Comfortable hotel right into the center. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bigger shower could be an improvement. Breakfast was very good

Consiglio vivamente un soggiorno al Grand Palace
Ottimo Hotel. Posizione centralissima. Staff cortese e attento ai dettagli. Camera ben isonorizzata e molto confortevole (twin superior room) con letto comodissimo. Bagno dotato di grande quantità di biancheria, di pantofoline e bilancia. Rubinetteria di design. Eccezionale la sauna e il bagno turco da prenotare un'ora prima. Colazione ricca, uova bacon e crepes preparati all'istante, caffè ottimo. Fiori sempre freschi sui tavoli e belle porcellane. Anche il ristorante è all'altezza del resto con servizio efficiente e curato. Che altro dire? La pulizia è degna di un hotel a cinque stelle. Quanto al parcheggio, che va pagato a parte, lo staff ha cura di sistemare l'auto. Insomma esperienza estremamente positiva, anzi superiore alle aspettative.

Consigliabile
Mio marito ed io abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel la seconda settimana di Agosto. Siamo arrivati in hotel in taxi (dista solo un quarto d'ora di macchina dall' aeroporto) e prontamente le nostre valigie sono state portate nella hall, dove ad attenderci c'era un gentile addetto molto professionale. Peccato che ci abbia consegnato 1 chiave (non la tessera...) in due e non ci abbiano accompagnati in stanza... considerando che si tratta di un 5* lusso me lo sarei aspettata. La stanza: pulitissima, compreso il bagno (un po' piccolo, ma con accappatoi morbidissimi!), molto confortevole, silenziosa (al quarto piano); peccato che manchi il set bollitore (molto utile quando si rientra dalle visite e dato il clima non proprio caldo...) e i canali italiani siano limitati a RAI 1. Una grande coccola: verso sera la camera viene riassetta e preparata per la notte: cambio degli asciugamani, bottiglietta d'acqua su ciascun comodino, cioccolatino e scendi piedi. La colazione a buffet forse quantitativamente migliorabile. Il ristorante eccezionale! Ultima nota: l' hotel più vicino alla Piazza del Duomo.

Grand Palace Hotel Riga a pochi minuti dal centro storico
Hotel con ottimo servizio di pulizia in camera (due volte al giorno) Personale disponibile e molto cortese Piacevole la sosta serale al bar per un the o per il classico Riga Balsam. Colazione abbondante che soddisfa appieno ogni gusto, sia dolce che salata (tra le varie scelte : pesce ottimo e pasticceria deliziosa) Ottima posizione nella Old Riga da dove a piedi si raggiungono tutte le zone turistiche di maggiore interesse. Consigliato assolutamente.

Dieses Hotel hat leider ihre besten Jahre hinter sich. Der verstaubte Charme lässt anmuten, dass es sicherlich mal ein gehobenes Hotel war, aber unseren Erwartungen eines Leading Hotel of the World heute, entspricht es definitiv nicht! Die Speiseauswahl am Frühstücksbuffet war dürftig und nicht einladend! Die hellhörigen Zimmer, wie auch das Badezimmer sind renovierungsbedürftig, benutztes Geschirr wurde nicht abgeräumt, Wasser nicht aufgefüllt! Die Mitarbeiter bemühen sich sehr und sind wirklich freundlich, aber dennoch kann man hier nicht über die fehlenden Annehmlichkeiten hinweg sehen! Was uns aber sehr geärgert hat war, dass nirgends in den Beschreibungen erwähnt wurde , dass die Bar eine Raucher Bar ist!! Wollte man etwas trinken, musste man den Zigarren Qualm ertragen und stank danach widerlich. Unsere Beschwerde über die fehlende Information interessierte hier niemanden!

All good as always
I arrived in the afternoon after 2 1/2 hour drive and was met with a smiling receptionist who had me swiftly checked in. Visited the bar for a tea with a friend before going out for dinner. Great service and offer. It was a treasure. Breakfast is also super. This time was no exception. I have met some of the staff since 2008 and that is a measure of a great place to work. Looking forward to my next visit

Good location. Old and not maintained. I’ve asked to be moved, because of the noise and the bells that goes off 8 in the morning. I was refused. The lady at the front desk told me, “ the noise in not a good enough reason for you to move rooms” And the hotel bar smells like an ashtray. They allowed to smoke in the bar area. As you can imagine the smell travels all over the hotel lobby.

Excellent hotel- they just get everything right, even dealing with problems. At one point we were miscommunicated breakfast time but the staff were so fantastic at dealing with the problem by ensuring that we were looked after that it not only wasn’t a problem - it was turned into a big positive. They take customer service very seriously. Excellent experience all round - other hotels could learn a lot. Great food. Lovely location. And very quiet l. All round well done !

Dejligt og centralt hotel
Dejlig forlænget weekend på dette hotel. Stort og behageligt værelse. Sengen var lige lidt for hård til os, men vi var udhvilede da vi stod op. Lækker morgenmad af friske ingredienser og så indbydende ud. Rigtig god service lige fra ankomst til afgang af hele hotellets personale. Rigtig god rengøring. Hotellet ligger meget centralt og lige rundt om hjørnet fra julemarked. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen.

Another great stay at Grand Palace - RIGA
Grand Palace is not only a wonderful hotel, but also has charm and probably the best bar in Riga. Íve been staying here since 2007 and the hotel is keeping it´s standard. Only challenge can be the time to get cooked breakfast delivered to order.

Very nice hotel. Was on a beautiful street. Close to restaurants and sights of the town. Room was quiet and comfortable. Was a very pleasant stay, just didn’t quite feel like a 5 star hotel.

Virkelig dejligt hotel, god placering. Mange restauranter og gå afstand til det meste. Operaen kan anbefales og KGB museet.

Hotel hvor de kresne blir fornøyd
Overall veldig gjennomført og klassisk hotell hvor de som ønsker det lille ekstra kan nyte det. Veldig bra frokost. PS! Litt vel mye sigaraktivitet i baren til info for de som ikke liker det
