Fantastic hosts in a great neighborhood
Just back from a short stay at this property. We were three couples and the apartment was perfect for what we wanted. Note the stairs - you have to be up for those - but as long as you are cool with that piece the rest of this place is great. It is an excellent location and the property and amenities are everything you'd want. Most importantly to me - these are people that greet you coming and going and make sure you are all set and enjoyed your stay. To me that is a real indicator of a host that is proud of their property and will stand behind it. Highly recommend!

Amazing place and host
Max went above and beyond. Not only is his house beautiful and comfortable, but he has thought of every detail to make guests feel welcome. There was a huge basket of fruit, cookies, candles, juice, soda, and more. The furniture is super comfortable and lovely, the location is literally a few blocks from the Pantheon and in the middle of a lovely neighborhood. 10 out of 10 stars!

Super location, super apartment, and wonderful proprietor
The apartment is exactly as advertised. The location is close to major attractions, walking distance to almost everywhere of interest for the able bodied, with a good supermarket steps away. Coffee and restaurants right there, and they are good. Massimo was a most gracious host. He took all the time needed to respond to questions on our arrival, and is very prompt in responding to questions that might arise. He was there in an instant when the apartment needed attention. We were a family of 7, 3 generations, and managed very well. Highly recommended.

Perfect apartment in safe area!
This property is a 5 star/top notch! Clean, full of extras (shampoo, soaps, hair dryers, slippers, filled refrigerator with milk, water, soda, fruit), washer/dryer, lots of extras in the kitchen, Air conditioner units in each bedroom and living area. We couldn't think of 1 item that the owner needed or missed. Very clean. Very beautifully appointed. Location was perfect for our group. Thank you Max for a perfect holiday at your lovely property! Beautiful apartment
Max is a wonderful person to work with. From beginning to check out. He always answers questions promptly. Max met us at the door show us how everything worked and made us feel very welcome. We were able to drop off our luggage early and walked around and have lunch. It is in a great location with plenty of sightseeing and places to eat. When we returned the apartment was not only cleaned but stocked with a beautiful fresh fruit bowl. Coffee and some sweets for the morning. I would stay there and any of his other rental properties. Thanks for you hospitality Max.

Loved our stay here!
If you’re considering booking this rental, do it! By far the absolute best rental experience we’ve ever had. Max is a phenomenal host and went above and beyond to help us in every way, even before we arrived. He sent us helpful info before our trip about the area and things to do, offered assistance with transport, tour bookings etc. The apartment was spotless clean and stocked with welcome basket of fruit, drinks, coffee, soap, paper products, everything you could need. Even little slippers in each bedroom! It was so nice to be able to just show up and relax after a long flight. It felt like a hotel experience in that way. The building is so beautiful and historic, but apartment is completely updated and has all modern amenities you could need while still maintaining the historic charm. Beds were comfortable too! The location is perfect- walkable to everything and right by a charming square with coffee, cafes, shops. Can’t say enough great things about this place and host- can’t wait to come back!!

Great hospitality, Amazing apartment & Location
Max (the host) greeted us when we arrived and provided everything we could need including a welcome basket of food and drinks. He even helped arranged our airport transfers. The apartment was exactly as described. It was beautiful and comfortable. It even had toys available for my nephews. He provided travel books and maps. He also had charging stations in every room so you could always have your devices fully charged as you head out. The apartment location was perfect. There is a mini grocery store down the block. There was so much to see just walking around the neighborhood. We are right by the Pantheon which was fun to visit during the day but also at night with the restaurants, fountain and entertainment (locals were singing in the square)! I wish we could stayed longer in the apartment and Rome! Thank you Massimo!

Must stay at this apartment
I have never met a host as welcoming and accommodating. You must stay in this apartment. It is central to everything. The home amenities are above and beyond. You can tell the host is well traveled, as he has thought of anything that you as a traveler would want. I would tell anyone traveling to Rome they must reserve this unit. We had mutiple things we needed advice or help with, in our planning. Our host provided immediate assistance and made our trip memorable.

Great Location
Our family had a great time staying at this apartment in the peak of the 2023 Heat Wave! Massimo is super responsive and had great suggestions for restaurants and navigating the city. I would recommend taking Massimo up on the offer of arranging a car from/to airport or train station, it makes everything much less stressful than pulling luggage through the city. There are grocery stores, restaurants steps away. Our family of eight fit comfortably in the space and it was nice to be close enough to come back midday to cool off. Thanks again for everything Max!

Outstanding flat and host!
The flat was very comfortable for both our families. Everything we needed was at our finger tips. It’s a beautiful historic flat fully renovated with every convenience. The location is perfect as well. Our only regret is not staying longer in this amazing home.

The best VRBO in Rome
Massimo (Max) is an outstanding host. He helped us with transportation both on arrival and departure. He created a very welcoming atmosphere when we first arrived and was readily available if we had any questions. The suite is located just a short walk from the Pantheon and plenty of cafe’s. Almost any site that you would want to visit is an easy 15 minute walk or less. The central location along with Max make this the best VRBO in Rome. We will definitely seek this home out when we return!

An A+ Place in Rome
My family and I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Rome! I can write a long list but I will only list some of my important items. You really need to see this place in person... - A FANTASTIC Host. Made transportation arrangements for pick up and drop off. Very friendly and caring. - Elevator - A big help. After 10-15 miles of walking each day you probably don't want to claim stairs. - 2 Washer and 1 dryer. A huge help for travel light. - Centrally located. My kids and I woke up early took pictures of the Fountain & Pantheon when no other people visiting. Only 5 minutes walk. The best coffee shop in Rome is 2 minutes walk. - Very comfortable beds. - Dependable, fast and secured internet.

Definitely the place for a large group
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Max and his property! He was very communicative before the trip. He set up transportation for us from the airport, to the port and from the port back to the airport when our cruise returned. He sent so many suggestions of restaurants and things to do. The apartment was beautiful, very clean and filled with amenities!! Max was there to check us in and help us when we left! He made sure to have a place for our luggage on the day we checked out before we left for our cruise. The apartment is literally right next to the Panthéon and around fabulous restaurants and shops! I definitely recommend this property!!

Don’t stay anywhere else
Amazing home. This is the very best VBRO I have ever stayed. Max, the host made us feel like family. So responsive answering all my questions before the trip. He arranged drivers to pick us up from airport and during our entire stay. To welcome us Max had an amazing fruit tray, beer wine, cheese and snacks. The fridge was full. The place has an ice maker and this American loves her ice. Super comfy beds and the location is amazing. Literally a 3 min walk to the pantheon and several restaurants. The streets are cobble stone and are so cute. The building is from 1600’s. If you are blessed that Max has an opening, grab it. The memories of Max home with our family of 9 will last a lifetime.

The Perfect Roman Holiday
This apartment was the perfect home away from home. It is centrally located and allows you to walk to almost everything Rome has to offer in under 30 min. The apartment was large and spacious, thus allowing our large family ample room to relax after a long day out and about in Rome. Our host, Max, was so on top of it! From booking the apartment, to answering questions, and needs that popped up during our stay… Max was friendly and on top of it! I would HIGHLY recommend this place for your next Roman holiday.

Excellent Property, Excellent Location
This property checks all the boxes! We stayed here during a quick three day stop in Rome. The location is fantastic- literally in the middle of all the sites and restaurants. The apartment itself is clean, comfortable, and ranks among the best stocked properties we’ve ever rented. We could have easily stayed much longer than we did. Fantastic In All Ways
Our stay could not have been better. Max is an amazing host, and goes out of his way to be helpful and responsive. Awesome location
We spent three days in the apartment in the end of January 23. The communication with the owner, Max, was fantastic from the beginning of the booking to the end of the journey. He organized the transfer from and to the airport on request and gave us a lot of helpful information about restaurants, bars and so on in the neighborhood. The apartment itself is located on the 3rd floor with an easy access to the elevator on the floor. It is very well maintained with everything you need for a short trip to Rome with a group of friends or a large family. We all felt like coming home all the days after exploring Rome day by day. If I could give more than five stars for the location, I would do so. Summary: Perfect.

Fantastic property in central location
We are so pleased we booked this property. The owner Max was brilliant to deal with. Very informative, giving us lots of information on places of interest and places to eat before we arrived. He organised our transport to and from the airport. He met us at the property and talked us through how everything worked. There was a huge bowl of fruit and a fridge full of goodies which we thoroughly enjoyed. Very spacious property and ideal for our family party of 7. The property is centrally located with all the major places of interest within walking distance. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We can thoroughly recommend.

O apartamento de Massimo, além de muito confortável e ser exatamente como descrito no site, é bem localizado, próximos às principais atrações de Roma. Walking distance do Pantheon, PiazzaNavona, Fontana de Trevi entre outras. Além de próximo a supermercados, farmácias e ótimos restaurantes. Um verdadeiro achado! E Massimo é na verdade um überhost! Nos recebeu muito bem, providenciando tudo o que uma família com bebês pequenos necessita após um voo de 11hs! São estes gestos que tornam a nossa viagem ainda melhor! Com certeza voltaremos!

Incredible!!
We arrived in Rome and were thoroughly impressed with Massimo's property. The ease of communication, the professionalism, and the convenience he provided to us set the tone for the rest of our trip. Everything from airport and train terminal transfers to restaurant recommendations and everything in between was fantastic. Amazing central location with easy walking access to a majority of central Rome's historic monuments and piazza's! The apartment itself was stocked with coffee, water, all of the amenities and even a huge fruit basket and wine bottle that was all complimentary! Would easily recommend to anyone looking for a great stay in Rome.

Superior space and service
Communication was top notch from the beginning. Apartment was centrally located and fabulous. It was stocked with drinks, a huge bowl of fruit and snacks. Massimo, the owner greeted us and explained everything and answered all our questions. Layout was terrific for a 3 generation group of family members aged 11-76. Decor was carefully chosen and beautiful. Can’t say enough good things. Book this now!!!!

Most welcome host and location
The flat has everything that we possibly need. Space is large to accomodate all of us (6). Max welcomed us with large basket of fruits, coffee, tea, snack, cookies, and items in the fridge including water, juice, milk, beers, soft drink. He really spoiled his guess. The location is excellent. We are still in Italy visiting Florence, Rome, and now in Positano. Max really put all other hosts we have to shame, they should take a course from him, :-).

Quick stay in Rome
Great central location and excellently cared for large apartment in the center of Rome. We were there in early August during a heat wave and air conditioner worked so well couldn’t get my kids out of the apartment. Wish our stay was longer.

We are a party of 9 adults, friends and family, who had a wonderful stay at Rione VIII Sant’Eustachio. Perfect Rental in Rome
This vacation apartment has everything you could want in a rental. It is a fantastic place, in impeccable condition, well-stocked, and in a great and central location near all of the major attractions. On top of that, the host/manager was extremely responsive, and just an all-around great guy. I couldn’t recommend this one more for a family vacation in Rome.

Roman Holiday in the Center of it All
We had a wonderful time in Rome. The house was well laid out for a large family 6 or 7 comfortably or a group. The historic building with the modern touches. The kitchen was new and easy to use as was the washer and dryer. The temps rose throughout the day and the portable air conditioning in each room was refreshing after busy days walking from the Parthenon to The Vatican to the Colosseum and to the many museums and restaurants that dot the area. Right in the neighborhood there is a supermarket, restaurants, cafes and transport (trains, buses and taxi stands). From booking to leaving we have never felt so welcome. Max took care of everything - recommending transfers, restaurants and check/check out. Would highly recommend.

There is no better place to stay when in Rome!
I can’t say enough about how wonderful this apartment is, not to mention Max, the owner. The apartment is so centrally located. We literally walked to every site we saw! The Pantheon and Piazza Navona are nearly in your backyard. The apartment is clean, very comfortable and well appointed. We were three adults (the oldest being 79) and two teenagers and there was more then enough room for everyone to spread out. Max was so helpful in arranging a car service for us and was always available to answer any questions. I would absolutely stay here again and again and can only hope I get the chance to do so!

Good Amenities, Superb Location, Comfort and Convenience -- It's all good.
Most in our group are seniors, so we filtered our search for central location and an elevator. This apartment met both criteria and then delivered a wealth of amenities that made our two-week visit to Rome comfortable. The place is sparkling clean. The bedrooms all are a good size with ample closet space and nice linens. The big living room and dining room were ideal. The good quality appliances work well. Even an ice machine! Because the host provided good supplies of the correct dishwasher and laundry soaps, there was no risk of selecting the wrong thing. For food and supplies we needed to buy, the Carrefour Express shop was our friend. It's practically at the door, and it is a good source for household products, groceries, water, wine, etc. Generous hours of service. The deli counter has a limited menu, but good quality and low prices. A beautiful apartment with necessities like that store and a post office at the doorstep would be good, but when it's all within an easy stroll of the Pantheon and Largo Torre Argentina, I have to rate this spot exceptionally good. Add the luxury of quiet and security, and you have a real gem. Torre Argentina is a hub for bus, tram, and taxi service, so all Rome is accessible. We bought ATAC passes at the tobacco shop across the square from the coffee bar -- another positive point for the location. Even superb ice cream at Gunther's; what's not to like? What do you want to learn from a review except the good points about location and quality of the interior? A+ for both. But then there is Max, the owner/host. What a gentleman! Max is prompt to respond, and he replied to all our questions with a competent yes. Transport to and from the airport; yes. Day trip driver; yes. Maid service schedule; yes. Restaurant recommendations; yes. Local guides; yes. Unravelling confusions; yes and with patience. Max is communicative and helpful without fail. It is easy to recommend this property.

Classic 1640 residence
Our family of 7 had the pleasure of renting this beautiful residence located in a building built in 1640. Massimo has decorated this place impeccably. He has thought of everything you might need(or forgot) for a perfect stay. The fruit bowl was amazing and the fridge was filled with the basics including local beer. There were plenty of windows providing light. The bedrooms were large. Bathrooms were beautiful and the water was always hot. Massimo went beyond and provided us with a bounty of information regarding the city. He also arranged for transportation. The location was a stones throw from Campo Di Fiori and the pantheon. Most attractions were only a 15 minute walk. The location was perfect. This was absolutely the best stay we have ever had at a private rental. Massimo has thought of everything. Thank you for such excellent hospitality.

Best host
We had a great time in Rome staying at Massimo’s flat. The location is central to everything that you must see in a three day stay. Massimo made everything very easy for us including transportation from airport and train station. The apartment was spotless and very spacious for out group of seven. Thank you Max. We will be returning hopefully soon.

Amazing Christmas in Rome
We spent a week in Rome over Christmas at Max's lovely apartment. Everything was amazing. We were 5 adults and three teens and the apartment worked well for us in terms of space. The location can't be beat, everything about the apartment was great - clean, good appliances, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds, etc. We couldn't ask for more. And, Max was the ultimate host. He was so accommodating and gracious - answering all my questions and going out of his way to help accommodate my multiple requests to help us have a Christmas that was both "like home" and away from home. I cannot recommend the apartment or Max enough! And, one other tip - the rooftop patio/bar of the nearby Pantheon Hotel (right behind the apartment) is an amazing place to see the sunset over the city. We will be sure to book this apartment and work with Max the next time we are in Rome!

Wir hatten ein Familientreffen in Rom, die Wohnung war perfekt. Weitläufig mit einem zentralen gemeinsamen Wohnraum. Die zentrale Lage in Rom war optimal, für uns war alles fußläufig erreichbar. Massimo ist ein freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und aufmerksamer Vermieter.

Best vacation rental.
I have been staying in VRBO properties for 9 years and this was the best property and the best host in all those years.. The apartment is beautiful and Max is most gracious. He was very helpful with planning before the trip and available to answer questions when we arrived. He stocked the fridge and fruit bowl with delicious food. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable. The location is perfect. Look no further. Book this apartment if it’s available!

Best welcome we've ever received
Max was waiting for us outside of the building, helped us up with our luggage, walked us through the house and details, then showed us everything he had available for us. It included great suggestions of places to go, a giant bowl of fresh fruit, milk, espresso, coffee, juice, water, sparkling wine, candy... I'm sure I'm missing something! We were all so impressed. The flat itself was absolutely perfect. Clean and comfortable. The location was great. Max was super responsive and helped us secure transportation and deal with a neighborhood power outage. We couldn't ask for more.

Great place to stay in Rome
The location and the apartment are perfect. Max was an excellent host and even arranged transportation to/from the airport. The Pantheon, Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are all within walking distance. The apartment is wonderful too. I’m looking forward to a return trip.

Better than expected!
Massimo was great to work with. He helped us with several restaurant recommendations and also took care of reservations for us. In regards to the rooms the Air conditioning was very good , clean and adequate space for all 7 Adults. Everything stated in the summary was accurate Massimo is a great host and will take care of you from the moment you land to the moment you are on your way home. You wont be dis apointed Massimo will see us again!

Pantheon apartment
This apartment is amazing! Spacious, stylish, and centrally located which was incredibly convenient. Max was there to greet when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. He gave us a tour of the place and showed us all the ins and outs so we could stay there comfortably. He even took the time to stock the fridge and bathrooms so we had everything we needed as soon as our vacation started. I recommend booking your stay here 1000%.
