“Full of character Beautiful furnishings. We had small executive double room , bed really comfortable , en-suite modern and clean Breakfast huge and delicious ! Across the road from York Minster Only minor complaint was that the bar closed early (around10.30) Other than that it was perfect and will definitely return ”

“Booked a 1 night stay over in York on our way to Pendle, we had room 3 on the lower level. Getting a large suitcase down the 2 flights of stairs is a bit of a challenge but the room itself was well equipped, clean, lovely powerful shower, comfy bed and coffee making facilities. Perfect for what we wanted Check in was available when we turned up early which was a nice surprise. Very quiet with it being tucked away between shops.”

“Very old property with an antique charm. Our bedroom was very well taken care of. Our only complaint would be the bathroom being a little narrow and damp. But these are things that must be traded off for when considering the age of the building. Its proximity to the Yorkminster made it very nice and easy. The food and drink as well as food service was very good. Servers and bartender were knowledgeable about the drinks and gave us good advice when it was needed.”

“Wonderful kind staff, really helpful. Very good breakfast. Good location. Comfortable bed but duvet rather too warm in very warm weather. Easy walking distance to rail station. ”
