Whole standard of the place was top class. Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. ”

“Rooms here are great, each one is quirky in their own way, and a lovely touch to have radio playing in room as background music on arrival. The 2 ladies that greeted us on arrival were welcoming and showed us all (4 guests) to our rooms.
Evening meal in the bar was great too, cold and frosty outside, the pub reminded me as something out of The Holiday!!!”

“This is a gem of a place for visiting the York Barbican, free car parking, a nice lovely room, absolutely lovely welcome and a warm atmosphere from the staff, breakfast is amazing, honestly I will stay here again and i would recommend.
We had an evening meal here also, and it was excellent, proper Home Cooking, excellent thank you to the staff, if you read this...thank you”
