employee from the ramen restaurant next door saw us struggling and showed us how it worked. Also, in the stairwell, there are light switches, but we were hesitant to press them at first because they sort of looked like old American doorbells, and we didn't want to disturb anyone if we were wrong! But rest assured, they are light switches, so press away!

Perfect Stay
Location was GREAT, within walking distance to most attractions, yet still a local feel to the neighborhood. The Apartment was as described and met all of our needs. Being able to check in early was a god-send! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Wonderful apartment in great location
Had a wonderful stay and hope to return again soon. Walked everywhere except the Eiffel Tower which was still easy to reach with nearby subway. Tons of restaurants and close to the Seine. Heads up it's 3 floors of stairs in the dark (never found a light on the first floor but there is one on the last floor you can turn on before going down) Laundry was very convenient. Just budget a few hours to both wash and dry. Was very convenient with kids to run downstairs for breakfast supplies each morning from nearby market and bakeries. Really enjoyed our stay!!

I am grateful to you for reporting this so that it can be remedied. To reassure vacationers, I would like to point out that there are only two floors to climb and not three! Quite Nice
An excellently located apartment in a vibrant section of Paris. The only reason we did not give it five stars is because of the third-floor walkup (second floor a la Europeen) with no elevator. Francoise was attentive and followed up when needed.

Nice Apartment, sketchy entryway
The apartment itself was great, modern, everything you need, comfortable. The location is super, but the inner courtyard is not pleasant; trash cans from Ramen restaurant, messed up rugs over concrete, sometimes a lot of chatter - not a room with a view. Stairs in need of modernization, lighting too. Too bad the lovely apartment has such an unpleasant entry.

The location of this apartment cannot be beat. It’s in a vibrant neighborhood with endless food options and incredibly easy to get to all the top sites either walking, by bus or the metro. The apartment was clean and cozy. Communication with the owner was great and the check-in and out process very smooth. Some days it was loud in the mornings with people getting ready for the day but it will likely be the same everywhere in this kind of building. Definitely the perfect location. And an amazing bakery around the corner.

Amazing location and Quiet
My family of 4 enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. Perfect location easy walk to all tourist destinations. Wonderful restaurants all around you. My kids ages 11 & 14 had no problem sharing the comfortable pull out couch in the living room. The bedroom bed was very comfortable. Apartment has many windows but still very private. Highly recommend to others and we’ll be back.

We had a lovely stay in this property of Francoise. It was in a lovely area, the apartment was as described and lovely and clean. Our days were warm so it was nice to come back to a place we could turn in the aircon - even though it is just a portable one - it did a reasonable job. Lovely Cozy Apartment
The apartment is exactly as described and very comfortable. We enjoyed our 4 week stay very much. We were there under difficult circumstances with constant civil unrest and protests and a three week rubbish strike which made getting into the apartment difficult but this was out of the control of the owner. The common garden area is currently under construction and most unattractive as are the stairs leading to the apartment. In short the apartment was lovely, well maintained and serviced by Rolly who was a delight. The common outdoor area is currently very unattractive but hopefully will be rectified.

Perfect hideaway in a bustling area

Great apartment in a superb neighborhood
This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we will be back! The apartment is immaculate, very well appointed and comfortable. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. Nice, quiet apartment but only steps away from the most vibrant neighborhood in Paris. Walking distance to museums and many sights and only steps away from great restaurants. Our hostess has always been very generous and accommodating.

Perfect Location!
I have been lucky to stay in Paris a number of times, but this was my first in the Saint Germain de Près neighborhood, and it is a winner! Everything is at your fingertips and the people watching on the pedestrian streets is great fun. Françoise loaded us with information about good restaurants, stores, etc…. There is a health food store two doors down and a Carrefour a block or two away. It was nice for us to have much more space than a hotel room, to be able to make coffee (Françoise provided a delicious organic brand) and breakfast before heading out in the morning, and then to have this comfortable place to relax before going to dinner. It’s a Paris apartment- the building is not elegant and we were aware of neighbors, but we slept pretty well on the comfortable bed and were quite content in our private space. The kitchen and bathrooms were recently remodeled and pleasant to use. We are happy that we chose this apartment.

Terrific apartment in the best area of historic Paris
The apartment is clean and bright. We slept like babies on the bed. No lift but it's just 29 steps to get to the apartment. The space provides air conditioning for hot summer days but the opened windows provided for very pleasant days and nights without it. Plenty of fresh air and cross-ventilation. You'll be within walking distance of many well-known Parisian sights and there are loads of cafes within 100 meters or so of your door. I would definitely stay there on my next vacation.

Mitten im Geschehen
Die Wohnung war genau so, wie sie beschrieben war. Es war alles da, was man für einen Kurzurlaub in dieser tollen Stadt braucht. Handling absolut einfach und selbsterklärend! Obwohl es sehr heiß war, konnte man es gut aushalten und abends hatte man die Qual der Wahl, in der näheren Umgebung ein geeignetes Restaurant oder ein schöne Bar zu finden. Von Allem gab es reichlich. Der Jardin du Luxembourg, nicht weit entfernt, ist ein wahre Oase und das Panthéon hat eine herrliche Aussichtsplattform - wirklich sehenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

The apartment was very nice and in a great location. We would definitely stay again. It was very comfortable, especially the pull out sofa. It was very clean. Just make sure you know where the light switch is in the courtyard because one of us tripped and fell because we couldn’t see the threshold between the gravel and the tile in the dark.

Wonderful location and host
This apartment was just what we were looking for, a comfortable, well equipped true one-bedroom in the bustling Latin Quarter. The one minor drawback is the occasional late night noise coming from the wildly popular Ramen restaurant located on the ground floor. Not a problem if you expect to be out on the town late. Also, a reminder that like most apartments in Paris there is no AC meaning the apartment will be warm when the weather is hot.

I would like to clarify that there is no fixed air conditioning in the apartment but there is a mobile air conditioner which was not yet installed when you came (it is installed at the beginning of June for the whole summer). Amazing location; comfortable flat with wonderful host
Our family of four (two adults, 11, and 13 year-olds) stayed here the first week of April. This flat is in an absolutely amazing location. In the heart of a beautiful neighborhood, it is easy walking distance to the Louvre (10 minutes), Musee D'Orsay (18 min), Notre Dame (14 min), metro stations and all the wonderful cafes, resturants, galleries and shops of St. Germain. There are so many restaurants to choose from on this street and all around this neighborhood. We could not have been happier. Nice bathroom and shower and amazingly comfortable sofa bed (I don't say that often!). We didn't use the kitchen, but there if you need it. The building was very quiet (the flat overlooks a courtyard, not the street), with the exception of recycling pick-up some mornings. Francoise was a wonderful and communicative host and we greatly appreciated her flexibility to provide early access to the flat when we landed at noon. Highly recommend! This was also an exceptional value!

Everything is thoughtfully laid out and is lovely. Very, very clean. Two flights of easy steps broken into 4 segments (i.e. a landing) and with a railing. Great to have a washer and dryer. Couldn't ask for a better location! I was traveling alone and felt very secure.

Great property at a fabulous location
This apartment was perfect - exactly as described, immaculate, and very well appointed. Secure building in a friendly neighborhood. Walking distance to great cafes, restaurants, shopping etc. Owner provided the most comprehensive and helpful information about the apartment and the surrounding area that we have ever seen. The courtyard is being renovated and will soon be welcoming again. I am very sorry for the unusual noise in this very quiet building. It was caused by young people to whom the owner had lent his apartment. You should have warned me, I would have taken care of the problem immediately.

Greatest location for trips to all the main sites across the city. Nice, cosy and quiet apartment. Very friendly and helpful owner, who had great response times on communication. Solutions was immediately offered when there was a problem with the lock to the apartment. Highest recommendation from us.

Wonderful location and responsive host
The apartment was exactly like the photos and included everything that we needed although we didn't try to cook in the apartment. Francoise was very helpful and responded promptly to my questions. (We communicated in French.) The housekeeper was there when we arrived which helped in getting oriented. The location was marvelous - close to many restaurants & shops, and also the Odeon metro. The courtyard was under construction when we were there which gave a poor initial impression although the apartment itself was quite nice.

Perfect apartment in the perfect location
This apartment is in the most ideal location in Paris, in my opinion. I love this part of the 6th arrondissement! It is around the corner from the very lively pedestrian street, rue de Buci. You can walk to so many things from this central location! In person, the apartment lives up to the photos. It is very comfortable and clean. And Françoise is a delightful hostess! We never met in person, but she was so kind in our online exchanges. She makes it very easy to check into the apartment yourself with the key box, but she is a phone call away if you need anything. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay in perfect location
My husband and I traveled to Paris with our 15 month old daughter for 5 days and very much enjoyed our stay at Francoise's apartment. The location is just fantastic- there are so many restaurants, bakeries, patisseries, grocery stores, all just around the corner. It's very lively with many people out, but because the apartment doesn't overlook the main street, it is not loud at all. Close walk to a number of metro and bus stops, and just 10 minutes walk to the Louvre. The apartment was up a few flights of stairs, so something to be mindful of. There is a portable AC unit available in the unit which is useful if it gets hot. The kitchen was very well stocked (tea, coffee, sugar, salt/pepper, jams, cooking equipment, etc.) and Francoise even left us a bottle of champagne upon our arrival (we don't drink but it was still a lovely gesture!). Since we had a toddler with us my husband would pick up fresh bread in the morning and we got a variety of cheese and fruit from the grocery store to eat with our breakfast- delicious! was very comfortable to have the extra space in the apartment as well. we brought a pack and play crib for our daughter and had enough space to put it in the corner of the bedroom which was convenient so we could stay in the living room while she slept. Francoise was very on top of communication and was very helpful. I don't think she speaks English but had no problem sending messages through VRBO. We were taking a train out of Paris later in the afternoon and she let us leave our luggage in the laundry room with no problem which was much appreciated. the Laundry was also great! regular size washer and dryer, and detergent pods available for our use. Overall fantastic stay and would recommend to others!

L'appartement est très bien situé, calme car donnant sur une cour et de ce fait un peu sombre mais avec tous les commerces alentours. Possibilité de place de parking souterrain juste à côté mais les tarifs sont très chers. L'appartement est bien équipé, le lit est confortable. Excellent contact avec la propriétaire

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our 5 night stay at this lovely apartment. The photographs are accurate and the apartment has a very homey feeling to it. The kitchen area is very well stocked and was a perfect spot to prepare a nice breakfast before heading out to explore Paris. The apartment is set back from the street, so it is very quiet. The heaters keep us warm in January. Francoise is charming and was quick to answer any questions or attend to our needs. The location is terrific, in the heart of the Left Bank sites, cafes and shops. We highly recoomend this apartment.

The Perfect Bolthole in Saint Germain
My colleagues and I stayed in Françoise's apartment for 4 nights while on a work trip. What a wonderful find and what an even better host. All communication was pleasant and kind and nothing was too much trouble. Françoise attended to any queries and questions we had quickly and effectively. The apartment itself is perfect. It is spotlessly clean and complete with every modern convenience you could possibly need plus much, much more, and yet it still retains a feeling of French character and homeliness through the choice of furnishings and decoration. The bed and sofa bed were extremely comfortable and although the entrance to the apartment building is right on the street it was peaceful and perfect for fitful sleep after a day of walking around the city. The icing on the cake are the beautiful sights, restaurants, convenience stores and great bakeries within steps of the apartment. This area in general and this apartment in particular is a great base from which to explore the city as it is very well served by metro and bus. I hope to return to this apartment sooner rather than later as it added so much to our stay in the most wonderful city. Merci beaucoup François. Tu es très gentil.

The Heart of the Latin Quarter
We fell in love with the idea of an extended stay in St. Germain de Pres, and when my spouse found this little gem it seemed ideal; as it turns out, it was! The apartment and laundry room down one short flight of stairs are immaculately kept, generously stocked and ideal for a couple or family. There was a learning curve for us as Americans learning how European appliances work, but it was frankly shorter than our last experience with them. Having a dishwasher and *real* dryer were huge pluses. We appreciated the fact that we were in a very old part of the city and that we were not paying for a five-star hotel, but a chance to get up in the morning, toast a baguette and experience the life and pulse of the neighborhood. The apartment is a warm and quiet refuge in a busy life-filled neighborhood and building. We felt welcomed almost everywhere we went. in spite of our poor skills speaking the language. Someone once said about New York that if you are bored, just take a walk; the same is doubly true of Paris, and especially this neighborhood. We loved being in short walking distance from all-night French Tacos for a few Euros and the oldest restaurant in the city (La Procope) on a street named for "Ancient Comedy." Also, if you can't find somewhere to eat in this neighborhood you may want to visit another country. There's an organic grocer steps from the front door of the building and Carrefour Market is two blocks away. The walk to Église San Sulpice is fairly short and not to be missed. All of our interactions with Francoise were warm, helpful and direct. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome, and answered questions promptly is we had any. We fell in love with Paris(again) and our stay in this wonderful spot had a lot to do with it.

sweet clean quiet airy apartment, fantastic location
great stay for 3 of us: surrounded by bars, cafes and stores, walking distance from metro, 2 floor walk up, laundry facilities, convenient kitchen with all requirements including dishwasher, windows in all rooms and bathrooms (overlooking courtyards, but plenty of light and ventilation). water to be added to window cooler/AC every few hours (a problem only in the summer heat waves). i hope to stay there agin in the fall sometime...
