Up hill climb
Apartment has no car access. Extremely difficult walk up steep pathway/ stairs. Suitable only for young or very athletic and not average person. Walkway is very slippery when wet, so proceed with caution. House had some issues and were dealt with . Furniture is very uncomfortable. The view from balcony is absolutely breathtaking Stayed April 10th thru May 1st 2024

Fantastic view.
We enjoyed our stay - the apartment was clean and what we expected. However the master bed was not very comfortable and the wifi connection was not good. The terrace view both during the day snd at night was fantastic.

Our stay
A nice place with a million dollar view, lots of character, but walking alot of hills carring groc everyday, but it was good excerise, wifi never works, could never use phone, always had to walk that hike to make plans. It would connect but then only last a couple mintues. If that worked, things would have been easier.

Lovely characterful apartment with magnificent views of the bay from the large balcony. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. The Wi-Fi was intermittent which made planning trips a bit difficult. It was a good walk into Sorrento and we found the road an easier/ quicker walk as less hilly. We knew the apartment didn’t have air con when we booked but as we went in the hottest two weeks of the year a couple of more robust fans would have been helpful. We did enjoy our stay though and will be back too Sorrento in the future.

We liked the building which was full of character. We were very disappointed by the lack of Wi-Fi. If it did connect it would only last for a couple of minutes. This made making plans difficult. The walk to town was manageable though. The view from the balcony was excellent.

Fantastic View of the Bay of Naples
The property was a little confusing. It seemed like you were in someone’s home with a lot of personal items around. Two of the three beds were very uncomfortable and the wi-fi was really poor. The view from the balcony however, was outstanding. Bus service to Sorrento was very convenient.

Incredible view
We were very early in the season (April 4 to 11), and the weather was unseasonably cold, so we didn’t get to spend as much time on the balcony as we would have liked. Edoardo was very responsive and communicated in English, but he was in Rome so working with his on-site people who didn’t speak English was a challenge, but we got through it. The unit itself is spacious, tends to be a little gloomy, as not all the outside louvres work, limiting natural light. The primary bedroom is a queen size bed, but is actually two smaller mattresses which don’t quite match creating a hard rift down the middle. We also didn’t have a car, which considering parking limitations and traffic was a good decision. This location is best for people in good physical shape. Just the walk to the grocery store or nearest cafe would be a challenge otherwise. Highly recommend the Ristorante Verdemare just up the street. Excellent food and service . Over all, we enjoyed our time in Sorrento.

Property mgr was very nice. The view is spectacular.! The water is not drinkable and the floors were not very clean. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.

Excellent apartment with fantastic view
The apartment is a peaceful hideaway in a beautiful, scenic part of Sorrento. It's a10 minute walk into the town taking the shortcut to the left of the property and very safe for children. The bus stops outside on the main road if you don't fancy the walk. The apartment has stunning views over the bay and the sunsets are spectacular from the balcony . Edoardo and Sofia were excellent hosts and always available to answer any questions. We'd highly recommend this property and would definitely return.

Wonderful
From booking, communication with Edoardo was excellent. We were told to be dropped off at the Britannia hotel (this is worth noting as you can’t get to the property by car). Facing the hotel, to the right there are steps. These take you directly to the property which is on your left 105m up. This is not a difficult walk at all (unlike some reviews) and is worth every step for the view from the balcony. The location is really quiet and the balcony is amazing to relax on after a long day of adventuring. We spent much of our time out there just looking out to sea at the ships coming in and the boats going by, and of course being in awe of Mount Vesuvius. The apartment itself is traditionally Italian. It did feel like we were staying in someone’s house with lots of furniture, pictures, ornaments etc, but this only added to its charm. The kitchen is really well equipped. It really did have everything we needed. When we read the reviews about the main road into town, we did worry a little with having children, but we found the perfect way down into the town that nobody else seems to have found (much safer). Turn left out of the gate, follow the path/road until you get to a small parking area on your left with amazing views out to sea. Just after this there are a few steps on the left down onto another path while the road you have been walking on forks up to the right. Follow the steps down and take a sharp left turn at the bottom, walk down the path then take a short right turn. At the bottom of this path, cross the road at the zebra crossing and turn right (watch out for cars and scooters… they don’t always stop). Following this narrow path along the road, takes you straight into the town. It’s also worth knowing that if you follow this path, walk straight ahead through town, cross a very large zebra crossing and a little further along take a right turn up past an amazing gelato parlour called David’s, just up here you will find the train station- this is your gateway to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Mount Versuvius and Naples. Getting to places yourself saves you a fortune. We had the best holiday and if we returned with family, we would always look out for Edoardo’s apartment. Thank you so much!

Loved our stay. Eudardo was the perfect host. Very clean property. We’re able to meet him and Silvia. Wonderful people. We are older and exercise twice a week. As others have said it has a challenging incline from the taxi drop off to the front gate. Didn’t bother us. The hosts were wonderful.

Perfect home from home
7 of us stayed in the villa and there was plenty of space to not feel cramped. It was spotlessly clean and there were plenty of supplies so you could relax without having to get in the household essentials! The location is beautiful with a lovely view of the bay, there was a big thunderstorm on our last night and what a view I had to watch with a glass of local wine from the closest shop we had! The property is a little difficult to find when you first arrive but if you can find the Hotel Britannia (which is easy as it's on the main road) and not stop at the bottom of the road leading to the Hotel Bristol (my fault for researching on google street map before our holiday) then you will be fine, to be fair it is on the details for the property, typical bloke knows best incident if I'm honest... I was a little worried before our visit due to the reviews of the difficulty of the walk to the villa from town but we all managed it fine and that includes a 4 year old and an 8 year old with no moaning, the only thing to watch is the road, there is no footpath for the final part and it can be busy but the locals seem used to it and give you a wide birth when passing in their cars, bikes, buses etc.. We would stay here again if we were going back to Sorrento, great location, great value, helpful owners.

Fantastic appaartment
Just got back from 7 nights in this charming apartment . It was easy to find and has the most spectacular views over the bay of Naples. It was a climb to get to it so not recommended for the less able . We are 60+ and quite fit so it wasn't a problem. Well worth it for the view. Would stay here again.

Authentic Vintage Italian Property
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment . It’s old fashioned but in a good way. It looks as though it was previously a family home and so there is a lot of big old furniture throughout. The rooms are spacious, the outside terrace with views over the bay and the volcano is fabulous. The 2nd bathroom is a curious affair as it’s kind of outside but inside as well. I showered out there all the time so no problem at all. Yes the walk up the main road has to be taken with care , but if you are sensible and pay attention to the traffic you will be fine. There’s also a fairly steep pathway up to the apartment from the road but if you’re not too unfit it’s also fine. The reward for a bit of effort is the enjoyment of the terrace views and al fresco dining and relaxing. I’d revisit this place for sure.

Great views, clean and well-equipped.
Amazing terrace with gorgeous views. Apartment is spacious and breezy. Two bathrooms and three good sized bedrooms. Spacious kitchen and dining area. Only drawback is that the road to/from town doesn’t have a sidewalk for the final stretch to the apartment, and drivers go very fast past pedestrians, so you need to be extremely careful.

A little bit of Sorrento
We had a lovely time staying in this traditional home. Lots of space in both living area and bedrooms. Comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. The very roomy balcony with seaviews was a favourite for everyone. . Getting to house requires a up hill walk, not for the faint hearted on a hot day, but well worth it. No air conditioning but a good fan available. Thank you to all who made our stay so pleasant

The Vesuvius View!
Close enough to the Historic District so that we could walk there. We liked having a well-equipped kitchen to be able to make breakfasts and several evening meals. The "caretakers", Franco and Olga, were kind and helpful. The view of Vesuvius was spectacular everyday! Enjoyed watching the sunset every evening.

Not quite what we expected.
The property is very "Old world" Italian with old style furniture but with all modern amenities. Plenty of towels , soaps etc. The beds were comfortable and at night it is very peaceful and quiet. For the UK visitor whilst there is satellite TV, I couldn't find any English channels, not important to me personally but may be to others. For me personally however there is one big draw back which just doesn't seem to be covered in the description, access and parking. Unless you have a car the size of a smart for two, maybe a fiat 500 although I doubt it, you will not be parking within 300 yards of the property even though the description does offer parking. The apartment is down a VERY narrow walkway, again sadly, not mentioned in the details. It is very difficult if not nigh on impossible to find on your first visit and you will need the owner to guide you in, which he is very happy to do. Just head for the rear entrance of the Hotel Bristol and wait there or walk up through the hotel. You will also have to be reasonably able bodied to climb the hills to get to the apartment by foot from the main town. The reason I can only score 3 stars is solely because of the lack of attention bought to the access problems I have described, if not for this I would happily score 5.

Nous avons passé un tres bon sejour. Appartement très bien placé, bien équipé avec une jolie vue. Accueil tres chaleureux et des propriétaires tres avenants. Seul bémol le lit très dur qui nous a empêché de trouver un sommeil réparateur... mais pour le reste je recommande cet appartement.

An amazing time in Sorrento
We spent almost 2 weeks in this lovely apartment. The views are amazing and worth the walk up to it. This is not a walk for the faint hearted or anyone with mobility issues. We loved our time there and used it as a base to explore the wonderful Amalfi coast. Lemons from the garden were lovely. A spacious apartment but we spent most of the time in the apartment on the balcony which was perfect for sitting out and viewing the Bay of Naples. Thank you for our stay

Lovely traditional apartment with a stunning view

This is a lovely, spacious, airy, cool and meticulously clean apartment with stunning views.
We had a wonderful time using this as our base for investigating the beautiful winding streets of Sorrento but also using public transport to get to the ruins at Pompeii, go up Vesuvius and look into its crater but also around the idyllic coast of Almalfi and Positano. The walk down (and therefore up on your return) into Sorrento old town is one for the mobility able only and beware of the pedestrian crossing at the bottom - they do not stop even when you are on the crossing - a quick trip to the nearby hospital was required when a car knocked me off my feet when using this crossing. However the supermarket is the last shop before the assent back to the apartment for carrying groceries and water and the view from the balcony of the twinkling lights of the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius as it’s backdrop and stunning the sunsets and the slices of sweet lemon from the garden’s very own lemon groves in your aperitif makes the sweat worth it!! We’ve returned home with lovely memories.

Lovely apartment high over Sorrento
We had such a lovely stay in this apartment. Mrs. Olga and Mr. Franco were very warm and helpful upon our arrival... particularly assisting with finding parking for our car. There really is no "off street parking" available, as stated in the description, unless you drive a motorcycle. We ended up spending an additional 120 euros for parking over the week. Still, loved the location high over Sorrento and the nice ten minute hike up to get to the apartment, and the balcony with its amazing views and citrus trees below. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Schön, aber laut
Positiv: -Natürlich der großartige Panoramblick von der sehr großzügigen Terrasse -direkt um das Haus sind die typtischen Zitronenplantagen -wir haben es genossen, so viel Platz in der geräumigen Wohnung zu haben -viele Handtücher, viel Geschirr -Einrichtung mit wenig IKEA, dafür aber schönen alten Massivholzmöbeln, so dass alles sehr wohnlich und gemütlich wirkt -freundliche Begrüßung und Verabschiedung durch Olga, die in der unteren Wohnung mit ihrer Familie lebt und die Übergabe macht -Schöne Wanderungen sind direkt vom Haus aus möglich, was wir mehrfach genutzt haben. Kostenlose Wanderkarte gibt es in der Touristen-Information. Negativ: -der Lärm der Straße Sorrent-Massa Lubrense ist dank der vielen Motorräder und Busse leider deutlich zu hören, auch wenn die Straße deutlich tiefer als das Haus liegt -Leider lebt in der Wohnung darüber ein offensichtlich schwerhöriger Rentner, der von frühmorgens bis in die Nacht in voller Lautstärke Radio und Fernsehen laufen lässt, was den Erholungswert unseres Aufenthaltes doch sehr gemindert hat. Ohrstöpsel daher mitnehmen. -In zwei Nachbarhäusern werden sehr aggressive, große Wachhunde gehalten, an denen man jedesmal auf dem Fußweg in die Stadt vorbei muss, was wir als sehr unangenehm empfunden haben. Selbst nach 10 Tagen hatten sich diese nicht an uns gewöhnt. Fazit: Schöne Wohnung, schöner Blick, aber leider kein ungetrübter Genuss.

sono contenta che la nostra casa, la sua vista e il suo arredamento sia stato di vostro gradimento. Però quanto riguarda i cani dei vicini stiamo provvedendo affinché possa risolversi il problema che si sta creando In questi giorni. Il rumore del traffico è dato dalla zona e certamente le assicuro che Mai ci è stato posto come un problema. La ringrazio comunque ogni anche se piccola critica è d’aiuto per migliorarci. Cordialità

Rien que la vue sur la baie de Naples vaut le déplacement
Nous avons aimé l'emplacement,rue étroite et calme, proche du centre ville. Nous avons passé 15 jours formidables. Demeure typique du secteur et très simple. Rien à redire, nous garderons un excellent souvenir de Sorrento Et nous saluons Eduardo de nous permettre de jouir de cette vue splendide sur la baie de Naples et le Vésuve

Everything we expected; close walk to all Sorrento has to offer!
If you can walk the short, 5-minute climb up, this wonderful apartment will be your reward. Nestled in the hills right above Sorrento center, this 3-bedroom has much to offer including peace and quiet just steps from the city center. The highlight, was its wonderful balcony with a special view of the bay and Mount Vesuvius. After a couple of days it felt like our European home away from home and Sorrento my ideal place to discover the natural beauty of the Amalfi coast. Pluses: the balcony, the second, smaller bathroom w outdoor shower & hot water, Mrs Olga and her husband who live downstairs and greet you upon arrival, tall ceilings, huge windows that allow air flow throughout apartment, the lemon trees/garden surrounding most of building, no surprises in price as it includes everything! Minuses: Access to onsight parking very limited as car needs to be miniscule or it won’t fit through extremely narrow street (but we found street parking relatively easy if you can park in a hill), the neighbours’ guard dogs that will greet you everytime you leave or return to the apartment (they are well fenced in but are menacing even for someone who loves dogs).

Appartement spacieux, bien équipé avec une grande terrasse ouverte sur la baie de Naples.
Accueil sympathique. Juste une remarque: le propriétaire n'avait pas inclus dans le prix de location un montant de 60€ correspondant à l'entretien de la literie et au ménage de l'appartement. Ce forfait étant imposé, il est plus agréable de le savoir au départ que de le découvrir en cours de séjour.
