“Booked a double and twin room. Twin room had more recently been refurnished, furniture in double was a bit tired. Both rooms were lovely and clean. Beds were comfortable and there was a good choice of hot drinks.”

“The staff were welcoming, even asked if we needed help taking our luggage to our room. The room was big and spacious, did have issues trying to turn the temperature down on the shower, but manage to work it out in the end. Went to the bar in the evening, very relaxing, the only downside was due to beibg short staff, they were struggling to keep on top of the washing up. Had a lovely sleep and the continental breakfast was good, staff did ask if we wanted to upgrade to a cooked breakfask, but...

“3 nights family stay, the gym is small but well equipped, the location is gorgeous and the housekeeping was outstanding. Breakfast is very good but could improve in terms of variety. The restaurant has a limited menu and is the same of the bar. The service was very slow in general. Wifi was fast and very stable. Excellent value in general for the money .”

“Exactly as website reviews state. Very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good parking and reasonable priced. We would definitely stay again, as well as I would highly recommend this place. Plus we had a really good night’s sleep as the bed was really comfortable. ”

“My first time here, as the hotel in Derby where I usually stay was fully booked. The hotel is 1 mn walk from the train station and 5 mn walk from the shopping centre. If you have a car, there is a nice private car park for the guests. I had a single room. Room was fine to be a single, but the bathroom is very small. Also bed is not very confortable. Very good wi-fi connection. Breakfast was ok and same for the restaurant in the evening”

We were gloriously entertained throughout the evening by Chris and wonderful magic and card tricks. The location and village is charming and we were made welcome by locals. Overall a lovely time had”
