Great location and wonderful accommodations
We were two couples who met up for the weekend to enjoy the wineries and local hiking and good food. The location was perfect and the house was great for hanging out and cooking.

Comfy, cozy house that is well appointed – would definitely rent again!
We saw this house on Vrbo, and saw how many positive reviews it had, and just went on the rating and we were not disappointed. The only negatives we have to offer our the fact that, since it is an old house with single pane windows, it was chilly. But they had this really lovely gas-fired fireplace that we kept on pretty much the whole weekend that warmed the place right up! I do wonder if we stayed there in the summer how different it would be trying to keep the place cool... we are going to note that because we are card players. We love the fact that the dining room table has this “card table top” that made playing games fantastic! We will definitely rent this place the next time we come down to Paso Robles!

Quaint home in great location
This home is super cute and was the perfect size for our three-person girlfriend stay. We love how the owners have retained the charm of this historic home while making it functional and fabulous. Its location provided easy and quick access to downtown Paso and was in a quiet and adorable neighborhood. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the fireplace added a charming, comfortable setting for wine and conversation.

July 2023 stay
Clean and comfortable historic home with all the amenities for a short stay. Quiet neighborhood. Loved the backyard for outdoor BBQ and dining. We didn't watch TV; however, the Living room had only enough seating for three people. We did most of our conversing in the Dining room and backyard dining table. The instructions for the thermostat when leaving the premises was conflicting. One set of instructions said to increase to 85 degrees, another said to turn off the thermostat.

Loved The Poe House
The house was perfect! So charming! Was perfect for our extended weekend stay. The backyard was maintained, however, it wasn’t fully enclosed, which made having dogs a little difficult (since deer walk around). Otherwise, would 100% stay again!

Cute Cottage
Historic cottage. Exactly as advertised commercially managed properly. Guests are asked to run a load of towels and dishes before you leave. Great patio and back yard area. Street parking. Very responsive communication.

Quaint stay
We enjoyed our stay. Some electrical problems in beginning that were immediately taken care of by property managers. Fully stocked with appliances and dishes which were great because we ate many meals at the house. Beds comfy and white towels seemed new and extremely soft. Used the outside fire pit which worked well. Thank you for a very nice stay.

As others have said, this is a great place to stay while visiting Paso. Nice walk to town and restaurants. Home was clean and comfy - appeared as presented in pictures and written details. Nice quiet street. We would stay there again.

Great location, comfortable and cozy
This was the second time my friends and I stayed at Poe House while enjoying a weekend of wine, food and conversation in Paso Robles. The historic house is small but comfortable, in a great location to walk to the town square with its fine restaurants and shops. Good launching point for wineries and trips to the much cooler coastal towns. Despite the home's age, it had effective air conditioning for the summer Paso heat. There were a few minor maintenance items that needed attention, but we let the management know.

Feels Like Home
The Poe House is a beautiful cottage on a quiet street near downtown Paso Robles. From the white picket fence to the lovely garden, the moment you park your car, the entire experience feels like you’re home. But the property experience is more than the look and feel of the home, the property management company is top notch. They check in with you and ensure you have an amazing time in their town, providing you with recommendations and suggestions for things to do and visit. I really appreciated their attention to detail. Definitely recommend visiting Poe house…you’ll never be disappointed!

Quiet Neighborhood close to town
Stayed here while running errands before my daughters destination winery wedding. Very clean. Cute quirky house. Bathrooms are awkward if using all the bedrooms. That is the only negative.

A Beautiful Home, Quiet Location Close to Old Town Paso Robles.
It is a lovely home well equipped with supplies. Within walking distance to restaurants, the park, and the Historical section of town. Our cat loved the home too! However, Upon entering there was a musty odor throughout the house. Could air fresheners be used? The Beds were really confortable! Overall a 4 STAR RATING! Thank You Paso Robles Rental!

What a gem!
From the moment we checked in, with easy directions, to the moment we checked out, we loved this property. A wonderful cottage feeling, extremely clean, but also comfortable! We'll definitely be staying here again. So close to town, but quiet and the loveliest pet-friendly yard. We so enjoyed pur stay!

Lovely historic home in a quiet neighborhood
We really enjoyed our stay at the Poe house this weekend. Very clean and spacious for 2-3 couples. The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable, updated bathrooms and beautiful grounds with spring flowers in bloom! We enjoyed the several sitting areas outside, and took a nice neighborhood stroll after breakfast. After a bit of wine tasting nearby, we walked to the town square for Art in the Park, and enjoyed some relaxation time at the Backyard on 13th as well. We look forward to coming back again!

Wonderful place to relax after Wine Tasting in Paso Robles
This was a comfortable home at the edge of downtown Paso Robles. We were able to relax by the firepit and cook in the roomy kitchen after a day of wine tasting.

Peaceful Getaway
The historic home with the little garden and a variety of outdoor seating was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed. It provide our group of 5 plenty of space to hang out and enjoy each others company.

Very clean property with all your basic needs. Great location so you can walk to downtown. The property managers are sooo friendly and very accommodating. Also helped us find restaurants locally. Great spot
Lovely home that is very well cared for. We enjoyed the neighborhood and the house was perfect for close to downtown adventures and a perfect launching spot for winery visits. Given how well appointed the house is, the only surprise was that the cable didn't have local tv channels (nor was there an HD antenna) and so after a harrowing day of sampling wines, we were disappointed not to watch a little NFL playoffs on the tele in the evening. Overall though, a perfect spot to return.

OUR THOUGHTS
The only issues were that the sink in the front bathroom is too small for that spot, or out too far away from the wall. You might consider a bigger sink, or extend the faucet. Also, that sink doesn't drain very well. Additionally, the toilet in the back bathroom tended to leak so that it kept trying to fill the tank. Otherwise, we loved the place, thank you.

Perfect fora family gathering
The Poe House is as described, in a great location within easy walking of downtown. It's in a quiet, well kept neighborhood of modest older homes. We stayed there with 5 members of our family to enjoy the local wine tasting as well as Thanksgiving. The kitchen is well equipped and we had no trouble in preparing meals for the group. The dining area is large and suitable for big meals. If visiting Paso Robles I would stay there again.

Family Time in Paso
The Mary Agnes Poe house was a great place for our multigenerational vacation! We enjoyed cycling just outside of Paso, wine tastings, and walks into town to enjoy restaurants, the farmers' market, and shops. Our 1 year old granddaughter loved visiting the playground at the park in the town square. The property was spacious enough for 4 adults and a toddler, and all of us enjoyed relaxing / playing in the outdoor space. We will definitely return to Paso and would consider staying again at the Mary Agnes Poe house.

We met some family members here for some wine tasting and vacation and this place didn’t disappoint! Very detailed yet simple instructions on how to access/use everything and you can’t beat the loacation. Will definitely visit again!

Our overall stay at the Poe House was wonderful. The house was very close to Downtown Paso Robles and close to the freeways. The home was very clean and in good shape. The management was very helpful and attentive. I was contacted the day before just to make sure I had received their email with instructions on how to get into the house. I also really liked the marque that welcomed me to the house and where I could more information on things to do in Paso.

Charming Vacation Suite For All Occasions
We rented this 3+ bedroom house (there was a 4th “room” listed as a living room with an extra pull out couch) for a bachelorette party and it was absolutely perfect. A little small, but stocked with everything we needed and plenty of outside/porch space. We had seven people staying and it felt like we had all the space and things we needed. Also a very short and easy walk to downtown Paso, which we did several times during our stay. Overall, would absolutely recommend and rent again.

A great place for a quiet stay in Historic Paso Robles. This house is over 100 hundred years and there is character throughout. There is a lovely back yard and garden, great for sipping wine and bbq after a full day of wine tasting!

Perfect for 4 adults and 1 infant. No complaints, the kitchen and two bathrooms are nicely renovated. The house is spacious. About a 10 minute walk to the center of town. The firepit outside was a nice touch in the late afternoons when it got colder.

Cute house and well equipped.
Excellent location. Just a few minutes walk to the town area. Well equipped house. Checking in and out was seamless. The only negative is the central heating didn’t seem to connect to the bedrooms and it was cold on the days we were there.

Great place to stay and great location. We only had trouble with the temperature inside the house. The windows could not be opened and the air did not cool enough in the bedrooms, even with the air set to the maximum temperature allowed at 73 degrees.

Cute Downtown Historic Home
Overall, the house was a cute home located in downtown Paso. Our favorite parts of it were the outside side seating area. We were able to chat with a few neighbors as they were walking by. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the front porch while waiting for our uber drivers.

Great location & house
This is a great home in a great neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and the property manager was great. Our only issue was that the water heater would frequent trip the breaker. The manager was aware of this and will be fixing it soon.

Perfect in Paso
The Poe House was a great home for our family of 5 adults to spend the Thanksgiving weekend. Location is close to town (~10 minutes walking) and wineries (~30 minutes driving). Check in process was simple and straight-forward. We found the house very clean and well-appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is large and stocked with pots and pans to make Thanksgiving dinner (I brought my own roasting and pie pans). On the day of our stay we needed to contact the property manager, who were very responsive and sent a worker out immediately. We also met the owner who was very kind and gave great suggestions of what to visit during our stay. Thanks, Poe House!

Excellent house for two families!
We picked this house because it was close to where our daughters were competing in a horse show. We are so thrilled to have stayed in this house that reminded me of my grandmas house! We would definitely stay here again! Super clean and very friendly staff. It had everything we needed!

Beautiful, comfortable home
The Poe House is a beautiful home with excellent amenities. The yard was inviting and wonderful -- lots of great spaces, plants, and hummingbirds! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

50th Birthday Getaway
We were more than delighted to see the property upon arrival. The house is adorable with lots of room inside and out. We enjoyed coffee on the side porch, breakfast around the fire pit and happy hour in the back yard. It was walking distance into town and perfectly located for winery visits. The only suggestion for this otherwise perfect property is to upgrade the mattresses for comfort and sound (lots of squeaking when you roll over) and the air conditioning does not go under 73. All three bedrooms were a bit warm during the night. With that said, we would certainly stay there again!

Wonderful stay in Paso Robles
We enjoyed a quick weekend stay at the Poe House, it was perfect for our family of 4, there is plenty of room and the house is very well stocked with everything you need. It’s very charming, the kitchen is great, we loved the historical feel and well manicured garden. The proximity to town is great, and we appreciated being able to bring our fur baby, too! Would definitely return and highly recommend to others.
