“A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks.”

“stayed here because of the pool, after I checked in, I received a message stating the pool was closed for maintenance, which was the whole purpose of staying here, I replied instantly asking could I cancel my booking for a full refund, (so I could stay elsewhere with a pool) and this was never responded to. the pool closure should have been clearly published at booking, and indeed check in, not afterwards, and then to ignore my request for cancelation I find really poor.
