“I have stayed many times and always excellent.”

“I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. ”

“The room and the entire property was very well presented and fresh. The restaurant was also exceptional with top level table service and a great menu. Only negatives are that road facing room was a little noisy during the morning and evening rush hours and the security light in the room was quite intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stop over.”

“Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotel”

“Great stay in a great pub/inn in a lovely village. Originally we were looking for somewhere near York and picked this place at random – so got lucky. Decent-sized, comfortable room, the beer 'proper' Yorkshire, and the food was excellent throughout – we could have eaten almost amything on the quite extensive menu. “This is a beautiful hotel in all aspects! The breakfast was the nicest hotel I have had in a long while and I travel alot!! Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. Would definately stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again!!”
